š Whispers of the Moon
By Rapwizzy Debaron
Episode 63: Love Versus Time
The sky above the temple split open, lightning veining across a blood-red moon. Wind whipped through the shattered mirrors as two versions of Juvia stood face-to-face ā one forged from love and forgiveness, the other from logic and sacrifice.
"You would choose pain again?" Time-Juvia whispered, her voice echoing with galaxies. "You would let the world suffer just so you can feel loved?"
Juvia stood firm. "Love doesn't make us weak. It gives us something to fight for."
Time-Juvia's cloak billowed as she raised her hand. From behind her, fractured timelines poured out ā twisted soldiers of time: hollow, glowing figures, shaped like people who might've existed but never did.
Sae-rin stepped in front of Ha-jun. "Those⦠those are erased souls."
"They were possibilities," Time-Juvia said. "Lives you snuffed out when you chose your own path. Now, they fight to reclaim what was stolen."
The hollow figures surged forward.
Ha-jun yanked Juvia back as the ground cracked. "We have to run!"
"No," Juvia said, gripping the mirror shard tighter. "We face them."
She held it up.
The shard pulsedāand from it, light poured out. Warm. Blinding. Real.
In a flash, the shadows screamed and recoiled. They weren't used to emotion⦠to heart⦠to memory.
The shard was more than a remnant of her trialāit was a weapon of truth.
Sae-rin shouted, "Use your heart! It's connected to the shard!"
Juvia closed her eyes.
And remembered.
Ha-jun, walking her home in the rain.
Her brother ruffling her hair before disappearing to war.
That night she cried alone, yet still chose to live.
The shard flared brighterāuntil it transformed, melting into her palm and shaping into a blade of light.
A sword forged from memory, love, and every piece of herself she'd once buried.
Time-Juvia watched with unreadable eyes. "You'd fight your own potential?"
"No," Juvia said, stepping forward. "I'm fighting the fear that shaped you."
Ha-jun joined her side, unsheathing his own blade. "You're not alone."
Time-Juvia's soldiers attacked.
The battle exploded into motion.
Ha-jun moved like lightning, slicing through the hollow figures with deadly grace. Sae-rin conjured barriers from ancient runes, shielding Juvia as she cut through the fog of timelines.
For every soul that lunged, Juvia whispered a name ā a name from the forgotten timelines. As she did, the shadows vanished peacefully, not destroyed⦠but set free.
Time-Juvia's composure cracked. "No⦠you can't unwrite me."
"You were never a mistake," Juvia said. "But you don't have to keep hurting."
The former version of herself faltered.
Then screamed.
The ground split open. A vortex of time opened beneath their feet. The moon began to fall.
Juvia sprinted forward. "I'm ending this!"
With one last surge of energy, she plunged the blade into the core of the broken temple.
The vortex screamed.
The timelines collidedā
And thenā
Silence.
Juvia collapsed, breathless.
When she opened her eyes⦠they were in a field of stars. Floating.
Time-Juvia stood across from her, human now. Crying.
"I was so aloneā¦"
Juvia reached out. "You don't have to be."
They touched hands.
And the final mirror⦠broke.
The vortex sealed.
The temple vanished.
The sky turned blue again.
