Chapter 60 - Chapter 59: Storms Stir Above and Below

The sky above Qingye Sect churned. Clouds, once idle and serene, now swirled unnaturally — like a slumbering beast beginning to stir. Elders stationed along the protective formation frowned as qi currents began to ripple out of sync.

Within the Inner Sanctum, Lin Ho sat cross-legged on a flat stone, his breathing calm, his soul anything but. The newly awakened Cycle of Chaos scripture flowed through him, not in orderly meridian paths, but in unpredictable arcs — shaping, erasing, rebuilding.

Each breath refined not just qi, but will.

Each thought invoked not just memory, but eternity.

A small stone beside him cracked from the pressure.

> "Chaos does not cultivate," he muttered. "It becomes."

His comprehension deepened, reaching into realms most didn't even have names for. But that power came with weight.

Bai Qing burst into the chamber, panting.

> "Lin Ho. Something's wrong. The sky—"

"I know," he said, rising. "It's reacting to the inheritance. Or perhaps… to what's coming."

Southern Waters – Aboard a Sea Serpent

Far across the ocean, a fleet of ancient warships glided silently through mists thick enough to drown light. On their decks stood warriors clad in silver bone armor, their eyes glowing blue.

At the head of the formation, a figure towered above the rest. Robed in living shadows, he raised a staff carved from abyssal bone and pointed eastward.

> "He has awakened it. Just like the Oracle foresaw."

Behind him, the sea began to churn. A great eye opened beneath the waves — not beast, not man, but something older.

> "Release the tide beasts," the figure ordered. "Let chaos answer chaos."

From the depths, monstrous creatures rose — crustaceans the size of mountains, serpents of lightning and ash, things that should not exist in the mortal world.

Their destination: the Eastern Realms.

Qingye Sect – Council Chambers

Elder Qiu slammed his palm on the jade table.

> "This is no longer about sect politics or simple power struggles. A remnant of the Abyss is moving."

The Grand Elder, a figure rarely seen, finally spoke.

> "Then the Chaos Heir must be protected. Or destroyed."

Everyone turned toward him, stunned.

Elder Qiu narrowed his eyes. "You would dare threaten a chaos bloodline bearer?"

> "I only speak for the survival of the sect."

But a chill spread through the room. Somewhere deep in their hearts, they all remembered — the ancient texts, the forbidden legends.

Chaos was not an enemy.

It was the reset button of reality.

Lin Ho's Courtyard

As the sky roared and the clouds cracked, Lin Ho stood under the open heavens.

He drew a circle in the dirt with his foot, then stepped into its center.

> "If they come, I will answer."

His blade, still silent since his last battle, pulsed once in response.

Above, thunder gathered — not from weather, but from fate.

And somewhere across the sea, something laughed.
