Chapter 6 - Ch6. Unveiling the Cheat Code

Aryan Vaibhav Shrivastava had just stepped out of his class and was now heading toward the academy's library. However, he wasn't entirely sure of the library's exact location. Confused about the direction, he approached a fellow student to ask for guidance. At first, the student seemed reluctant, trying to brush him off, but eventually, he pointed Aryan toward the library. Aryan thanked him politely and set off in the direction indicated.

After a short walk, Aryan arrived at the library building. From the outside, it appeared unremarkable, blending seamlessly with the other structures of the academy. Yet, its sheer size was striking—sprawling in both length and width, it was far larger than he had expected. As he approached the entrance, ready to step inside, a gruff voice halted him in his tracks. "Stop, young man! Where do you think you're going?"

Startled, Aryan turned toward the source of the voice. Seated on a wooden chair by the library's entrance was an elderly man, likely in his sixties or seventies, with a weathered face and a stern expression. Aryan studied him for a moment and realized this must be the library's security guard. Composing himself, he responded courteously, "Namaste, Elder. My name is Aryan Chauhan, and I enrolled in the academy just yesterday. I've come to the library to read some books on cultivation techniques." To verify his identity, he presented his student token, holding it out for the man to inspect.

The elderly man, whose name was Saurav Yadav, examined the token with a cursory glance before nodding. "You may enter," he said in a gravelly tone, "but mind yourself—don't make any noise inside. There are many students studying, and disturbances won't be tolerated." Aryan nodded in agreement, fully aware that causing a commotion in the library could disrupt others and reflect poorly on him. He had no intention of being a nuisance, especially since he himself disliked anyone interrupting his studies.

Saurav Yadav was an elder of the academy, tasked with overseeing the library and maintaining its disciplined environment. His role was straightforward: check the IDs of incoming students and ensure the library remained a sanctuary of silence and focus. He had no interest in the academy's internal politics or the personal details of the students, such as which teacher mentored whom. Saurav was a simple, duty-bound man who kept to himself and performed his responsibilities diligently.

With the elder's permission, Aryan stepped into the library. Inside, he was struck by the vastness of the space. Rows upon rows of towering bookshelves stretched across the room, filled with countless volumes. The library was meticulously organized, with ample seating areas for students to study in peace. Ignoring the grandeur, Aryan focused on his goal: finding books on cultivation techniques. He made his way to the section dedicated to Martial Spirit Gathering Level 1 techniques, eager to learn about the methods cultivators used to harness the energy of heaven and earth within their bodies.

Upon reaching the section, Aryan grabbed a stack of twenty books on Martial Spirit Gathering Level 1 techniques and found a quiet corner to sit. He glanced around, ensuring he wouldn't disturb anyone, and prepared to dive into his reading. As he reached for the first book, his fingers brushing its cover, he contemplated what kind of techniques it might teach. Suddenly, an inexplicable sensation washed over him. His surroundings blurred, and he felt himself being pulled into a different realm—a dimension within his own body.

Aryan found himself floating in a void of absolute darkness. The silence was deafening, a pin-drop stillness that made him feel profoundly uneasy. There was no ground beneath his feet, no walls, no light—only an endless expanse of nothingness. Panic crept into his mind as he wondered where he was and why he felt so weightless. Desperate to escape, he tried to move, but his body refused to budge, as if anchored in place by an invisible force. Despite his frantic efforts, he remained trapped in the void, unable to break free.

Exhausted from his futile struggles, Aryan was on the verge of despair when a blinding light, brighter than the sun itself, erupted before him. The intensity seared his eyes, forcing him to shut them tightly as pain shot through his head. After what felt like an eternity, the discomfort subsided, and he cautiously opened his eyes. To his astonishment, the light had transformed into a magnificent, ornate door, reminiscent of the grand entrances found in the palaces of ancient kings. The door was adorned with intricate carvings and inscribed with words in an ancient, unfamiliar script. Its majestic yet mysterious appearance sent a shiver down Aryan's spine.

