Chapter 90 - Chapter 24 – Part 5: Midnight Confessions

Location: Natasha's Quarters, Midnight

The tower was silent, wrapped in the hush of midnight. In her room, Natasha sat cross-legged on her bed, arms resting on her knees, staring at the floor. Her knuckles still ached faintly from the sparring match earlier.

She hadn't meant to go that hard.

Or maybe she had.

She didn't know what bothered her more—the fact that Riven had taken it all without blinking, or the fact that Wanda had looked at her like she understood.

A quiet knock at the door broke her thoughts.

Natasha blinked, got up, and opened the door to find Wanda standing there, holding two cups of tea. Wordlessly, she stepped aside and let her in.

They sat together on the bed. The silence between them wasn't tense—just full of things unsaid.

Wanda took a sip, then asked softly, "Do you like him?"

Natasha chuckled dryly, almost on instinct. "What? No. Come on. Why would I like him?"

Wanda didn't smile. She turned to look at her, eyes steady. "Because I do."

That froze Natasha. The humor vanished from her face. She looked at Wanda, seeing the honesty in her expression.

Wanda continued, quieter now. "I told him. After we got back from the mission. I told him how I felt. He didn't say anything, not yet... but I just wanted you to know."

Natasha didn't respond. She simply nodded.

Wanda stood, setting her tea down. "Good night, Nat."

As the door closed softly behind her, Natasha remained still, alone with her silence.

[Bonus Scene – Revin's Quarters, Same Night]

The quiet in Revin's room is near complete, broken only by the soft hum of the tower's ventilation.

He sits on the edge of his bed, freshly showered and still wearing the same blank expression he's held since returning. He exhales, rubs his face—

A sudden sneeze.

Revin blinks, sniffles once, then mutters under his breath:

"Feels like someone's been talking about me."

He shakes his head faintly, lays back on the bed, and stares at the ceiling in silence.
