The morning came far quicker than Emelia expected it to. She rubbed her eyes as she stretched her back and got up from her bed.
Sehyun was no longer in her room, nor in her bed.
In fact, he was nowhere to be seen, and Emelia felt a tug of irritation because of it. She could not explain to herself why she felt that way since it was not like she expected Sehyun to be in her room the next morning.
"Did I get my expectations up or something? No matter how much of a lover I get treated as, I have to remember that I am not their partner."
With those words, Emelia pushed herself up from her bed and started the next day.
Her mind continued to tell her to go back to sleep and that it was too early for her to be up. The sun had not even started to show up, and her younger self would have gone to sleep at this time.
But responsibilities changed a person, and Emelia was no different.
