Those words hung in the air, causing the moment to turn awkward. Emelia looked at the alpha in front of her with hooded eyes, feeling equally suspicious and thrilled to have him visit.
'Stop it! I don't need to feel this way. I also need to stop my heart from beating this fast, or it might give away how nervous I feel at the moment.'
Emelia tried to calm her heart down, but it did not help her.
If anything, it made things worse for her, and she felt frustrated.
"Ah, am I disturbing you? I can tell that you were about to fall asleep. I apologize. You should have told me to go away since that was the case."
Sehyun smiled at Emelia, but his smile did not reach his eyes. Despite his calm and happy look, it was clear to tell that he was disappointed.
