Chapter 12 - Beginning of the Journey

After establishing a dedicated hierarchy for the angel race, Ventair decided he wouldn't create any more angels.

The remaining energy would be reserved for emergencies. His next step was to venture outwards to explore further and find a way to replenish his energy.

"To do that, I need to return to the Outerverse."

"I have to be more careful this time," he murmured to himself, a flicker of caution in his eyes.

"Luckily, last time I was too weak for anyone to notice my appearance."

He still remembered the sensation of being swept away into that undefined space, and the feeling of nearly losing his life to an unavoidable, massive slash was an experience he absolutely didn't want to repeat.

Returning to that place was probably very dangerous, but he couldn't just stay in this space.

'And besides, now...'

He turned his head, his gaze sweeping over his four Angels.

Their presence filled Ventair with confidence and strength, a feeling of no longer being as alone as he was when he first ventured out.

Then he spoke:

"My angels, I have decided to go out now, and I should go alone."

"You are to remain here, for if too many go, we will draw more attention."

"And I do not know what I will encounter in the Outerverse, so if anything happens, I can quickly escape."

Immediately, Seraphiel approached him.

"My Lord, there is actually a way for you not to have to return to that dangerous Outerverse."

Ventair was surprised: "There's a way?"

"Yes, my Lord, according to the knowledge I have been provided..."

Just as Seraphiel was about to continue, Mechaniel interjected from beside her.

"To avoid returning to the Outerverse, you must conceal your primordial energy so as not to be drawn to it."

Seraphiel blinked at Mechaniel, then smiled with an annoyed tone:

"Hey Mechaniel, I was the one answering the Heaven Lord, why did you butt in?"

But Mechaniel remained silent, ignoring her.

Feeling ignored, Seraphiel became more irritated. Although she still wore a gentle smile, a golden aura emanating from behind her seemed to betray her anger.

Abyzarai and Belloniel simply stood watching, not interfering.

Seeing this, Ventair was surprised. He hadn't expected Mechaniel to have such a personality.

"Ahem, thank you, Mechaniel and Seraphiel, for answering my question. I am very pleased."

Hearing Ventair's praise, Seraphiel immediately turned, bowed slightly, and offered a gentle smile, though still unable to hide a hint of reproach:

"Thank you for listening, Heaven Lord."

"But please remember... if those who do not understand etiquette are allowed to interrupt so freely, sooner or later, order within the Celestial Realm will be disrupted."

She said, her voice soft yet sarcastic.

Mechaniel, maintaining her emotionless gaze and robotic voice, replied coldly:

"In a necessary situation, efficiency is more important than etiquette."

"Information should be conveyed as quickly as possible to avoid wasting your time."

Seraphiel raised an eyebrow, her displeasure now more evident, but she did not retort. Instead, she took a deep breath, chuckled softly, adjusted her posture, and continued:

"Returning to the main point, for you to conceal your energy, you only need to store it within this space, or rather, seal it within your soul and prevent it from leaking out."

"However, by doing this, you will not be able to use your primordial energy outside your body; you can only use it when you return to this space."

Upon hearing Seraphiel's explanation, Ventair immediately understood.

So, his initial arrival in the Outerverse was due to his energy leaking out, which had pulled him there.

As for the drawback of not being able to use his primordial energy outside, he could simply use other energy sources, like divine energy.

Now that he knew how to avoid that, an invisible burden lifted, and he breathed a sigh of relief. His face relaxed, and a small smile appeared.

"So... I won't need to return to that dangerous place anymore?" he asked, almost to himself.

"But if so, where will I go?" He posed this question to his angels.

This time, Mechaniel answered:

"My Lord, if you have sealed your energy, the Outerverse will no longer contain you."

"You will then automatically return to the lowest realm, the Universe."

"That will either be your original universe or a different one."

Ventair mused: "So that's how it is."

"Then, I should seal my energy next."

With that, he closed his eyes, sensing his energy. He then began to compress it into his soul and lock it away.

He opened his eyes, looking at himself, but saw no change. He wondered if it had failed.

Then Abyzarai spoke:

"You have succeeded, my Lord. I can no longer sense any energy leakage from you."

Belloniel and the other two angels also nodded in agreement.

