Chapter 77 - Chapter76

The sharp spear blade directly pierced into the "stone wall," and at the moment when blood suddenly spurted, it went through the "wall" and continued stabbing toward the chief of the Heaven-ranked assassins behind it.

Unfortunately, the existence of the "stone wall" still delayed the spear blade by half a second.

And in that half-second, the Heaven-ranked chief behind the "stone wall" had already been swallowed into the mouth of a huge pangolin that suddenly burst out from underground.

Then, with the chief in its mouth, it narrowly dodged the oncoming spear and dove into the ground, disappearing in an instant.

Elara clicked her tongue inwardly.

It was that same trick all the assassins of the Heaven-ranked list from the Blood-Clothed Tower had!

The power held by the Heaven-ranked chief was the ability to control pangolins.

That pangolin was a giant mutated beast, with armor all over its body as hard as stone and incredibly fast speed.

Ordinary weapons couldn't hurt it at all.

If someone else had encountered this, even if they were unwilling, they would likely have no choice but to watch helplessly as the giant pangolin escaped with its target.

But Elara didn't even regard the giant mutated pangolin as a threat.

She had revealed too much in front of the Heaven-ranked chief and could not let anyone escape alive.

When the giant pangolin turned to flee with the chief in its mouth, Elara closed her eyes and activated the Holy Spirit Blood Soul with unprecedented strength.

She instantly summoned all the powerful Puppet Soldiers nearby, almost enough to fill the whole mountain.

Some dug through the ground, some climbed through tunnels, and others chased and bit.

Countless venomous bugs, snakes, ants, and terrifying beasts swarmed like a flood.

After just a short time tunneling underground, the giant mutated pangolin suddenly found itself surrounded by countless swarming beasts and poisonous creatures.

Most of these bugs and snakes were also highly toxic.

The giant pangolin summoned its kind to resist, but sadly, faced with the overwhelming number of enemies, its companions couldn't hold out at all.

In less than ten seconds, many of them were either killed or severely wounded and became food for the venomous creatures.

The giant pangolin itself was bitten several times by poisonous bugs that chased it underground.

Even though it had strong resistance to poison and a massive body, after being bitten a few times, the giant pangolin still let out a miserable cry.

It started climbing back up toward the surface with the Heaven-ranked chief, not daring to go any deeper underground.

Through her Holy Spirit Blood Soul, Elara stayed in constant communication with the Puppet Soldiers, and naturally knew the giant pangolin's intentions.

She stood guard over the spot where the giant pangolin was about to emerge, gripping her weapons tightly in both hands, ready to strike with a fatal blow.

But just as the pangolin was about to break through the surface, Elara once again felt a chilling sense of danger that made her skin crawl and took her breath away.

She instantly leapt back without hesitation, the speed of her Windcloud Boots pushed to the limit.

At the exact moment she darted backward, a massive pangolin burst out from the ground.

The pangolin opened its enormous mouth, and inside was the top-ranked assassin, forcibly gathering another Photon Cannon.

The blinding golden glow nearly filled the pangolin's entire gaping mouth and lit up half of the vast underground space.

After forming that Photon Cannon, the top assassin's already exhausted mind completely broke down.

In this era, there was no concept of spiritual power, let alone any form of training to strengthen it.

If not for the training and enhancements from the Core Palace, Elara's mental strength would only be slightly stronger than the average person.

The top assassin had immense strength in every other area, but his spiritual power had never been trained.

After suffering heavy spiritual damage, he could no longer use his divine vein blessing.

But sensing the danger outside the pangolin and knowing there was no way out, the top assassin ignored his already shattered spirit and forced out another Photon Cannon.

That Photon Cannon pushed his mental state into a half-collapsed condition, and even someone who had spent their life immersed in deadly battles and suppressed emotions couldn't help but show a crazed and broken expression.

His consciousness became unstable and fuzzy beyond his control.

Even so, he used the last bit of sanity and focus he had to lock his eyes on Elara, desperately wanting to see her killed by the Photon Cannon.

But once again, things didn't go as he expected.

At the moment the Photon Cannon was fired, Elara suddenly sprang back and dodged.

The blast passed just above her toes and shot toward the upper part of the vast underground space.

At the exact moment she dodged the Photon Cannon, Elara grabbed the top assassin, whose face was twisted in collapse and madness.

She pried open the pangolin's gaping mouth with her dagger and dragged the top assassin into the pangolin's body with her.

The next second, the top assassin, still bound by the God Lock, felt a chill at his throat.

A dagger held by Elara had already stabbed deep into his neck.

At the same time, a thunderous explosion echoed from outside, mixed with the painful howl of the giant pangolin.

That last Photon Cannon, forced out by the top assassin's broken mind, had already exploded on the giant mutated pangolin.
