Adam stood by the window of his office, jaw tight, breath slow and dangerous. The skyline outside stretched wide and cold, but the fire inside him burned hotter with every word Caiden had delivered.
"Sir... Beatrice and Mrs. Ravenstrong were seen entering a boutique. Beatrice initiated it. Raymond may have encouraged it—but from what we saw, she was baiting Mrs. Ravenstrong."
Adam's knuckles had whitened. Beatrice knew exactly where to strike. And Raymond let it happen.
Adam grabbed his coat and left for Thornvale Tower.
Raymond didn't even have a chance to look up properly before Adam pushed through the doors of his office like a storm.
"Adam," Raymond started, standing.
"You crossed a line," Adam said, voice low but slicing. "You had no right."
Raymond raised a brow. "If this is about the boutique—"
"It is. You knew what Beatrice was capable of—and you let her corner Sofia."
