Arriving in the hotel room, Fushiguro wasted no time and told Kenshin about the reason why he came to him.
"Cursed Spirits? I don't remember encountering any of the cursed spirits in that alley." Kenshin raised an eyebrow and lied with a poker face.
Obviously, he also has his deception skills maxed out, and not even the god of lies would be able to tell if he's lying or not.
"Really? Then tell me what really happened in that alley." Fushiguro leaned on the wall and crossed his arms, casting a suspicious glance toward Kenshin.
Of course, just because he has deception skills maxed out doesn't rule other people out for their suspicions.
It just makes him a good and undetectable liar.
"Those two thugs I went in with were taken down by me. It took me quite a long time but by the time I was done, a girl was recording everything and I chased after her in which unfortunately, I was too exhausted to keep up with her." Kenshin shrugged his shoulders and just when Fushiguro was about to launch another question, Kenshin deliberately answered again.
"Before you ask me how I took down two grown adults. Would you believe me if I said I learned how to fight from YouTube and online combat lessons?"
"….Alright then. Let's say what you're telling me is true, then how about my Shikigami, how did you see it without being a curse user?"
"I was born with it. Ever since I was a kid, I can already see these weird creatures and at first, I was afraid of them but before long, I realized that as long as I pretended to not see them, they wouldn't harm me." Kenshin continued with the lie, shrugging his shoulders once again.
Honestly, there's a reason why he's restraining himself from speaking the truth.
First of all, he doesn't want to be under the radar of the Jujutsu Sorcerers. Involving himself with them while still being weak is like wishing for death to come and take his life.
Second, as much as possible, he wants to live a normal life while fulfilling his dream of having a girlfriend.
Last but not the least, he doesn't like to be tied down by others. If Fushiguro discovers his true capabilities, no doubt the boy will use force to recruit him to their Jujutsu High where more dangers lurk everywhere.
Even if he refused, there's no stopping him from letting his white-haired overpowered teacher come and knock on his door with a toothy grin.
From what he could tell, that man likes to come and grab anything that is considered a dangerous individual by the Jujutsu Council and take them under his wings.
Megumi Fushiguro, who can summon the Doomsday-like spirit.
Itadori Yuji, literally the vessel of the strongest cursed spirit in the world, Ryomen Sukuna.
Then there's also Yuta Okkotsu. The boy he just saw and heard from a few videos back in his original world. Said to be Jujutsu Kaisen's version of an Uchiha.
And each and every single one of them experienced something tragic or hardships.
If fate works that way then Kenshin doesn't want that. He's already suffered enough, he deserved some peace.
All in all, Kenshin would prefer a peaceful life without any troubles.
"You're right about that." Fushiguro nodded his head. Recalling some certain extremely low-level cursed spirits that don't cause any harm and won't harm normal humans.
"Though that doesn't explain how you didn't encounter the curse spirit when its said location is in that alley." He pointed out.
"Aren't you the investigator here? I haven't seen any cursed spirit you're talking about and even if I do, I doubt I would be standing here alive and well, right?" In the end, Kenshin had to give a valid explanation, or else Fushiguro wouldn't stop with the questions.
"…." Fushiguro's face slightly grimaced as he could see the logic behind Kenshin's reason.
'I can't tell if he's lying or not….' Fushiguro muttered under his breath.
'I guess I'll have to resort to that girl from the video. The one that ran away.'
"I see. Thank you for your time." Fushiguro gave him a nod of gratitude.
"Oh and by the way. I suggest hiding for a few weeks or months. That man from earlier is a big deal. Even if you learned how to fight on the internet, he's not someone you can just mess with." Before leaving, Fushiguro remembered something and gave a piece of advice, especially after recalling his encounter with him earlier.
"I'll keep that in mind, thank you." Kenshin smiled and replied.
Afterward, the both of them left the hotel and parted ways.

After getting back home and drinking lots of water due to dehydration, Kenshin went back to his room and threw his newly bought clothes into his closet after folding them using magic.
"Tomorrow will be big." He muttered to himself, starting to make the plans for tomorrow by scrolling through his phone for possible dating locations around Shinjuku.
He doesn't want the date to be too short or too long and become boring.
Just right.
"Let's see here. Restaurants. Definitely. Cinema? Maybe? I wonder if she likes The Ring movie. Aquarium? I heard girls like anything cute. Does that mean she likes me, after all, I'm cute, hehe~."
***
In the end, Kenshin came up with a plan of going to a restaurant first, then the cinema depending on if she wanted, and finally, a zoo.
Kenshin wanted an Aquarium at first but he realized most aquariums don't let their customers interact with the fish unlike in zoos.
At least in the zoo, they can play with small monkeys and such.
Just as Kenshin was busy scrolling, he heard his door squeak.
Without even looking at it, Kenshin already knew who it was.
"What are you doing here again, Tomoko?" Kenshin called her out with a sigh of defeat.
"Eh? How did you know it was me?"
"I can smell you from miles away!" Kenshin yelled banc while throwing a pillow.
"How can you smell your sister? C-Could it be that you-!?" Before Tomoko could finish whatever disgusting thing she was about to say, Kenshin interrupted her by grabbing her torso and throwing her out before closing the door.
Thud!
"W-Wait, I didn't even manage to say what I was supposed to tell you!" Tomoko crawled forward and kept banging on the door.
Bam!
Bam!
Inside the room, Kenshin pretended to not hear anything and focused on scrolling through his phone.
Bam!
Bam!
"Onii-chan let me in!"

