Chapter 32 - Chapter 32 Emily?Lacus?Selvia Luminia!

Emily Boone's head was throbbing.

After being transported to this world, she immediately gained access to a vast amount of memory fragments belonging to Bishop Lacus, along with control over her body.

Like Edrick, she did not directly merge with those memories but instead gained the ability to access them. Once merged, it would be difficult to say whether she had become Lacus or Lacus had become her.

Even without merging, the vast amount of memories and knowledge was overwhelming for Emily, far surpassing Edrick's memories by an unimaginable margin.

At the moment of her arrival, Emily automatically took over Lacus's current memories. These memories were brief and wouldn't affect her personality, yet they helped her quickly grasp the current situation.

A sealed wraith and a thief who had accidentally wandered in. Although the thief had ultimately escaped, it couldn't be helped. Her head hurt so much, it felt like someone was performing brain surgery on her without anesthesia.

The wraith also noticed that the damn priestess was not right. This cunning old guy immediately decided to take advantage of this opportunity to finish her off. As long as he could kill Lacus before the supporting priests arrived, he still had a chance to escape the seal.

The black mist of the wraiths condensed into twelve bone butterflies at their fingertips, each wing embedded with the reflection of the fragments of the holy image. The putrid airflow caused by their flapping wings burned scorch marks on the dome's mucous membrane.

Emily instinctively dropped to one knee, the tip of her holy staff piercing the inverted triangular emblem on the ground. The resonance array beneath the floor tiles activated, propelling the bone butterflies toward the inverted stalactites. The sound of flesh and mucus being corroded mingled with the crackling of shattered bone porcelain.

The mechanical axle emitted a high-pitched screech as the gears rubbed against each other, and the charred arms split into three snake-like bone chains, with the inverted holy symbols on the links flickering in the black mist.

Emily turned her hand to grasp the hollow of the petrified icon, and the ghostly fire in her palm fluttered violently. The holy crystal at the tip of the short staff burst into a dazzling purple light as she tried to extract the power of the wraiths lurking in the cave.

In Lacus' memory, this did not directly convert the power into her own, but it allowed her to temporarily borrow the power of the wraiths and use their own weapons against them!

Strangely, this technique did not seem to come from the Holy See.

The battle was in full swing, and Emily had no time to think too much. The bone chains twisted and disintegrated in the purple light, and the wraiths suddenly spewed out a crimson mist, like boiling iron water washing over the holy shield. The holy mark tattoo on her shoulder armor was burned black and cracked.

"Damn... It's not over yet..." Emily gritted her teeth as she fought the crazed wraiths. The intense pain tormented her spirit, and the wraiths' violent attacks tried to tear her flesh apart.

Just when Emily felt like she couldn't hold on any longer, she suddenly felt a sense of relief, and then she noticed that her field of vision had changed. Something like a game UI appeared in her original field of vision.

She could see her status bar, the outlines and health of her enemies, and even their weaknesses!

What excited her most was that she could see her skill bar!

This UI was exactly the same as the one in Luminism Online, which she was good at! As soon as Emily had this thought, her consciousness automatically mobilized some of Lacus' memories and cross-referenced them with the worldview of Luminism Online, discovering that the two worldviews were the same!

Great! Emily's biggest headache was that although she could fight with Lacus' instincts and retrieve those memory fragments, she could only passively face her enemies. She hadn't completely integrated the memory fragments, so she only had a superficial understanding of the skills she had mastered.

As the most revered priestess in Stellaxis, Lacus also possessed a vast amount of Ethercraft. Even if Emily had permission to view her memories, she wouldn't have known what to look for.

Now, ui has helped her put the commonly used combat skills in the skill bar, so she only needs to check the skill effects in the skill bar.

"It's time to fight back. Are you ready, you mechanical bastard!" Emily remembered that she had defeated a similar boss in Luminism Online.

"Spiritus Sancte, catenae tuae peccatores ligent, ne ultra noceant."

The battle behind the bronze door came to an end ten minutes later.

Although the wraith with the body of a mechanical demon was extremely powerful after breaking half of the seal, it was no match for her, the (disguised) bishop of Stellaxis, and dozens of high-ranking priests.

In particular, after Emily mastered how to use this body, she was even stronger than the original Lacus when facing the wraith. The original bishop did not have the ability to identify the enemy's weaknesses, nor had she ever defeated a dungeon boss.

Because the seal behind the bronze door was very important, even in such a critical situation, only a few dozen high priests were allowed to enter. After completely sealing the wraith, Vicar Sophia came to Emily's side.

