Chapter 13: The Hurricane Master

After selecting Ellis Runestone for his team, Marcus was now eager to confront Valen and Lucian again, but he did not want to take any actions yet. He first wanted to officially take Ellis and eliminate his one teammate.

He was going to eliminate his teammate, but suddenly he was interrupted by a speed coming his way. He looked at Galahad and Ellis; they were also ready to strike the force.

But by her ability as an archer, Ellis noticed it was Siegfried, who was hundreds of thousands of miles away, who was coming at them.

In the blink of an eye, Siegfried reached there and tried to strike Ellis, but Galahad blocked it.

Galahad looked at Siegfried and asked him in a frustrated tone, "What are you trying to do, Siegfried?"

Siegfried then replied with a smug face, "Don't worry. I was trying to test her, and she is more than good."

He said those words while looking at Ellis, who was already pointing a powerful arrow at Siegfried.

He then turned to Marcus and explained about his teammates, "Your allies teamed with Ellis' allies and tried to ambush me."

Marcus thought about it for a second and realized that was why he could not feel their aura, even as a leader.

Marcus looked at Siegfried and asked, "Are you by any chance disappointed?"

Siegfried replied with a cold tone, "I'm not. Their fault is not that they betrayed me, but rather it's that they were too weak to accomplish it."

Hearing his words, Galahad didn't agree and gave his view. "They were wrong. God sees everything, and He also gives you what you deserve. They deserved that."

Hearing Galahad's point, Ellis scoffed and said, "Of course you would say that. You didn't have to kill to survive. You have not seen life and death. Even in the body of a teenager, you're still a child who thinks about flowers."

Their points of view didn't match because they didn't live the same life. They could not see what others couldn't, and others could not see what they could. But still, in the end, we get blinded to our world by looking at another. We always see the eyes that look at other eyes, not the ones that see us.

After their discussion, Marcus stood still, not moving. He then remembered his pain, and the pain he gave to others. In his story, he was the victim. In another story, he was the villain. People judge other people on the basis of what they have seen the people do. In another person's story, people are judged on some part of life. In ours, our actions are ignored. We are alone the hero. Everyone else is the villain. No one wants to see inside of themselves because we have eyes on our outer body, but some have the eye of mind looking at their soul.

This was the crap I was told by Marcus Alderwood.

Let's not get carried away.

The Battle Between The Strategist and Battle Machine

The scene shifted to another faction's base where Valen and Lucian arrived.

Lucian dropped down from the base and said, "So this is your base, Hurricane Master, or should I say chosen one of Hermes?"

As soon as Michael's faction heard those words, they attacked Lucian.

Lucian countered each of their strikes and spoke while gripping his spear tightly, "Sorry, warriors, but I don't have any time to waste."

Blue lightning aura started to form in the spear. Lucian gripped it more tightly and slammed it on the ground while saying to himself, "Trial of the Skies."

Black clouds began to form in the skies, and a lightning serpent—almost a dragon—came from the skies and called on the faction's base.
