Chapter 20 - Chapter 20:True Several Thousand Hands.

As the powerful ninjutsu, Deep Forest Emergence, was unleashed, a lush, verdant forest rapidly grew. This forest, like a masterpiece of nature, had dense trees and flourishing branches intertwined, forming a natural battleground.

Deep within this forest, Shin'ya's voice pierced through the layers of foliage, reaching Mihawk's keen ears at Baratie.

"Mihawk, the battleground is ready."

A hint of excitement colored Shin'ya's voice, clearly indicating his anticipation for a showdown with a powerful figure from the pirate world.

Hearing Shin'ya's words, Mihawk didn't hesitate. His body moved like lightning, covering ground in several large leaps, appearing before Hashirama like a phantom.

"What astonishing power," Mihawk murmured as he gazed at Hashirama, a flicker of admiration in his eyes. "Are you a user of the Mori Mori no Mi?"

Shin'ya smiled and shook his head.

"No, I don't know what specific fruit it is."

Of course, how could he know? He wasn't a Devil Fruit user at all.

"Alright, enough talk. Let's have a real battle!"

Shin'ya's voice brimmed with fighting spirit. Before he finished speaking, he clapped his hands together and softly chanted:

"Wood Release: Wood Dragon!"

Instantly, a massive wood dragon, a hundred meters long, soared from the forest. It roared and clawed through the air, pouncing fiercely toward Mihawk. Its body was composed of countless thick trees, each scale shimmering with vibrant green light, as if alive.

Mihawk's eyes gleamed with excitement. He had never imagined that, simply venturing to East Blue out of boredom, he would encounter such a powerful opponent. But, to his regret, the person before him was not a pure swordsman.

Without hesitation, Mihawk swiftly drew his renowned black blade, Yoru, from his back. In an instant, a green-tinged black sword slash shot out like lightning, heading straight for the wood dragon with immense force.

The moment the slash was unleashed, Mihawk's figure vanished like a phantom and appeared right before Hashirama. He swung his black blade with thunderous force, aiming directly at Shin'ya's neck.

Facing the sudden attack, Shin'ya remained remarkably calm. With a slight movement of his right hand, a surge of chakra gathered instantly, forming a sharp chakra blade. It collided with Mihawk's Yoru, producing a crisp clang.

Mihawk eyed the chakra blade in Shin'ya's hand and said regretfully:

"What a pity… you're not a pure swordsman."

Before finishing his sentence, he leapt backward, breaking away from the clash.

But as he retreated, several small sword slashes rained down toward Shin'ya from various angles. Though smaller in scale, they were incredibly fast and caught even the sharpest senses off guard.

Seeing this, Shin'ya stomped on the ground with force. With a loud bang, a powerful surge of chakra erupted beneath his feet, forming a solid barrier that blocked all incoming attacks.

Without hesitation, Shin'ya activated the Bringer-of-Darkness Technique. But, as expected, the illusion had little effect on Mihawk, who possessed Observation Haki. During close-quarters combat, Mihawk could still sense Shin'ya's movements precisely, reacting instantly to block or evade.

Seeing the illusion was ineffective, Shin'ya dispelled it.

"I'm going to get serious now," he said.

Mihawk nodded.

"Alright."

Shin'ya clapped his hands.

"Wood Release: Wood Golem Technique!"

A powerful surge of chakra burst forth beneath him. In the next moment, a colossal wooden golem, 300 meters tall, rose from the forest floor like a towering mountain.

Not only was it massive, but the golem wielded an equally gigantic wooden staff—300 meters tall and 30 meters wide. As it swung the staff, gusts of wind howled through the air, as if tearing the very atmosphere.

Seeing this, Mihawk's eyes widened and sweat beaded on his forehead.

"Holy crap… how am I supposed to fight that?" he muttered.

He knew very well that his attacks might barely scratch such a behemoth. The wood generated by Shin'ya's technique was incredibly dense—he could cut through it, but it had taken effort.

And now, a golem of that size, capable of regenerating damaged parts, stood before him.

Shin'ya grinned, controlling the golem to swing its massive staff. Despite its bulk, the golem's speed was astonishing, its movements sharp and relentless.

Mihawk hardened his entire body with Armament Haki, teeth gritted.

"Damn it, this is a trap. If I get hit, that's going to hurt like hell."

He narrowly dodged the rapid strikes, biding his time and charging energy. When he saw his opening, Mihawk released a massive, cross-shaped slash. The blow sent wood splinters flying, but the golem stood unharmed.

"Hurricane Slash!"

Mihawk unleashed a tornado-like wave of sword energy, halting the golem momentarily as he leapt back again.

The moment he landed, Mihawk let out a deep breath and raised his sword. His blade gleamed as an overwhelming aura gathered around it, growing more intense by the second.

And then—

"Deadly Blade Flash!"

Mihawk swung his sword, releasing a green-black slash a thousand meters long, aiming directly at Shin'ya atop the wooden golem.

Shin'ya's instincts screamed at him—he couldn't take this head-on.

"The attack range is too wide… dodging is impossible. I'll have to defend."

He placed a hand on the golem's head.

"Summoning Technique: Five-Layer Rashomon!"

Five massive iron gates emerged in front of the golem to block the slash.

But it was no use. The moment the attack touched the gates, they were cut in half like paper.

As the devastating slash bore down on him, Shin'ya prepared his ultimate technique.

Clasping his hands together, black markings spread across his face, and his entire aura transformed. With a low roar:

"Sage Art: Wood Release — True Several Thousand Hands!"

The wooden golem beneath him rapidly transformed. In an instant, a thousand-meter-tall wooden Buddha, with thousands of arms fanning out behind it, stood upon the battlefield.

Mihawk stared at the towering figure—then decisively turned and left the battleground. With a few quick leaps, he returned to Baratie.

Shin'ya sighed.

"Seriously? I just unleashed my ultimate technique… you're just going to walk away? Come on.

Forget it. Since it's already out, might as well use it—even if I destroy the whole forest."

With that, Shin'ya shouted:

"Summits of the Sage: True Several Thousand Hands!"

All of the Buddha's arms simultaneously attacked the Deep Forest Emergence below. The ground trembled beneath the flurry of strikes.

Back at Baratie, the onlookers gasped in awe—especially when the thousand-meter-tall Buddha appeared.

Just as it manifested, Mihawk jumped back onto the ship with a frustrated look. Before anyone could speak, Sanji yelled:

"Holy crap! That big Buddha's moving!"

The crowd turned away from Mihawk and stared toward Shin'ya's battlefield. They watched in shock as the thousands of arms rained down destruction. Within seconds, the entire forest had been obliterated—reduced to nothing.

The remaining arms turned and struck the ocean. Moments later, a massive tsunami surged toward Baratie.

"What do we do?! That tsunami's going to swallow us whole!" someone screamed.

Just as panic set in, Shin'ya suddenly appeared on the Baratie's deck. Without a word, he raised his right hand, condensing a thousand-meter-long chakra blade. He slashed at the incoming tsunami, pouring chakra into the strike.

As the massive blade descended, it cleaved the tsunami in two.

The giant wave split apart, no longer threatening Baratie.

Everyone stared in stunned silence—then let out a collective sigh of relief.
