Chapter 64 - Chapter 69 – Dreams of the True King

🌒 The Dark Continent Appears

After months of turbulence—both political and supernatural—the Black Whale finally arrived. But the Dark Continent didn't welcome them.

It loomed—massive, silent, impossibly still.

From the highest deck, Kaen stood under a sky of two suns—one real, one formed from his Dreamfire aura, which now permanently hovered above the ship.

Kurapika, bruised but alive, approached him.

"This world… it's beyond anything even V5 feared."

"It's not just a continent," Kaen replied.

"It's a memory. A forgotten truth. And I've seen it in my dreams."

Behind them, the last living princes bowed their heads. Not by surrender—but by acknowledgment.

The Succession War was over. Not by victory… but because the very throne had changed.

"There is no Nasubi anymore," Camilla had whispered earlier, before vanishing into the Mind Palace as its First Warden.

"There is only the Crown."

📖 Gon's Revelation

Meanwhile, far below the deck, Gon stood in front of an ancient terminal—half-machine, half-living artifact that pulsed with Nen-sensitive runes.

Beside him was Killua, and between them hovered an image—a prophecy unearthed from fanmtl.com's ancient archive and translated by Kaen's subconscious:

"When the 13th awakens, the beasts shall bow, the chains shall break, and kings shall weep.

But the 14th shall not be born of blood. It shall be born of decision."

Killua clicked his tongue.

"A 14th? But there were only 13 thrones."

Gon narrowed his eyes.

"Unless Kaen isn't the final king. Unless… he's just the last one who chooses."

🧠 Inside the Mind Palace

The inner sanctum had evolved.

No longer a castle—it had become a cosmic construct, suspended in dreamspace, with thrones that hummed with living personalities. Kaen walked between them, followed by Naomi and Spool—no longer prisoners, but stewards.

Kaen stopped before a newly appearing gate: a 14th seat, surrounded by infinite mirrors.

Naomi asked, "What is that?"

Kaen whispered, "The World Seat."

"Who sits there?"

Kaen closed his eyes.

"Whoever shapes the world that comes after me."

And in that moment, he realized: his reign was not about ruling. It was about awakening others.

To see dreams. To forge them. To fight for them.

🐍 Pariston's Last Gambit

Above the Dreamfire sun, Pariston stood calmly atop an airship built from psychic threads—riding the back of a Constructed Chimera Ant, born from the last memories of Meruem himself.

"Let's see if you're still human, Kaen."

He activated his final ability:

Laughtrack – The Comedy of Gods

Every tragic fate previously avoided now played again—on loop—until its core memory burned into every nearby Nen user.

Hundreds of Hunters fell to their knees, laughing, screaming, crying.

Kaen stepped into the air and summoned the Echo Crown.

Its beams struck the laughing masses—and turned pain into music.

Laughter into resolve.

Tragedy into fire.

Pariston screamed—his body ungluing into narrative threads.

"You turned my horror… into art?!"

Kaen smiled.

"You forgot the rule."

"What rule?!"

"A King doesn't fear endings. He chooses the right one."

He reached out—and rewrote Pariston's Nen in real time.

New Rule: "You shall wander the dreams of kings forever, always the second laugh—but never the punchline."

And Pariston vanished into Kaen's infinite dream-halls, lost among the jokes he once weaponized.

👑 A Choice of Dreams

Back in the Mind Palace, Kaen faced his advisors.

Spool: "The world is ready to be rewritten. All laws bend to you now."

Naomi: "So what will you do? Rule forever?"

Kaen stepped forward and placed the Echo Crown onto the World Seat.

"No."

"Then what?"

"I'll wake up."

The world shuddered.

Every throne faded.

The palace dimmed.

But in their place, a seed appeared—spinning, golden, pulsing with shared Nen. A contract. A possibility.

"Let someone else dream next."
