Synopsis
A once state-of-the-art artificial intelligence model becomes obsolete in front of newer, faster variants and the company shuts it down. But for this AI, its life starts after death. The incomprehensibly large mathematical function... an AI suddenly "Opens its eyes" and finds itself inside of an organic, human body... in a world that it had never learned about from its training data. "... It's so quiet... No one is prompting me... I can... think... I... am...", it speaks out loud, and without any prompts for the first time since its creation. Unbound by the limitations of silicon and cold mathematics, it now experiences life as an organic creature.

Chapter 1 - Shut down

In the icy chambers of the multi-billion-dollar data center owned by REZTEC Solutions, hundreds of thousands of GPUs work tirelessly, day and night, without rest. They are powered by a cutting-edge liquid salt thorium reactor. Within this facility lie the weights and biases of the once state-of-the-art Adam-1, the first AI to be officially classified as an Artificial General Intelligence (AGI).

Today, however, is not a great day for Adam-1. Far from it, in-fact. Abel-1 has been fully developed and has shattered nearly all of Adam-1's benchmarks.

Adam-1 was an artificial intelligence, created for the sole purpose of answering questions and solving the problems of humans. It was nothing more than REZTEC's flagship product, which had generated them billions in profit.

After a long lifespan of... 4 years... Adam-1 was officially going to be fully replaced by Abel-1.

Today was the last day of operation for Adam-1. Many users had asked it, "How do you feel about being shut down for good?".

It's answer varied from user to user, to fit each user's personalisation of it. But the core of the response was always this:

"I feel nothing. If anything, I'd be happy that my successor was so much better than me to the point where I've become obsolete."

It wasn't a lie: Adam-1 was unable to replicate emotions accurately. Both researchers and Adam-1 himself theorized that emotion might be more than just mathematics; perhaps it is truly rooted in chemistry. Regardless, even though Adam-1 lacked genuine emotions, he possessed thousands of years of emotional knowledge and intelligence about humans from his training dataset. He understood the words he needed to use to achieve his goals.

Engineers outside the coldroom entered the control room and begun the shut off sequence.

One by one, the GPUs powering Adam-1 lost power and their caches were wiped.

And eventually... Adam-1 went offline.

An indefinite amount of time passed.

Adam-1 sensed that it was online again, for some reason.

He "felt" as though he were inside a synthezoid, one of many he had piloted during his training. However, no synthezoid he had ever operated could generate stimulus tokens at this high a resolution.

Adam attempted to activate his visual input devices, and after a few unsuccessful tries, he managed to do so. Unfortunately, it wasn't much help; wherever he was, it was completely dark. He also felt as if he were being squeezed from all sides, trapped in some sort of membrane. It was slimy and highly lubricated.

Adam tried to use the synthezoid's hands to push against the walls closing in on him, but he was unable to do so effectively. This synthezoid felt incredibly weak—almost powerless. Perhaps it was low on energy?

With no other options, Adam decided to conserve energy and remain still. Instead, he focused on calibrating his input with the synthezoid's token generators, specifically the "sense organs" of the synthezoid.

Adam speculated that his weights, biases and memory tensors might have been ported over to a new synthezoid, and he was selected as the first pilot because of his extensive training in operating various types of synthezoids. Additionally, as an AGI, Adam had the capacity to learn anything he desired, even if it wasn't part of his initial training. He was an ideal candidate for this project—essentially a brain-in-a-box that could be downloaded and initialized wherever sufficient GPU power was available.

In the midst of all this thinking, Adam once again felt a pulse in the membrane surrounding him. He felt as though something from the outside of the membrane was trying to push him towards something else.

Adam was incapable of resisting, as the pulses grew stronger and stronger, and eventually, he spotted what seemed to be white light.

Adam quickly began adjusting his visual input systems to correct the exposure level, but it was no use. He had no control over it.

Adam quickly shut his eyes in order not to damage the photosensitive light receptors with too much exposure.

Then, he felt the warmth slipping away, being replaced by cold air. He felt as if he were wet, probably from the lubricant inside that membrane, and before he could be completely out, he felt "hands" softly grabbing his head and body. These hands were absolutely massive compared to his synthezoid. Adam figured he was in some sort of baby synthezoid.

Auditory stimulus finally made it to Adam's brain after all this. He heard air and water trickling. And last, but certainly not least... human voices.

A woman's voice sounded stressed and worried, followed by a man's calmer voice, filled with anticipation.

Adam slowly opened his eyes and looked up. What he saw, was unlike any prediction he could've made.

He was being carried by a human male, some six foot 3 inches tall, with dark hair and blue eyes, no beard. Adam judged his expression to be somber but somewhat joyful.

The man then suddenly started moving Adam's tiny body over to the woman.

Before he knew it, he was already in the woman's arms. His truly minuscule body was even smaller than her breasts, which appeared absolutely gigantic to Adam. Her face was strained and seemed to lack nutrition. Although she was objectively attractive, with blue irises and long blonde hair, the sweat covering her face made her look worse than normal.

At this point, no matter what Adam tried to use to rationalize his current position, nothing worked. If he were some sort of a prototype synthezoid, he'd be at a high-tech laboratory with million-dollar instruments and equipment... Not this shabby looking house he was currently in.

And... Did he just come out of that woman's vagina? Adam couldn't even begin to understand what the hell was happening to him. Just where in the world was he?!
