Elian's POV

"Slut!"
His breath caught in his throat when he saw HIM.
Alpha Prince Lucian... AKA the man who rejected him twice. First in his past life and now in this life.
Question is: What the fuck is he doing at the doorway, fuming with anger barely a minute after Beta Axel left the room?
Suddenly, Lucian walked into the room, banging the door behind him. Elian jolted, tensing up and taking a single step back as he maintained eye contact with the Alpha Prince.
[Oh, his jealousy meter is astounding!]
What?
Jealousy meter?
[Yes, fruit cake! Steamy, delicious jealousy. I would show you the stats but... You know. You aren't qualified for that until you've successfully turned his hate into possessiveness.]
Elian gritted his teeth, clenching his hands into fists as he raised his head at the Alpha Prince.
"Nice to see you again, Alpha prince." He managed to bow, ignoring the glare from Lucian that was sharp enough to pierce through steel. "Forgive me for pointing out, but I never imagined I'd be graced with your presence again. After you..."
He paused, feeling the Alpha Prince's anger swarming the room like a storm. Lucian's eyes burned with a myriad of emotions but he didn't say anything.
It was as if he were waiting for Lucian to finish.
And the latter did just that.
"After you publicly rejected me, I never imagined I'd see you again." Elian continued with a shrug, placing his arms behind his back. "Or, at least, you tried to reject me."
Lucian's eyes twitched with even more unbridled rage as he took further steps into the bedroom. Elian gulped subconsciously and took a few steps back in return.
[I can't believe I'm saying this... But good job! It seems you merely being yourself is ticking him off. He's angry, but not because he hates you. It's because he's...]
Jealous.
Elian squinted his eyes as Lucian finally parted his lips to speak.
"The fact that you're nothing more than a lowly Omega was bad enough. The fact that you are a mere servant in this palace is already a stain on my image."
Elian furrowed his eyebrows ever so slightly, feeling emotions that he's kept for so long bubbling out like a simmering pot.
The anger and spite he's felt for the royal family, most especially the stuck-up Alpha prince who not only rejected him but also stood and watched him die in his past life.
They all came back like a flood as he tightened his fists while Lucian continued talking.
"But then you go around frolicking with anyone your eyes find pleasing. The Beta..."
What the fuck?
Elian raised an eyebrow, shaking his head with disbelief before he spoke. "You know he's my mate too, right?"
Suddenly, Lucian bolted forward until he was only three feet in front of Elian in a second. The latter's breath ceased and he gulped as he stared into Lucian's silver white eyes.
"Which makes your situation much worse," Lucian growled with contempt and well-hidden envy.
Well, not hidden enough since Elian could feel it. He could also feel his warm breath on his face and his expensive, flower-scented perfume, which seemed to envelop him.
"Why did the moon goddess grant you not one but two mates and then make me unfortunate enough to be one of them?" Lucian continued and sounded more like he was talking to himself.
He had better be talking to himself.
[Looks like someone is getting some backbone.]
The system's remark in Elian's mind did nothing to quell his anger.
"Why do you feel so concerned about the fact that I have a mate other than you?" Elian found himself asking, his gaze landing on Lucian's lips. "Is this jealousy I feel, Alpha Prince?"
Lucian blinked with surprise at first, his lips parting slightly.
Meanwhile, Elian tried hard to hide the smirk slowly forming on his lips as he thought to himself. 'Gotcha.'
[Well, not exactly. You haven't gotten any increase in his possessiveness meter. And you have exactly two hours and forty-five minutes to change his hate to possessiveness.]
By the gods...
"Looks like someone is having some balls after probably sucking off the Beta." Lucian suddenly blurted with disdain, shaking his head. "As expected from a cheap Omega slut like yourself. You like it, don't you?"
Elian had had enough at this point.
His eyes twitched as he raised his finger and pointed at Lucian's face, surprising the latter.
"With all due respect, I am still a person despite my Omega status and I wouldn't stand you calling me a slut when I haven't even had my first kiss," Elian said with a firm voice, although his gaze wavered a bit when he saw the shift in Lucian's eyes.
Just when it seemed like the Alpha prince was going to do or say something, Elian raised his hands in defeat and bowed slightly.
"It's alright. I'll leave." He blurted, plastering a smile on his face. "I'd rather sleep outside in the gardens than let you treat me as any less of a person."
Without another word, Elian walked past Lucian, heading for the bedroom door. As he did, the system made a mechanical ding sound in his mind.
[Congratulations! That little display managed to increase Lucian's possessiveness to 2%. If you manage to get it to at least 20%, it would be good enough to complete the mission.]
Elian felt a small smile tug at his lips upon hearing that.
That was great news!
Unfortunately, before he could walk any further, Lucian's hand wrapped around his wrist, pulling him back in one swift movement.
Elian gasped, trying to wriggle out of his grip as panic shook him. "W–What are you—"
Before he could complete that sentence, Lucian shoved him before pinning him to the wall behind him, causing him to gasp.
Lucian held both of Elian's hands over his head before bringing his face dangerously close to his, his breath pricking Elian's skin.
There was a brief moment of hesitation from Lucian, his grip faltering just for a couple of seconds. But it soon tightened as he tilted his head.
"You've not had a first kiss, eh?" Lucian asked with a sadistic whisper, a cruel smirk curling up his lips.
Elian's lips parted but he couldn't think of any words to say. His chest heaved heavily and his eyes fluttered nervously as his body burned.
He felt like leaning into Lucian's touch. His eyes lingered too long on the cold Alpha Prince's succulent pink lips.
Before Elian knew what was happening, Lucian locked lips with him, causing his eyes to widen.
