Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: “Fated Encounters Never Die”

🕰️

Days passed…

The bond between Saif and Layan grew slowly, yet steadily.

With each meeting, the distance between them shrank, and their conversations became deeper, warmer.

Layan would often ask to see him after school. They'd go to a quiet café, or walk along peaceful streets, talking about everything—except the past.

Saif would smile with her, finding a rare sense of ease.

But behind that smile, something heavy still lingered in his chest.

And each time… Rima watched from afar.

Standing behind the window, or passing by them in silence…

Her youthful eyes brimmed with jealousy, though her lips could never confess.

She was younger, less expressive—but her heart burned quietly with a fire that refused to die.

🎬 Short Scene:

Rima stood in the school courtyard, watching Saif walk beside Layan as they laughed together.

She clutched her notebook tightly,

and whispered to herself:

"If only he looked at me the way he looks at her…"

🌊 Main Scene: The Beach

Days later, Rima decided to go to the sea.

She needed to escape the jealousy, the inner storm—she just wanted a moment of peace, away from all the noise.

She reached the shore before sunset, sat on the sand, and tilted her face toward the sky, taking a deep breath.

Suddenly, she saw a shadow… a figure standing not far away, his back to her, wearing a black jacket.

She blinked in surprise and muttered:

"Saif?"

She stepped toward him carefully. She hadn't planned to speak—but her heart led her forward.

As she got closer, she saw him sitting on the rocks, staring at the waves.

She hesitated, then gently spoke:

"Hello, Saif…?"

He slowly turned to her, a calm surprise in his eyes.

"Rima? You're here?"

She gave a shy smile and said:

"I just needed to clear my mind… and when I saw you, I thought—maybe it would be nice to say hello. I mean… we are classmates, aren't we?"

He chuckled softly.

"Yeah… classmates."

She sat beside him, and then she noticed something…

Scars on his hands. Marks across his neck.

She stared quietly, then asked in a gentle tone:

"What happened to you… those scars?"

Silence followed. For a moment, it seemed like his whole body tensed.

But when he looked into her eyes, he saw no pity—only a warmth that felt safe.

🕳️ The Past (Full Backstory):

"I met a guy named Somin. He was two years older than me. We met in my old school, and I was lost back then… easy to influence."

"He took me to places I had never been—bars, clubs, dark corners of the world. At first, I thought I was becoming a man, becoming strong. But I was just a puppet in his hands."

"We started with theft… then smuggling… and eventually, murder.

One night, we killed a man who was threatening to expose us."

"I laughed… not out of joy—but fear. I felt like my heart had died that night."

"I ran from it all. Left school, the city, everything.

I came here just to start over…

But the past doesn't forget."

💔 Closing Scene:

Rima said nothing. She simply leaned in a little closer.

Then, in a soft voice, she whispered:

"You're not your past, Saif…

You're the man who's trying to change—and that's the most beautiful part of you."

Saif looked at her, and for the first time… he saw her differently.

She wasn't just a classmate—she was someone who saw beyond the wounds.
