The universe-breaking revelations were slowly breaking the poor Angels. Now it was Alexander's so-called parents who suddenly showed up, and their news was anything but pleasant…the result is an explanation that almost melts the brains of most Angels. Until the high word finally comes out as to why they made themselves known uninvited in a universe that was clearly not ready for the knowledge that they existed....
The members at the table of Alex's universe watched wide-eyed. Michael and Lucifer had jumped right up, ready to defend Alexander and Samantha.
"Dad, Michael it's okay. There is no danger they are friends, or should I say family."
The light slowly disappeared leaving behind a man and a woman. She the epitome of elegance, a Southern complexion and dressed in a sky blue robe. He was tall, broad, with a gray stubble and what could be a dark blue djellaba. Both Samantha and Alexander had already risen to greet the new arrivals. A somewhat bear hug between Alex and the man betrayed that there was much affection between the two. The woman he also hugged but this time there were loving kisses involved. Samantha was just about buried in affection by the two.
They ushered the two newcomers toward the table and Alexander said visibly proudly:
"Ladies and gentlemen may I introduce you to my Mom and Dad, well technically stepdad but I hate that term. It creates a distance between us that I absolutely cannot bear."
Everyone at the table was just about in shock. The universe-breaking revelations kept coming one after another. No one got a word out until Lucifer asked totally confused:
"I'm sorry but I don't understand. These are more than obviously Gods and I have never been with a Goddess, euch, you know. Your mother was Elise. Then how can she be your mother?"
"First let us clear some space so they can sit yes."
Quickly space was cleared, and everyone was back in their seats but not before Samantha's parents and Samael were greeted in an equally friendly manner by the newcomers.
"Folks these are Aisha my mother and Franklin my father. I would never have gotten through the last six thousand years without their help, the company of Celine, and the thought of Samantha. I wouldn't have made it through a decade let alone gotten to this point."
They nodded politely for a moment to Alexander's people at the table.
"These are the Goddess and the God of all creation in this multiverse."
"The Angels around the table just about all wanted to object at the same time.
Alexander raised his hand:
"Still amazed that your parents lied to you. They did not create this universe and by no means everything in it, so they are not the Gods of all creation. They simply appropriated that title to themselves."
The Angels sat looking at him in amazement and incomprehension. Lucifer said:
"How can that be? I created and hung the stars."
"Correction Dad, you created most of the stars not all of them."
"But I'm sure I did. Michael was there because he took care of the black holes. Light and darkness, matter and anti-matter."
Alexander sighed deeply:
"And that is why my parents had not yet made their existence known in this universe. You were not ready. Again, your parents' fault. They didn't let you evolve. And your next question now is going to be how to know what is real and what is not. Which stars you have put up and which have you not put up? However, you know that answer deep down inside Dad. There are stars that you naturally kind of hate and there are ones that you naturally love. Look at a star, focus on the core of that star and you will see if it is one of yours or not. If not then you will feel in that star a miniscule particle of your parents and therefore you naturally find those stars anything but attractive. The same applies to Michael. If he concentrates then he is going to know which black holes and anti-matter are his and which are not. And then there is the third kind. The beginning of this universe, that which was instated after the Big Bang and you will feel that your essence is missing but also that of your parents. The essence hidden in there is that of my parents Aisha and Franklin."
He let this sink in for a minute or so before speaking further:
"Look, I'm going to keep it simple and hopefully short. Aisha and Franklin are the creators of this universe in the multiverse. The basic layout of all universes is more or less the same everywhere. Each universe was given a God and a Goddess. Your parents here, Samantha's parents in their universe. Unfortunately for you, everything here proceeded as it does in nature everywhere, especially with beings who are sentient. With humans but also with Angels, Demons, and Gods, evolution can produce opposites. Black and white, water and fire, light and dark. Sam's parents could be said to be white. Well, no, they're absolutely white! Your parents, on the other hand, have gradually become darker and darker in character, until they turned black. Had they been humans their souls would have been so black that they would have landed in the deepest regions of Hell. Everyone with me so far?"
When everyone nodded, he lit a cigarette and continued:
"Your parents created you and you came into existence as you are now, adults. Why? No idea really. Maybe they didn't have the desire, patience, or simply no empathy to raise Angels from infancy. In Samantha's universe that does happen which is why Lady Salome and Lord Robert can literally be called the mother and father of all Angels because they truly earned that honorary title. Their Angels came into existence as babies and were lovingly raised by them allowing them to fully evolve just as human babies do. As I said before Samantha is the only exception to that, she was born completely natural, a one-of-a-kind. And nobody can explain why. Hence her parents, with the full approval of all the other Angels, made her the Crown Princess. But after Samantha, they decided not to create any more Angels. After Sam, they only wanted to become grandparents. A wish that has made them absolutely crazy since I told them what I was planning. And as you have just seen with the kids. If you ask me, they are totally insane."
Something that made Salome and Robert smile broadly. Alex continued:
"But creating Angels in an adult form like your parents? That was their first mayor fuck-up, in a long list of fuck-ups. As a result, you now lack a childhood and youth. As a result, you may have evolved in your thinking and acting as adults, but you are only 90% evolved and even then, according to your specialty. You have not gone through the learning process of a child. The remaining 10% hangs together in bits and pieces. Because of this, you have problems understanding Humanity. To understand your brothers and sisters of a different specialty. Which is certainly the case with opposites."
He pointed to Michael and then to Nariel and Ariel:
"Power and destruction versus softness and creation. I bet Michael doesn't quite understand why there should be softness and creation. And I bet Nariel and Ariel don't quite understand that force and destruction belong to existence or should even exist."
