Andy was dumbfounded as he stared at the news updates flashing across his phone screen.
He had just traveled to this parallel world. Although the planet appeared to be the same Earth as in his previous life, things were clearly different.
What confused him the most was the fact that he had arrived in China despite not being Chinese himself.
Thankfully, Andy was fluent in Mandarin. Back in college, he had enjoyed studying foreign languages and had eventually mastered ten of them.
"This is strange… Everything's so strange."
He tapped on the news article about the United States.
"Isn't that the werewolf from Van Helsing?!"
He tapped again this time, on the article about Japan.
"That's the crab monster from One Punch Man! That one wasn't even that strong… And that giant sea monster? It looks exactly like the Sea King from One Piece!"
Next, he tapped on the article about China.
"That's the anaconda from the Anaconda movies! What's it doing in China? Shouldn't it be living in tropical rainforests?"
The image clearly showed a massive anaconda over twenty meters long floating in a swamp. Its body was charred black, as if struck by lightning.

Andy put down his phone, a serious look crossing his face. He was now convinced of one thing.
Characters from the animations, movies, comics, and novels he had read in his previous life... They were appearing in this parallel world for some unknown reason!
