A snake had appeared, likely around 20 meters long, with a body covered in black scales that looked like they were made of steel.
As it moved along the road, a continuous clanging noise echoed from the friction between its scales and the asphalt.
"Damn, that's a Level 6 Monster!" shouted one of the students near the snake.
He looked terrified and quickly fled.
Still, the fastest one to escape was Joel, who flew away. Even though he was the one who asked for help, he was also the one furthest ahead when the principal and the others started retreating.
Of course, Liam wanted to kill the snake.
Whoosh!
He flew straight up using his single Phoenix wing, followed by Zombie Paul and Zombie Alice, while the Husky had already rushed ahead, barking loudly at the snake without any fear.
The students following the principal passed by Zombie Alice, and they appeared mesmerized by her—especially Anthony, who didn't even blink.
But their fascination quickly turned into horror when they saw Alice's red claws grow longer and easily slice through zombie after zombie in her path.
In no time, Liam arrived above the snake, which glared at him coldly and hungrily, as if it intended to swallow him whole.
And indeed, it could easily do so. With that size, it could practically swallow an elephant.
Liam pondered what kind of attack he should use against the snake.
Shua!
Suddenly, he saw Alice moving swiftly toward the snake and slashing it with high-speed claw strikes.
Naturally, the snake's body was instantly torn.
Alice's claws could pierce a Tier 1 Shield—how could they not tear through the snake's scales?
However, when Zombie Paul slashed at the snake with his four blood swords, they were all repelled.
That showed how tough the scales were.
Liam then transformed his right hand into the hand of a Heavenly Wolf, equipped with razor-sharp claws.
At Level 3, that hand had evolved, now enveloped by sharp wind that fused perfectly with it—as if body and soul had united. Compared to using Wind Blade on his sword, the fusion of the Heavenly Wolf hand with wind was much more complete.
Additionally, he found he could extend the claws with just a thought.
Liam even felt his agility had doubled, making it seem like his Agility Attribute had caught up to the others—even though it hadn't even reached 1 Point before.
Of course, the downside was that he could no longer fly.
But that wasn't a problem.
He fell, having lost his wing, but fortunately the snake was now focused on attacking the Husky and Zombie Paul from the front.
Liam landed right on the snake's body and immediately slashed it with his wolf claws.
Crack!
The snake's scales were instantly torn apart, revealing red flesh that the claws easily penetrated.
The wind coating the claws seemed to go berserk, ripping through the snake's flesh all the way down to its belly—where Liam saw its insides filled with human corpses, or more accurately, zombies.
The snake's body reared high from the pain of being torn open.
Liam could hear a faint, screech-like hiss. Perhaps the snake couldn't hiss any louder.
Its head quickly turned toward Liam, lunging with its jaws wide open.
Even its tail swung up at him from below.
If he jumped, it would be easier for the snake to swallow him. If he stayed on the ground, he'd be hit by the tail.
But Liam wasn't afraid. He didn't plan to jump.
His hand turned into the hand of a Stone Dragon, and he punched the incoming tail.
BANG!
The power of the Stone Dragon punch was incomparable. The scales on the snake's tail shattered completely, and the tail was flung backward with such force that it dragged the rest of the snake's body and head along with it.
BANG!
It crashed into a small building, which collapsed instantly.
Everyone watching from the school's fortress wall was left in awe.
"Luis is really way stronger than us," said one of the students.
"It's because of his skills. We got basic ones while he got insanely powerful ones. I thought the Apocalypse System was fair, but clearly it's not," another complained.
As the giant snake fell, Liam, Paul, Alice, and the Husky all charged it at once.
This was a perfect chance to gang up and kill it.
Paul, whose four swords couldn't penetrate the snake's scales, now slashed at its tail, which had been stripped of its armor. Meanwhile, the Husky boldly charged into the snake's belly and began tearing apart its flesh.
The snake writhed uncontrollably from the pain in its tail and belly.
It couldn't focus on Liam and Alice, who were now approaching its head.
Alice boldly jumped onto its head and drove her elongated claws through its neck.
They stretched so deep that they pierced the ground beneath.
Liam, without jumping, transformed his right hand once again into the Heavenly Wolf hand and extended the claws to their maximum—over two meters long.
Whoosh!
He slashed across the snake's neck, ripping it open from end to end until the head was completely severed from its long body.
When the head and body are separated, death isn't a matter of time—it happens immediately.
