The ride to the party venue was long and quiet since I was the only one holding the car.
Few minutes later which felt like hours, we arrived at a big gate. With big thick green trees at both sides and the gate automatically opens for us to pass through which was screaming luxury. Trees and flowers one seated perfectly at both sides of the driveway, then stopped in front of a mansion which was enormous and massive, lights all around revealing the great aesthetic of the place, flowers the scent of sunflowers filled the air making it cool and refreshing among added the fountain on the drive way.
"will you keep staring at the place or will you come in?" A voice that I knew said to me and I turned around and saw Alex, his face glowed in the dark, his face was well toned, his suit fitting him like it was made perfectly for him as he walked towards me I couldn't move and I really don't know why his intoxicating scent that just makes my knees weak, his eyes just stared into mine like I was the only thing there, he has this good amusement in his eyes.
"You look good?" he said bringing me back to my senses.
"Thank you, at least you have eyes to see things that are beautiful." I gave a little smile.
"So we need to act like a cool couple and make it believable." he whispered into my ears making my heart skip a beat.
"Sure, no problem." he gave me his hands and locked it with mine. God his touch.
His hands are so soft and yet so firm. As we walked into the hall everyone's eyes were on us some faces had fear in them and some had jealousy written on them, side talks everywhere but I didn't care, I just need to fake this thing and It get over with.
"Hey alex?" A middle aged man with white beard and hair approached us, he looks like he is in his mid 50's his face looks a lot like Alex only that his face was wrinkled
"I guess that's your father?" I whispered to him
"You are quite smart?" his eyes were on the man coming towards us.
"Hey dad" he smiled and hugged him
"Hey son" the man replied
"This is my wife Rosa Evans" he introduced me and I smiled
"Hello Mr Cavalli, it's good to see you" I shook his hand and he just pulled me into a big hug.
"Welcome daughter in law" he said and broke off
the hug. "It's truly good to see you" he smiled sipping his drink
"It's finally good to see you too, you know I have
been asking Alex him to take me to see you but
he always refused or come up with some lame
excuse?" I tapped his firm chest and smiled at
him and he also did the same
"I and Alex do not really see eye to eye except it concerns business" Mr Cavalli said taking another sip from his drink
"ooh... "I didn't know I was surprised. "enough with all this, dad I need to take my wife to meet some business partners. Alex broke the conversation. "Go on" Mr cavelli said kissing my hand.. "such a gentleman" I whispered and smiled we stopped at a table, I collected a glass of wine from the waiter. " "stay here and don't talk to anyone he whispered to me. "sure I won't" I took a sip from the wine and he left. The party was sure boring and I just didn't know what to do I just kept on taking more wine.
