Everyone in the group understood immediately after reading Byakuyasha's explanation.
Izayoi Sakamaki:
[There's still a big difference between fusion magic and energy fusion.]
[The energy released by these species feels like it was originally a single entity.]
[So when they attack, it naturally fuses together, right?]
[Different individuals produce the same attack, and it fuses easily.]
[Tsk, this is really interesting.]
Zhongli:
[Indeed, quite fascinating.]
[Could that energy possess its own will, similar to Takumi's Honkai energy?]
Even Zhongli found himself intrigued. That could explain why it fused so seamlessly.
Everyone in the group began discussing fervently.
At that moment, Takumi opened a livestream.
Takumi:
[Quick! Look what I found!]
He turned the group chat's camera toward a pale yellow planet before him. It was a gas giant, shrouded in terrifying energy. The gases covering the planet were the same ones the aliens had used.
This was one of the aliens' strongholds. Not their home planet, but where they grew stronger.
Everyone in the group, puzzled by Takumi's message, quickly joined the livestream. Seeing the planet shocked them.
Byakuyasha's eyes sparkled.
Byakuyasha:
[Can we absorb energy from this planet?]
[No wonder their energy fused so easily—it all came from the same planet.]
All doubts were instantly cleared.
These aliens had likely all trained here.
Takumi:
[That seems to be the case.]
[@Boros, want to come over and try absorbing some?]
[Your species should be able to absorb this energy, right?]
[What's most interesting is that this planet's energy seems limitless.]
[Those aliens carried a lot of energy, yet this planet remains full of it.]
Takumi stared at the planet and began to question: could its energy be infinite?
Otherwise, with how strong those aliens were, it should've been drained dry long ago.
Boros:
[No!]
[I can feel that my body strongly rejects that energy, so I'll pass.]
Boros was watching the stream too, but he looked very uneasy. His instincts screamed that the planet was poisonous—especially for his kind. It could kill him.
Takumi was surprised. So Boros couldn't absorb it?
Takumi stared at the planet longer, analyzed the situation, and then gave up the idea. His body could absorb anything without consequence, but that might not apply to others.
They'd have to investigate further.
Let others study it first—see if it was truly toxic.
With that, Takumi got to work. After completing his mission and acquiring a World Gate, he planned to transfer the entire planet to his own world for research.
He wiped out all aliens cultivating on the planet, then sealed the entire thing into his Imaginary Space.
He'd study it later.
There was definitely something strange about this world—the abundant energy was absurd.
After sealing the planet, Takumi went to the aliens' home world and wiped them out for good.
Finally, the system marked the mission as complete.
He earned 495,000 points. Boros got 5,000—fine by him.
Takumi checked his total: 640,000 points now.
Though still short of the amount needed for his next upgrade, another mission like this would get him there.
First upgrade: 1,000 points.
Second: 10,000.
Third: 100,000.
Fourth: 1,000,000.
Takumi had already upgraded three times. The fourth would cost a million.
Now he had 640,000. Almost there.
He probably wouldn't bother with a fifth upgrade—it'd cost way too much. Missions weren't that frequent, and who knew how long saving up would take?
After finishing the mission, Takumi returned to Earth. He had hotpot with Boros and Saitama, then went back to his own world.
He placed the World Gate in Z-City—Saitama's city. Since few people lived there, it was perfect.
Back in his world, Takumi built a city specifically to connect to Z-City. He even dispatched a good number of machine species (Mechai units).
"From now on, you'll be stationed here." "If any evildoers come from the other side, you have full authorization to eliminate them." "Just take them out."
The One Punch Man world was far from peaceful, so Takumi had to lay down the rules.
Who knew how many villains would come causing trouble?
The Mechai units quickly recorded the command.
"Understood."
Their leader looked at the gate, then uploaded all data to the Mechai internal network. That way, all other units would be aware as well.
Once all was set, Takumi pinged Boros.
Takumi:
[@Boros, the World Gate's ready. Come over whenever.]
[Bring Saitama too.]
Boros:
[OK!]
[I'm moving into your world.]
He'd been wanting this for a while. Takumi's world had way more strong people now. In Saitama's world, no one could match him—not even Saitama.
Though Saitama kept getting stronger every day, it was nothing compared to Takumi's cheat-like progression.
Now with the connection open, Boros could finally go challenge stronger foes.
Bliss.
Saitama would probably get stronger in Takumi's world too—Boros was looking forward to it.
After chatting with Boros for a bit, Takumi logged off.
He still had a planet to deal with.
Might as well hand it over to Herta and her group for research.
Who knows? Maybe they could discover something useful.
With so many members of the Genius Society around, it'd be a waste not to make use of them.
Since you're all here—go ahead and research more stuff!
