"It's a new member, he wants to join the guild" Lola answered, as the figure referred to as Soma heard Lola's words her eyebrows dropped as a frown appeared on her face.
Kishio gazed at the two figures, they looked exactly alike, except Lola who he had been chatting with had yellow eyes, while Soma had brown eyes.
"Lola, I've told you already, you need to stop. Quit your work here, I've decided to take the guild under the lifeless clan. It's for the better. Dad would be happy and finally free to be with his daughters" Soma said, strictly scolding Lola.
Kishio finally understood why they looked alike , they were sisters, but it seemed there was a bit of bad blood between them because of the lifeless clan.
"Dad said we should focus more on the guild's development and you want to go and surrender it to them, after what they've done!" Lola retorted, unwilling to accept her sister's decision.
"I'm in charge, and I've made my decision. In the next two and a half months, one of their representatives will come over. It's best to end this rather than dragging out the inevitable. Enjoy the last moments of the guild." Soma spoke calmly, Lola's words falling on deaf ears, she turned her gaze to Kishio for a while before walking away.
Lola looked down as she clenched her fist and continued walking forward. She bit her lip in anger to keep herself from making any sounds.
Kishio was a bit confused at the moment, was she still going to assess him, was he meant to continue following her, he just shrugged off the thoughts and continued following her.
The walk continued for a few minutes, after a while Kishio began to wonder if she was aware he was trailing her, when he was just about to speak up, Lola finally walked up to a door and stopped.
Her head remained facing down the entire moment and her fist clenched, Lola raised her hand, opened the door and walked in, as soon as she entered, the door shut behind her.
'What the…' Kishio didn't even know what to think, was he to knock, enter or leave, just when he was about to turn around the door suddenly opened and a hand pulled him by the shirt inside not giving him time to think things through.
"Help me" Kishio finally saw Lola raise her head, her eyes teary as a bit of blood trailed down the side of her lips, she had bit herself so hard that she incurred an injury.
Kishio opened his mouth to speak but Lola continued, tears rolling down her eyes "...It was a year ago, the lifeless clan made an agreement with my father to clear a special SSS-rank dungeon. Father accepted the offer and it was a hard battle, but in the end the team prevailed, until the people of the lifeless clan turned against them." Lola explained pausing a bit as more tears streamed down, she wanted to stop and look away, but she needed help, she was lost, confused, powerless.
"They demanded the living spring guild surrender under the lifeless clan, claiming the resources or the hunts and even members, father refused." She continued tightening her fist again "The vice-leader of the lifeless didn't like it though, through trickery, he had father taken away under his control, they had us cornered from the start. Slowly the prominent clans signed under our guild left, we are only left with a few weak ones, at this rate, we might lose the guild by law before the lifeless clan takes over…please…help us" Lola buried her head in his chest, her voice breaking as she sobbed.
Kishio took a deep breath as he placed his hand on her head, he planned on staying with the guild initially as they had many resources and especially because it was the closest to Yanran and Yue, hence he had no reason to back out, he knew he had to work hard and fast.
By law if a clan or guild couldn't control all the dungeons under them, especially high ranked dungeons, the laws staged that they had to disband or go under another guildor clan, that was what Lola meant, the law would deem them incapable and will force them to go under another.
It was in view of the safety of the people such a law was created though, as if the clan was too weak and couldn't clear the dungeons under them, if a dungeon was to explode, how were they to stop the chaos.
"I'll take care of it." Kishio suddenly said his tone steady, surprising Lola, she looked up at him, her big teary eyes seemed hopeful. No promises or vows, but his words seemed to weigh more than an oath at the moment to her.
"Really?" Lola asked, giving up the guild to the lifeless clan could be as well as her giving you her life and becoming a slave.
"Mmm" Kishio nodded in affirmation.

Lola had her eyes wide opened as she stared at Kishio's test result, the tablet in her hands displayed 'E-rank' boldly, she looked at Kishio as he walked out of the test zone, his brown eyes appeared emotionless, unreadable, she couldn't tell what was going on in his mind, hus long black hair swayed left and right slowly.
She shook her head to clear her thoughts, she admitted he was handsome, but how does he plan to fulfill his words, he was only E-rank, she felt like facepalming for placing her trust in someone random, she had thought he had hailed from another guild and was just searching for a new one to join.
"How is the result?" Kishio asked Lola who seemed list in thought, she smiled wryly as she handed him a small green card.
"E-rank" Kishio read out the rank displayed on the card as he scratched the back of his head with a wry smile, the card read out his name, guild and rank, he of course knew his rank was low so he wasn't surprised, and he knew his words of before would seem like he was just trying to impress her.
"Let's get you a standard team first," Lola said, her facial expression serious as she scrolled through her tablet, but then the wristband on her left hand began to beep, she tapped on it and a voice spoke from the band.
"Yes. I'll be there" Lola responded to the voice before cutting the communication "Kishio, for now you should find a small team to adventure low tier dungeons with. You can start with maybe a F-rank dungeon, I have to be somewhere important, you could meet with me back here in the next four days." Lola said, it sounded like she had important matters to attend to.

Kishio stood in front of a large board, multiple quests and dungeons, missions were displayed on the board.
He walked about searching for one he could take up "Hey, you looking for a quest?" Kishio heard a voice from behind, he had felt the presence, but he assumed it was just someone looking for a lower tier quest as that was the section he was in.
"Yes, non-elemental dungeon" Kishio replied as he turned around, he assumed it was a guide in the guild but on seeing the figure he knew it was another adventurer.
"I haven't seen you around, you're new to the guild right? Why don't you come with my team?" The silver-eyed young man said, he was clad in a light armor making it obvious he was an adventurer, his right hand was left uncovered though as in place of his index finger was a mini sword the size of a finger, it was an exo parasite, the kind that lived outside the body.
Kishio wondered why the man wished to recruit him though, he had barely managed to pass the F-rank with his physical stats as he had refrained from using wither and risking going unconscious. The test was performed with machines so even if he had used wither, he would have been unable to make the energy expended back.
"Sure" Kishio replied with a shrug, the young man spoke as he led Kishio out of the guild.
"Kizo, hurry up," as Kishio and the silver-eyed young man came out of the guild he heard a feminine voice shout, he looked in the direction and could see a team of three standing, they seemed to have been waiting for the individual with him named Kizo.
"Who's he?" someone from the group asked.
"He's our last member…everyone meet…" the silver-eyed team leader Kizo said as he swung his hands dramatically towards Kishio in a bid for him to introduce himself.
