Chapter 34 - Season 1. Chapter 33: Woods travels

Scene: 7:02 AM – The First Dawnlight After Surviving

---

Oliver's eyelids twitched, and with a slow blink, the world of green and light faded back into view.

The cool air brushed across his cheeks as he sat up in a quick breath, his fingers instinctively reaching for the stone sword resting beside him. His body still felt sore—shoulders stiff from a night of endless combat—but something had changed.

He made it.

He survived the first night.

The Lux Light, a faint silvery-gold aura from the forest's natural magic, shone through gaps in the canopy like thin curtains of light. The woods remained dim, but in a calming way, like the day was waiting for him to rise.

Oliver stood, brushing his brown hair back as the wind tousled it gently. The trees whispered around him. A new rhythm had begun.

He stepped further through the brush and emerged into a smaller grassfield clearing, where he could finally see the sky: a brilliant pinkish hue, streaked with hints of morning lavender and fading twilight blue. The sun had barely climbed above the horizon, and the world felt like it was waking with him.

Then, a sight both unexpected and oddly comforting.

A pack of Stonebark Wolves, gray and moss-coated with luminous yellow eyes, strode calmly past the clearing. No growls. No signs of threat. Just coexistence. Some pups played quietly near the edge, tripping over roots, following the older wolves through the grass.

> Not all the wild is cruel, Oliver thought to himself.

From his inventory, he pulled a fresh apple and took a bite—crisp and sweet, the taste of simplicity and survival. Juice ran down his fingers. He didn't even bother to wipe it. He was too busy walking forward.

The birds began to tweet, soft and rhythmic. Morning sounds stitched into the fabric of the woods. His boots hit the damp soil with purpose.

No imps. No Wraiths. No arrows.

Just daylight.

And the beginning of something greater.

Oliver didn't look back.

He walked deeper, stone blade in one hand, and a second apple in his pack.

The forest was wide. And he was just getting started.

Scene: Second Day – The Grassfields & Incoming Rain

---

Oliver tread softly through the lush grassfields, each blade swaying gently under the rhythm of the early morning breeze. The wind was calm, but carried with it the distant scent of moist earth and the weight of something coming.

His boots brushed against small wildflowers, and the field ahead shimmered under the soft light — like a calm before something deeper.

Then it hit.

🌀 "Incoming Environmental Notice: 100% Chance of Rain Today – Classic June Pattern: High Precipitation Expected. Prepare Accordingly."

Oliver sighed, slightly amused. "Just like June," he muttered to himself.

The first week of June in this world mirrored some parts of Earth's rainy season — heavy clouds, intermittent showers, and moments of surprise downpours. But here in the wilds, it was intensified. The sky might turn without warning. Storms could carry not just thunder, but elemental phenomena or demonic interference.

Oliver glanced up.

Though the horizon was faintly bright, gray clouds were forming — layered and shifting, gathering behind the tree line like quiet giants. The air had a thicker scent now, almost electric. Not quite danger, but a promise of discomfort if unprepared.

He pulled up his hood, adjusted his stone sword's position on his back, and double-checked his apple supply. Still plenty. His water Vita remained stable, and his stamina trait gave him more endurance today.

The raindrops hadn't started yet, but the world was holding its breath.

He figured he had about an hour — maybe less — before the first shower hit. It wouldn't just be about walking anymore.

Now, it was time to think:

Shelter?

Cave?

Thick canopy coverage?

Or... keep moving?

Oliver took one last look at the open sky.

Day Two had begun.

And it was bringing the storm.
