After the ribbon cutting I spend three hours smooshing with the influential people of San Diego, and taking some of their kids that were interested in to play with and pet the baby dinos, it was surprising the amount of adult women that also wanted to play with the little munchkins of adorableness, even in their fancy expensive as hell clothing, the number of famous actresses and actors that came for the opening is astonishing.
The whole night I could barley keep my eyes off of Lisa or Alexis, Lex in a beautiful blue dress that was both tasteful and gave teasing glances, and Lisa in women's business attire that she made look so fucking good.
But Lex kept her distance from me the entire time during the event and didn't even look jealous when thirsty women would come over to me and give me little touches to try to give me better views of their cleavage.
'Honestly, I was happy about learning what I thought was Lisa's little trick to get us talking to one another was actually Alexis's idea, and I'm happy that we actually started dating but if she doesn't even feel like she can stand by my side as an equal at something like this…there really isn't any hope for us, I want a partner that I can rely on someone I can share my troubles with and who can put me at ease and help me improve, then there's the whole sex thing…we're always being interrupted by this thing or that, or maybe the truth is she just isn't interested in going that far, after all it's only been six month and if you count the actual time I've had to spend with her it's been maybe two weeks of actual dating spread out over six months.' I think and am pulled out of my thoughts by a signal from a smiling Lisa as I fended off some advances of rich and beautiful women.
The signal told me I had reached the amount of time present at this event, to show that I am fully invested in this venture and it's success and that I've met with everyone I should, so I walk back up onto stage.
Grabbing the microphone, "Hello, everyone I hope you are all enjoying yourselves here tonight at Jurassic Zoo, a preview of what Jurassic Park will be in the future, sadly my time here has come to an end as I am needed elsewhere to oversee the laying of important infrastructure.
It is my genuine wish that you all enjoy yourselves tonight and treat these little balls of energy and adorableness with love and respect, because someday…" I say and gesture with my hand making the floor behind me split open allowing a platform to rise up revealing Rexy and Little One.
"They will be, the big powerful creatures." Rexy finishes off my words with a glass rattling roar.
I smile at the faces of awe, fear, greed and desire, as they look upon Rexy, Little One and me.
"Goodnight everyone." I say one last time and Lisa joins me on the platform as it starts to descend once more, as soon as the doors overhead shut Lisa starts gushing over me, and my girls.
"Ohh, you looked so handsome and powerful up there with these two, not to mention how powerful and beautiful they looked in that setting and lighting, you're going to have to beat people away from Jurassic Park!" Lisa gushes as she hugs me enthusiastically, Rexy bumps her snout on my shoulder and Little One presses her head against my thigh looking for some love too.
Lowering down into the basement of the complex, I'm shocked as Lex exits the regular person sized elevator in a beautiful blue dress, while her mom is hugging me tightly still gushing, I can see her smiling and rolling her eyes at her mother.
"Why didn't you come over at all upstairs?" I ask as Lex takes her mother's place.
"I didn't want to steal your thunder plus the more influential and wealthy women that think that you are single the more they'll talk about you and Horizon Industries." Lex says back to me showing that she isn't just good with computer stuff.
"I still would have liked having you by my side up there." I say to her honestly as I wrap an arm around her waist, and pull her against me.
Lex looks uncomfortable so I'm about to let her go but Lisa starts gushing over us, I think she might have had a glass or two too much of the champagne.
"Oh, you two look so cute together." Lisa says while gushing but there is something hidden in her voice.
"Mom, can Alec and I have some alone time." Lex words it like a question but it definitely isn't one.
"We can go up to my office if you want?" I offer and Lex nods, "Just let me send Rexy and Little One to bed first." While opening the massive bay door to my loft that allowed me to transport Rexy here for free.
"Go on to the forest and hunt some prey girls." I'll come check on you later, I say to my two big girls both make sounds of acceptance before walking inside, the loft and the door shuts after them.
Tim, Lisa and Lex are very accepting of my abilities almost like they are normal…even though they most definitely aren't and they've never spoken to anyone about them, at least to my knowledge.
Walking over and getting into the private elevator that leads to my office, something left over from John's design of the place, now away from her mother Lex's awkwardness bleeds away from her, and so does her reluctance to be close to me.
'How do I begin this?'
"D-did mom, help you…relax?" Lex asks me and I can feel her blushing.
"Uhh, yeah…look I don't even know where to begin, it was wrong of me to."
"No, no it wasn't I asked my Mom to help you, I know how hard you get when we make out, and I know it's painful for guys to be left like that, Charlotte told me, and you've been so patient with me, I just want to help you…God this is so embarrassing!" Lex just vomits up words rambling before saying God like a sharp curse and expressing how embarrassed she feels.
"Lex…" I murmur and trail off finding this girl so adorably cute even if she is being manipulated and conditioned into being a cuckqueen by her "best friend".
Lex keeps her head pressed against my chest without looking up at me, "Are you sure that this is something you want, just say the words and I'll stop working with your mother so closely, I'll find someone else as gifted with finance as her."
"No!" Lex pushes back and looks up at me, "I mean no, please don't do that Mom has been the happiest I've ever seen her, working with you…you give her something my, my asshole of a father never did, you make her happy even when you guys didn't do things, I want my mom to be happy, I want you to be happy. If Mom taking care of you in that way makes you both happy then I'm happy…" Lex explains as best as she can about her own confused feelings before biting her bottom lip, tilting my head down I slowly kiss Lex.
Breaking the kiss after turning Lex into a blushing panting hot mess, "As long as you're happy and okay, with it…but the second you aren't or it makes you too uncomfortable say something to both of us Lex. I know for me the last thing I ever want to do is hurt you." I tell Lex and she smiles a small uncertain smile.
"I will, just promise me the only one you'll do things with besides me is Mom, I really hate Jessica Pearson?" Lex's voice starts out soft until she talks about her hate of Jessica Pearson, and I'm not really sure where it comes from. I mean sure the woman is a go-getter and speaks her mind with me but, she's never really shown an interest in me…maybe because I'm not black.
"Got it, just your mom, So want to have dinner with me tonight?"
"I'd like that." Lex smiles happily at me.
