Chapter 54 - Chapter 54: Tushan Yaya's sneak attack!

[Tl/n: New Book Here! It's Detective Conan fanfic! Titled: Detective Conan: I'm A Succubus!?]

"Who's Tushan Honghong."

A voice called out from above.

Nanashi descended from the sky, his figure calm and composed.

Honghong looked up at the strangely dressed man standing before her, eyes filled with confusion and curiosity.

"I am Tushan Honghong."

The young fox demon tightened her arms around her sister protectively.

Nanashi offered a small smile.

"Let me introduce myself. I'm Nanashi, the administrator of the group."

As he spoke, he casually raised a finger—

BOOM!

The wooden cages shattered instantly.

"Sister!"

Rongrong, now free, threw herself into Honghong's arms.

Honghong held her trembling sister close, still reeling from shock.

She couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"The chat group… it's actually real!"

At first, she had thought the messages were some trick by the Daoist priests and ignored them.

But as time passed, she realized they hadn't even noticed the chat group at all.

So, as a last resort, she had sent out a desperate plea for help—

Never expecting someone would actually come to save them.

Nanashi raised his hand again, and a gust of wind swept away the talismans sealing their powers.

The old Daoist priest watched in a mix of rage and horror.

The unnatural way this man manipulated the world around him—

It was beyond comprehension.

A monster in human form.

"Run!"

He knew when to fight—but more importantly, when to flee.

Without hesitation, he turned and bolted, abandoning his disciple without a second thought.

Nanashi remained still, watching impassively as the old priest ran three kilometers away.

Then—

With a flick of his wrist, a stone flew into his hand.

A small, ordinary rock.

But in his grasp—it became a weapon.

He flicked his fingers—

WHOOSH!

A flash of light.

THUD!

The stone pierced the old Daoist's forehead with surgical precision.

His body tumbled forward, rolling a few times before going completely still.

Nanashi then turned his gaze to the young Daoist priest, who had been watching the entire scene unfold.

The boy showed no fear, nor did he attempt to plead for his life.

He simply stood there—silent, as if accepting whatever fate awaited him.

Nanashi studied him for a moment.

Then, in a quiet voice, he spoke.

"Leave."

The young Daoist blinked.

"…!"

He was stunned.

Tushan Honghong, however, was not as forgiving.

"Wait—! But these two are the ones who captured us!"

Nanashi sighed lightly.

"I know you have a kind heart. Please, just let him go."

Unlike his master, this young Daoist priest was not evil.

There was no malice in his actions.

"…Thank you."

The young Daoist bowed his head slightly, suppressing his shock.

After one final glance at Honghong and Rongrong, he turned and walked away.

Nanashi looked down at Honghong and gently ruffled her red hair.

"Do you know why I let him go?"

She didn't resist.

Whether it was because of his strength or because he had saved her—

She wasn't sure.

But she blinked up at him, her big, lively eyes filled with confusion.

"That boy has a good heart." Nanashi explained. "He was planning to free you in secret."

"What?!"

Honghong and Rongrong looked at each other in shock.

They couldn't believe it.

"So, you see…" Nanashi smiled. "You can't always judge people by their appearances."

The two young fox demons were still too young to fully understand.

"Mmm!"

But they nodded enthusiastically, taking his words to heart.

Nanashi chuckled.

Before they could react, he scooped up both Honghong and Rongrong—one in each arm.

The two girls gasped as they were lifted effortlessly, their small arms instinctively wrapping around his shoulders.

"Which direction is Tushan? There's still time—I'll take you back."

Rongrong, still shy and timid, lowered her head, unable to respond.

Honghong's cheeks turned rosy, but she was braver than her sister.

After looking around for a moment, she finally pointed in a direction.

"That way!"

Nanashi nodded.

"Alright."

Then—

He soared into the sky at full speed.

As the wind rushed past them, he subtly manipulated the airflow, creating a protective barrier around the two little foxes—shielding them from the force of the high-speed flight.

Nanashi arrived at Tushan in record time, encountering no obstacles along the way.

He descended gracefully, landing at the mountain gate, and gently set the two little fox demons down.

Just as his feet touched the ground—

A chilling breath of ice swept toward him.

He made no move to dodge, allowing it to come straight at him.

"Yaya! No!"

Tushan Honghong tried to stop the attack, but it was already too late.

Snap!

The moment the sharp ice blade neared Nanashi, it shattered into tiny fragments, scattering into the air.

Standing at the gate, hands on her hips, was a short purple-haired fox demon, eyes blazing with determination.

"You! You're the one who kidnapped my sisters!"

She glared at Nanashi, her small figure ready to fight to the death.

"Yaya! Stop it! This is Rongrong's and my savior!"

"Huh? He didn't capture you?"

Tushan Yaya's aggressive stance faltered, and she awkwardly crossed her fingers.

"No, it was…" Honghong hesitated before continuing. "The bad Daoist priests captured us… Brother Nanashi saved us."

Tushan Rongrong nodded in agreement, adding softly, "That's right."

Being called "Brother" by a little loli?

Nanashi: Hmm? I like it.

"Ahahaha…"

Tushan Yaya scratched her head, laughing awkwardly before quickly bowing.

"I'm sorry! I wrongly accused you!!!"

Seeing this, Honghong and Rongrong also followed suit, bowing respectfully.

"Brother Nanashi, please forgive Yaya!"

Nanashi chuckled, shaking his head.

"I'm not that petty. Apology accepted."

Nanashi glanced at the mountain behind them before sighing lightly.

"Well, now that I've brought you back safely, it's time for me to go."

Honghong's expression fell.

"Brother Nanashi is leaving already? But we haven't even thanked you properly!"

She tried to keep him a little longer, but Nanashi waved a hand dismissively.

"It's fine. Tushan doesn't allow humans to enter so easily these days, right? No need to make things difficult for me."

He gave a lazy stretch before grinning.

"If you need anything, just reach out in the chat group."

With that, his figure flickered—

And vanished.

"! He disappeared! He disappeared!"

Tushan Yaya's eyes widened in disbelief.

She rushed to the spot where Nanashi had just stood, searching for any sign of a mechanism or illusion—but found nothing.

Meanwhile, Rongrong blinked curiously and tugged at Honghong's sleeve.

"Sister… what's a 'group'?"

Honghong fell silent for a moment.

Then, with a bitter smile, she realized—

She couldn't explain the chat group.

It was as if an invisible force prevented her from speaking about it.

So instead, she simply said,

"It's… just a mysterious organization."

Taking her sisters' hands, she led them back toward Tushan.

But in her heart, she had already made a firm decision.

She had to become stronger.

Something like this—being powerless, needing to be rescued—could never happen again.

She would protect her younger sisters.

And more than that—

She would repay the favor!