While the main character is busy with his own matter, Alya, who has been unable to get any peaceful sleep, cannot help but keep staring at her phone all day.
The photo of the boy she saw that day was still fresh on her screen.
Why wouldn't she? When what she just witnessed that day changed her entire perspective on life.
Magic is real and she was lucky enough to encounter a good one.
However, there are times when she couldn't help but think to herself that maybe what she saw that day was nothing but a hallucination.
After all, she was already quite exhausted that day and there was a chance that she wa just seeing things.
Though her last encounter with the boy herself would always remove these doubts. His words of confirmation still resonated in her mind.
Magic is real.
And she just got herself a teacher for it. What else would you call that but luck?
She just got to Japan a few months ago and has enrolled in one of the most prestigious schools in Japan.
Kuoh Academy.
It was said that Japan's Prime Minister's daughter used to study there during its all-girls school phase.
It was just a few weeks ago that it decided to accept male students, which in return, exploded the academy with male enrollees.
Alya has sworn to herself that she will always do her best, even if her future classmates don't make any effort, she will.
Because that's how she is. That's what a true human being should do.
To give it their all.
And if you fail? At least you could comfortably say to yourself without any regrets that you did your best.
So, in her upcoming school life in Japan, she would give it her all, especially her indefinite magic studies. She can't wait to see that magician boy again.
Well, it's not like she wants to see him that badly. She just wants to learn magic from him, that's all!
'I can't wait...' She flipped around the bed and buried her face in her pillow, kicking her feet in the process.
Unbeknownst to her, she failed to see the slight gap in the door with a single brown eye staring through it.

The next day has come and it's time for his first ever day.
Since he scheduled the date for late in the morning, he still has some time to do his chores and morning routine which consists of 200 push-ups, 200 sit-ups, 200 pull-ups, and a 20-kilometer run. Doubling everything from before, which is just natural as his stats have increased.
He did the first three in his room and the last one outside.
Unlike yesterday, he didn't encounter anything, so he got home early.
[Strength +2]
[Agility +1]
[Durability +1]
[Constitution +1]
As usual, he got the benefits out of it, though not that much unlike the first one.
"Where are you going?" Seeing his complete attire that they had never seen before in their entire lives, his parents questioned him.
"I have a date!" Kenshin gave them a flash of his smile, not intending to hide anything from them, after all, there's nothing bad to tell it to them.
"Date!?" Unlike what he expected, it was his sister, who was quietly sitting behind the table while eating who reacted violently.
Speaking of his sister, this is her second-time streak of being out of her room and actually eating along with the family.
Ever since she got herself involved in those malicious media, she has always brought her food up to her room, not bothering to eat with her family.
"What's wrong?" Kenshin turned to her and raised a confused eyebrow.
"N-Nothing….Can I know her name?" Tomoko composed herself and calmly asked after clearing her throat.
"No," Kenshin answered curtly.
"Wait! Why?!" Tomoko dramatically cried out.
"Because who knows what you might do with that perverted mind of yours!" Kenshin yelled back in response before leaving the house.
Kenshin was right.
As Tomoko was just imagining herself as one of the evil antagonists in hentai mangas she read. Where she would cuff her brother's girlfriend and force her to watch her devour her brother.
Perverted indeed.
***
Kenshin and Sawako have decided to meet up at Kabukicho, one of Shinjuku's notable places around the city.
When Sawako got there, she realized that she was too early. When she looked at her watch, she saw that she was an entire hour early.
'I-It's okay. What's important is that I'm not late. Hah~ you can do this Sawako, he's just taking you out to eat. It's not like we're going on a date as boyfriend and girlfriend.' The more she thinks about it, the more grim her expression becomes.
While Sawako was deep in contemplation, she failed to see two thugs with a bunch of tattoos and wearing sleeveless shirts approach her from behind.
Clearly, their intention is nowhere near good.
"Oyah~ who dares to leave a beauty here alone? May this handsome stud know miss's na-?!" Before the man could finish his words, Sawako turned around.
With her gloomy aura, grim face, and horror-like appearance all combined, the two thugs froze. Their faces turned pale as if they had just seen their greatest nightmare.
"I'm sorry, can I help you?" Along with her monotone voice, the two thugs believed that the woman in front of them was a white lady.
"S-sorry!" Without hesitation, they bolted out, pulling each other away, trying to use each other as bait so the other could escape.
"Eh? What did I do?" Sawako, perplexed and startled, could only tilt her head in confusion.
