Chapter 9 - Chapter 7

Bella prioritized visiting a shop to purchase jewelry for Annie using her hard-earned money before heading to school. Meanwhile, Clark announced to his friends that the party would be a blast, ensuring there would be no dull moments—just good vibes. Yvonne asked Clark if Bella would attend, and he confidently assured her she would. Yvonne felt a wave of jealousy and suspicion toward their friendship.

Just then, Clark's mom called Yvonne. She stepped into the restroom to take the call. Clark's mom shared information about her plan, emphasizing that Bella would be at the party and that all attention would be on her.

Just then, Clark's mom called Yvonne. She stepped into the restroom to take the call. Clark's mom shared information about her plan, emphasizing that Bella would be at the party and that all attention would be on her.

Clark's mom stuck to the plan. When Bella entered to use the restroom, Yvonne abruptly turned off her phone. Bella noticed her, and Yvonne stormed out, hissing at her and pushing her aside.

Bella was puzzled by Yvonne's behavior but chose not to dwell on it.

Once school was dismissed, everyone went home to prepare for the party. Bella donned a stunning purple dress that turned heads. The party kicked off, and Clark introduced his friends to Annie.

Annie recognized Yvonne, greeted her with, "Hi, Yvonne! You look even more beautiful!" Yvonne smiled and inquired about Annie's time in Canada. They shared a cheerful conversation while Caleb asked Clark about Bella, but Clark admitted he had no idea where she was, trying to call her without success.

Meanwhile, Bella was stuck in traffic and was experiencing signal issues, preventing her from reaching anyone.

When Kim arrived at Clark's house, he greeted her with, "Hi, Kim! How are you? I've been trying to get in touch with your friend, but she's not answering." Kim confirmed she had also tried to contact Bella without success. Concerned, Clark decided to wait outside for her while Annie chatted with Yvonne. Noticing Clark was outside alone, Annie left Yvonne to check on him with his friends, who informed her he was waiting outside. Annie stepped out and found him.

"Hey, bro! Why are you outside alone? Are you waiting for someone?" Clark replied, "Not exactly—I just wanted some fresh air; it's warm inside with the crowd." Annie pointed out that the AC was on. Clark stammered as he searched for an excuse, finally saying, "Uh... okay, let's go back in." They both re-entered the house.

Minutes later, Bella arrived and made a grand entrance. All eyes were drawn to her beauty in that dress; despite her shyness, she commanded attention. Clark was mesmerized, unable to look away. At that moment, Yvonne texted Clark's mom. Curious, Annie asked Clark, "Who is this stunning girl?" He responded confidently, "She's my friend."

Clark's mom came out from her room to see Bella. Clark approached Bella, saying, "Hey, Bella, I've been trying to reach you." Bella then explained the situation

Kim approached the group and inquired, "Bella, what occurred? I attempted to call you, but you did not respond."

Bella recounted the same information she had previously shared with Clark. At this moment, Annie joined the conversation, greeting them with, "Hello, stranger." Bella was taken aback to see Annie and replied, "Hi, dear. I assume you are the celebrant." Clark then informed Annie about Bella, and Annie appeared to take a liking to her, complimenting her appearance.

Annie then asked Clark, "Is she the one for whom you were waiting outside?" Clark was momentarily speechless and ultimately conceded with a "yes." Annie began to tease Clark, noting that she had never seen him in such a state, and inquired, "What did you do to my brother to make him behave this way?" Kim found their interaction amusing and interjected, "Yes, she is correct."

Bella, unsure of how to respond, presented Annie with a jewelry gift to divert attention from Annie's probing questions. Upon opening the gift, Annie expressed her delight, as it turned out to be a cherished item. She thanked Bella and hugged her, just as Yvonne approached, remarking, "Hey, Bella! I did not realize you were already here." Annie showcased her gift to Yvonne, who felt a sense of jealousy and bitterness, believing that Annie had surpassed her in some regard. Consequently, she exited the scene.

Yvonne went to speak with Clark's mother, Mrs. Jane, and shared her thoughts on Bella. Mrs. Jane decided it would be prudent to inquire further about Bella's background. Yvonne provided her with the limited information she possessed, prompting Mrs. Jane to instruct her to find out where Bella lived and report back. Yvonne then committed to this plan.

After the celebration, they returned home. Kim drove Bella back, who brought numerous items for her family. Kira inquired about the party, to which Bella responded, "It was enjoyable. I regard Clark's sister as a kind person."

Mrs. Valerie inquired if Bella had met Clark's parents, to which Bella replied in the negative, explaining that they did not come out. Mrs. Valerie expressed her desire to meet Clark's mother, suggesting that she must have been instrumental in raising such an endearing child.

The family then retired for the night, with the following day designated for a competition that their school was hosting. The event was well-attended. Luke commented, "Your school is quite large, and the students are quite attractive." They took their seats and prepared for the program.

The Bieber family arrived with substantial security, given the crowd, and were provided with a special seating arrangement as sponsors of the school. Yvonne attended with her mother, Mrs. Selana, a model in Mexico, who captivated the students' attention with her youthful appearance. Consequently, Yvonne's mother became a trending topic in the school group chat, leading students to compare her favorably to Clark's mother. Unlike the Bieber family, she was seated among the general audience, as she preferred not to draw attention to herself, and the audience admired her unpretentious demeanor.