"What the hell is going on!? What did you do, you idiot!?" Vicar Sophia demanded in a tone meant to reprimand a subordinate.

Emily's brain automatically retrieved relevant memories upon seeing Vicar Sophia, recognizing her as her deputy and one of the only two people in the entire church who knew her true identity. How dare this woman, as the second-in-command, speak to her, the leader, in such a tone? It was an act of treason!

"Watch your tone, Vicar!" She had naturally mastered the universal language of this world after her reincarnation, but after scolding Vicar Sophia, the latter stared at her in shock.

"You're on drugs!?" Vicar Sophia, had she not noticed the others present, would have immediately moved to teach this insolent fool a lesson.

Emily also discovered the problem through this nonsensical conversation. She looked at the memory fragments again and realized that she seemed to have overlooked some information... The only person who knows her true identity, hmm? True identity? What true identity? The identity of a transmigrator?

Emily, who was lamenting the fact that she had traveled to a very excellent body, was a little stunned. According to the memories of this body, her name was Sancta Lucina Lacus, and she was the bishop of the Stellaxis diocese, the highest authority here... But all of this was just an appearance. Deeper memories revealed that she had a secret: the real Bishop Lacus had been imprisoned, and the real name of this body was Selvia Luminia.

Luminia was a typical surname given to orphans adopted by the Holy See. She was nothing more than a killer trained by the church, a Pathseeker close to level 5, but she had no real power. The real boss was Vicar Sophia.

This was an extremely complex plan. Under the instructions of the Church hierarchy, they had imprisoned the real Bishop Lacus and were issuing orders in her name. After all, a diocesan bishop daring to oppose the Church hierarchy and even support a foreign religious order for the sake of the royal family was an unthinkable disgrace.

"This is bad!" Recalling the direction the thief had taken, Emily rushed toward the deeper dungeons below ground.

According to what she had heard, there were mental attack spells there that even ordinary Pathseekers couldn't break through, but for some reason, Emily had a bad feeling at this moment.

"Nothing can happen! God help me!" Emily panicked.

Vicar Sophia saw Emily running toward the dungeon and her face turned ugly. She had a bad feeling: "You guys stay here and clean up. Notify the Sacred City to bring another new wraith."

After giving her instructions, Vicar Sophia also ran toward the dungeon.

Standing in the empty dungeon, Emily felt like she was about to break down.

Her real life was a mess, and she had finally managed to turn things around a little with Luminism Online, only to die in a car accident.

Upon arriving in this alternate world, she discovered not only that she had a system but also that she held a high-ranking position with immense power. According to this world's ranking system, she was at the peak of LV.4, very close to the LV.5 tier of elite warriors—a dream start that promised either a life of luxury or great achievements.

But then, her deeper memories told her that this identity was fake. She was just a replacement for Bishop Lacus, an emotionless orphan trained by the church named Selvia Luminia? Even worse, Bishop Lacus, who should have been imprisoned in the dungeon, had escaped?

Where could she go? In Selvia Luminia's memories, this place was a dead end. There were so many people imprisoned here... Emily desperately searched through the fragments of her memories and then saw something even more despairing.

"Selvia Luminia! I need an explanation!" Vicar Sophia saw the empty cells on either side and her face turned ashen.

As the most powerful Vicar in history, even the bishop was under her control, and she was on the verge of a promotion and a raise. Just when she was riding high, something like this happened.

Now was a critical moment in the confrontation between the Holy See and the royal family. The imprisoned bishop had escaped, and if the scandal of internal strife within the church and the imprisonment of a bishop broke out, it would be a fatal blow to the reputation of the Holy See in Stellaxis.

Her subordinate, the assassin trained by the Church, was in a highly unusual state. Selvia Luminia actually looked more distraught than Vicar Sophia. This was odd—wasn't she supposed to be an emotionless killing machine?

Selvia Luminia, or rather Emily, was naturally more distraught than Vicar Sophia, who was merely worried about her career. At worst, Sophia would lose her title, but Selvia Luminia's life was in jeopardy.

Because in addition to Selvia Luminia's second identity, Emily desperately discovered that this woman actually had a third hidden identity. She was definitely an undercover agent sent to the Holy See by a cult organization called the Cult of Entropic Lies!

"This isn't time travel, it's Russian nesting dolls!" Emily cried in her heart.

This was why Selvia Luminia had been secretly absorbing the energy of the wraiths under the identity of Bishop Lacus, because the Cult of Entropic Lies had other plans.