Slowly the three nodded:
"The understanding of opposites and that they exist at all is something that every child gets in a balanced upbringing. What that child does with that later in life is entirely that child's choice, free will. Some embrace the opposites; some care very little and still others stay on their own pole and ignore the other or worse. And for that, I point again to Michael, Nariel and Ariel. They may not fully understand why the other must exist but that does not take away from the fact that they can respect each other and lovingly treat each other as brother and sister."
Most members of the council sat slowly nodding.
"Your parents created you in an adult form. Since you were created as they wished, it was a piece of cake to give you memories as well. You remember that your parents created everything in this universe, so you never questioned that memory. So, Lucifer remembers that before he created his stars this universe was completely dark. Only much, much later did some Angels, those of science, for example, begin to question this when they stumbled upon the existence of the Big Bang. That concept completely contradicts Godfry's story that he would have created everything by giving his Angels gifts that allowed them to conduct his creation. I do not know Godfry's exact explanation, but it would not surprise me should he have said that he had snapped his fingers and quackbang there is the Big bang. However, I am sure he forbade further investigation into it."
Laila suddenly found herself nodding vigorously because she recognized what Alex was saying.
"They will have done that so that you would not ask any annoying questions. And because you were created in the image they had, you all walked neatly in line. At least in the beginning. Only much later did some of you begin to ask very annoying questions and exhibit behavior that was inappropriate for them. With Lucifer and Azrael as the absolute outliers. In Lady Salome's universe, the Angels also stumbled upon the existence of the Big Bang but instead of prohibiting further investigation, they were encouraged and found out that there had to exist much more than their own universe. That's why Mom and Dad made themselves known in their universe because they were clearly ready. However, what your parents did not consider was natural evolution because they thought they had everything under control and could keep it under control. In Hell, it works exactly the same way because the original Demons were also created by them. Some Demons remain in their role generation after generation. Those Demons remain extremely violent, sadistic, selfish, intellectually far below par, endless armed conflict among themselves, savages destined to torture human souls forever. Orcs like I refer to them. Some of the upper circles and certainly those from Dis evolve resulting in Celine, Bearus, Belios, Anthony, and certainly not forgetting little Anna and Maila who are the most gentle and loving beings I have ever encountered. The ultimate proof that nothing within what you create is static but subject to slow change, evolution."
There was utter silence at the table, but Alexander's explanation was not yet at its end:
"However, the answer was right under your nose. If you had been children, you would have found it long ago. Godfry created man after the image of the Angels he had created with the Goddess. With each race neatly in their corner of the planet after he had scattered them from the Garden of Eden across the planet. That way he could track exactly how each race would evolve. That is why he called humanity his experiment. It was not Lucifer who killed his experiment. His experiment flew off the rails due to evolution and curiosity. His experiment was killed even before it started without him even realizing it. Had they not created you Angels as adults but as babies like Lady Salome and Lord Robert did, they would have known that their experiment was useless. Just run after a baby or a young child for a while and you will see what I mean, just keep an eye on Elise for a while. Babies have to put everything in their mouths, for young children everything has to be touched a never-ending urge to discover. This is nothing different with Humanity as a whole. Humanity has always asked itself questions; What lies beyond that hill, what lies beyond the horizon, what is on the other side of the water? So, when the different races came into contact with each other, and often not gently, he considered his project a failure because the races seemingly refused to stay in their corners. This started already in the Garden, but he wrote it off as too many people and thus races too close together. When Lucifer started his rebellion and could very often be found in the Garden, Godfry soon found his scapegoat. He therefore focused his hatred entirely on Lucifer instead of admitting that he had made a tremendous mistake. However, you do not have to look that far to find your answer. A child like Beatrice has long found that answer even though she is only eleven years old. Hell, even Elise proved the beginning of that yesterday in the suite and she's three."
A lot of looks went from surprise to fascination to incomprehension:
"Most children on Earth ask themselves the following line of questions. If I exist through my parents by whom do my parents exist and by whom do my parents' parents exist? If you could have asked that one question you would have found out billions of years ago that your parents are not the Gods of all creation. That your family tree does not begin with your parents. That they had to come from somewhere."
The Angels sat silently contemplating this, but Ella was wiggling in her chair. Samantha said with a broad smile:
"And to prove Alex's point. Ella you have been a full member of this counsel since yesterday so you may always speak freely and at all times."
Ella leaned forward:
"The Gods are the parents of the Angels. Aisha and Franklin are the parents of the Gods. Who then are the parents of Aisha and Franklin?"
Aisha laughed and replied:
"Thank you, Ella. We are the Gods who created everything in this multiverse. Although we created the Gods we do not act like we are their parents and therefore the grandparents of the Angels. We consider ourselves more close friends. In the case of Salome and Robert maybe even more as siblings. We figured out pretty quickly that there must be not one but many multiverses and thus a multitude like us. Logical conclusion, there must also be a pair of Gods who created the omniverse as we have come to call it. Compare it to an onion. This universe to you is the core, the next layer is the multiverse, the next layer is the omniverse, and so on. Unfortunately, that too is the point where we get stuck because those who created the omniverse never made themselves known to us. Why? No idea."
Meanwhile, the Angels were dizzy. Their entire existence, their complete thinking had been turned upside down. Unfortunately, it was only going to get worse in the next few minutes.
Alexander let the poor Angels recover for a moment but kept a close eye on Aisha and Franklin. Knew something big was about to follow. So, after a few minutes, he said:
"Okay Mom, Dad spill it. Something is going on otherwise you would never have revealed your existence uninvited without Sam or I asking you to appear, so..."
The two looked at each other for a moment after which Franklin said:
"Son, there is no easy way to say this. This universe is imploding. Everything and everyone is going to be destroyed."
" NO!"
The cry of a child's voice echoed loudly from near the door to Alexander's office. Beatrice had apparently not given up on her by Mazikeen learned behavior, and she had been eavesdropping.