As he gazed at the door, an inexplicable sense of dread gripped him. His heart raced, and his instincts screamed for him to turn away. He tried to suppress the fear, but it clung to him like a shadow. For a moment, he averted his eyes, hoping to calm his nerves. When he felt ready, he steeled himself and looked at the door again. Curiosity battled with fear in his mind. He decided he had to know what lay beyond it. After all, he suspected this door was the key to his entrapment in this strange dimension. If he didn't uncover its secrets, he might never escape.

Summoning his courage, Aryan stepped toward the door. Each step felt heavier than the last, as if the door itself was exerting a force to keep him at bay. Standing before it, he raised his hand to touch the handle but hesitated, overwhelmed by an unshakable sense of foreboding. Embarrassed by his own fear, he chastised himself—how could a mere door intimidate him so much? Determined to overcome his hesitation, he reached out again, only to pull back at the last moment. The cycle repeated, his hand hovering just inches from the door before retreating.

Frustrated and unwilling to let a simple door defeat him, Aryan resolved to act. This was now a matter of pride. He refused to be cowed by an inanimate object. With a surge of determination, he placed both hands on the door and pushed with all his might. To his dismay, the door didn't budge. Undeterred, he tried again, throwing his entire weight into the effort. Still, it remained immovable. Confusion turned to realization as Aryan slapped his forehead in frustration. The door wasn't locked—it was simply too heavy for one hand or a half-hearted push.

Bracing himself, Aryan gathered every ounce of strength and pushed with both hands, pouring his entire being into the task. A loud creak echoed through the void as the door slowly swung open. Relief and triumph washed over him as he caught his breath, exhilarated by his success. But when he peered through the doorway, his elation turned to shock. Beyond the door lay a vast chamber filled with countless racks, each brimming with books.

Stepping through the threshold, Aryan explored the new space. The racks stretched endlessly in every direction, forming a labyrinth of knowledge. As he wandered, his eyes caught sight of a single book tucked away in a corner. Without hesitation, he reached for it, his curiosity piqued. As his fingers grazed the cover, a flood of information surged into his mind:

*"Heavenly Library: This library has been created by extracting the internal storage space of your mobile device and linking it to your soul. While your phone had only 256 GB of storage, this Heavenly Library within your mind grants you access to unlimited storage. Any book, technique, or information you encounter will be recorded here as a book on these racks. To retrieve that knowledge, simply think of the subject, and the relevant information will instantly manifest in your mind."*

Aryan's mind reeled as he processed this revelation. At first, it seemed too fantastical to believe, but clarity soon dawned. He nearly leaped with joy. "Is this… my golden finger? My cheat code?" he thought, his excitement barely contained. The concept reminded him of the *Library of Heaven's Path*, a cheat code from a novel he admired. But he quickly dismissed the comparison. "Why should I care if it's similar? This is *my* Heavenly Library, and I should celebrate it, not question its origins. After all, some things in the world are bound to resemble each other."

Eager to test his newfound power, Aryan searched the racks and found the very book on cultivation techniques he had been reading in the real world. He opened it and began to read: *Rudrapur Cultivation Technique*. The text explained that this technique was created by the first expert of Rudrapur, designed specifically for its people. However, the original version was riddled with flaws. Over time, it had been refined, but it remained average for normal cultivators and utterly inadequate for exceptional ones. The book noted approximately 1,500 errors in the technique, advising that to perfect it, one would need to study additional techniques to compensate for its shortcomings.

Aryan's heart swelled with pride and anticipation. With the Heavenly Library at his disposal, he could learn and perfect any technique with ease. As he finished reading, the dimension around him dissolved, and he found himself back in the real world, seated in the academy's library with the book still in his hands.

Will Aryan's cheat code propel him to greatness in the world of cultivation, or will it lead him into unforeseen troubles? To find out, stay tuned for the next chapter of *I Can Learn Anything*!