This reassured him. Now, it was time to go out. He looked back at his angels and told them:

"You all, remain within my soul space. Only when I summon you are you permitted to appear. I do not wish your appearance to cause unnecessary attention from the outset."

Seraphiel, Abyzarai, Mechaniel, and Belloniel simultaneously bowed, showing absolute obedience.

Seeing this, Ventair closed his eyes, focusing his entire will on a single thought: 'Go out.'

He didn't know how to control the process, only felt an invisible pulling force drawing him away. His body became weightless, then a dazzling, swirling sensation enveloped him.

When Ventair opened his eyes, the pure white space of his soul had completely vanished. Instead, he found himself in a deep, endless black expanse, dotted with countless sparkling specks like diamond dust – these were stars, planets.

He knew this was the space within some universe, but this time, he no longer felt the utter emptiness and coldness of before. Instead, he felt a greater sense of safety. He looked around, feeling himself suspended in the void.

He didn't know where he was, and a fleeting sense of disorientation passed through him.

"I'm in some star system, but is this the universe with Earth? Or a completely unfamiliar one?" he wondered.

However, that thought was quickly dismissed. Earth, where he once lived, was now in the past.

He no longer yearned for it, for now he had a new purpose, a grander mission, and his own creations. He had a place to belong, a kingdom to build.

He turned around and saw something unexpected. It was a planet with water and five large continents.

It didn't seem to be Earth. Far in the distance was a colossal star emitting tremendous heat, a blazing ball of fire, just like the familiar Sun, but seemingly much larger and hotter.

He thought to himself:

'Mechaniel, analyze the planet before me.'

'Yes, my Lord.'

In mere seconds, he received a response.

Efficiency, as expected of a mechanical angel.

'My Lord, the planet before you is comparable in size to Jupiter from your home solar system —approximately 11.22 times Earth's diameter, and 1410.5 times its volume.''Its surface suggests the possibility of life forms.'

Ventair was stunned — not just by its size, but by the possibility of life.

He wondered:

Would he meet races other than humans here?

As he contemplated, he noticed something —the planet was rapidly growing larger in his field of view.

He could now see its mountain peaks from space.

He was entering the atmosphere.

The pressure mounted on his body as the air resistance surged.

Friction blazed around him.

"This can't go on!"

Ventair shouted internally.

He shut his eyes, gathering all his will.'Spatial Barrier.'

A translucent, yet sturdy energy shield formed around him, redirecting the searing heat and crushing pressure.

At that moment, within Ventair's soul space, his four angels sensed the danger.

Without a word, they acted.

Seraphiel reacted first. From her hands radiated a golden shield of pure light, enveloping Ventair's own barrier. It did more than block heat — it calmed the chaos around him like a divine prayer amid the storm.

Abyzaria followed.Darkness surged from her, forming a pitch-black veil around the light. It devoured impact force, dissolving destruction into void.

Mechaniel raised her arm, deploying a dynamic mechanical barrier —a semi-transparent lattice of energy rings that adjusted in real time to pressure changes.

Simultaneously, Belloniel closed her eyes and whispered an ancient battle blessing.A massive, mystical war shield formed, layering over the others, repelling some of the atmospheric forces with divine force.

Four shields — light, shadow, machine, and war —intertwined to form a celestial bastion in chaos.

With this combined divine protection,Ventair hurtled downward like a burning comet, unstoppable.

On the surface, a few already noticed the descending light.

As he passed through the stratosphere, the friction howled, his shields screamed with strain.

Ventair's body shook, bones vibrating. Each breath was a struggle. He knew — without the angels, he'd be ash.

Cracks formed in the barriers.Energy flared, fading.Pressure crushed him like mountains.

His vision blurred.Still, he saw the ground — closer and clearer.

He couldn't stop now.He was falling with all the force of a divine meteor.

BOOM!!!A thunderous explosion shook the plains.

Earth flew skyward. Dust blanketed the horizon.

A crater — vast and smoldering — marked his landing.

The entire plain shook.

Leaves fell like rain, birds and beasts fled in all directions. The dust slowly cleared, revealing a collapsed figure at the bottom of the crater, Ventair, who had just fallen into this strange world.

That was the beginning of a journey to build his own empire, his own army.
