Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: Teaching the Common Language of the Continent

---

"Oh no, it's already this late?"

Meteria glanced at the sky and gasped. "Oh no oh no, it's already time to sleep."

"If my sister knew, she would be angry…"

Remembering that Ronen couldn't understand her.

she stood up and gently took his hand. Her hands were warm and soft, and the dark environment made Ronen's heart beat faster again after an intense evening of studying for a while.

Meteria held the magic stone lamp in one hand and Ronen's hand in the other, and came to the door they had just walked through on the inside of the church.

After opening the door, there was a dark staircase inside.

"Too dark?"

She noticed Ronen's slight hesitation and whispered softly, her voice comforting in the dark.

As they descended the stone steps slowly, both felt their hearts beat faster—not just from the dark, but from the growing closeness. The stillness, the flickering light, and the intimacy of the moment made it feel dreamlike.

The Hera Familia was made up entirely of women. In contrast, the Zeus Familia consisted solely of men.

This couple's family is known as the two strongest families in the world.

Their relationship had long since fractured—Zeus, infamous for his wandering eyes, and Hera, known for her intense jealousy, had frequent, explosive quarrels.

so it is natural that the relationship between the family members will not be good on the surface. It was no surprise the two groups barely tolerated each other.

Therefore, it was the first time for Meteria had never been close to a man—let alone walk hand in hand up this dark staircase.

" We are here!"

They arrived in the basement.

The environment is okay, although it can't be compared with the houses in the 21st century but to Ronen, it was more than enough. After being thrown into another world and starving for a day, having a safe roof over his head felt like a miracle.

"Good night, Ronen."

Though he couldn't understand the words, the way she spoke his name in Chinese helped him guess her meaning. He sat on the bed as she offered him a gentle smile and quietly exited the room.

The door clicked shut. Darkness settled in.

Only the sound of Ronen's breathing remained.

"This really feels like a dream…"

He lay back, eyes tracing the ceiling he could barely see. He had crossed into another world, gone hungry, met a kind White-haired girl, and now—she was teaching him the local language.

Was this luck?

Or something deeper—a fated encounter?

His thoughts drifted to Meteria's warmth and soft smile.

I am indeed tired today, so I should take a good rest.

"I just hope I don't wake up missing a kidney," he joked silently, soon fell asleep.

---

On the other side, in another basement, Meteria sat with covered her cheeks which were covered with blushes..

"I've met someone interesting…"

The thought of a man sleeping just a wall away sent her heart fluttering. Meteria felt shy but also a little excited.

"I wonder how Sister is doing…"

Meteria muttered. She changed into her nightgown and lay down. Her mind wandered.

The Hera Familia had left on an expedition the day before yesterday—to confront Leviathan, the sea overlord.

All Meteria could do was pray for her sister's safety.

Unlike Meteria, who had no particular talent, her older sister Alfia had risen quickly through the ranks, becoming a high ranking adventurer thanks to her exceptional gifts.

Surely, someone as powerful as her definitely be able to return safely, … right?

Thinking about this, Meteria thought of Ronen again and couldn't help but smile softly.

"Sleep well… Tomorrow will be another wonderful day."

---

Morning came on schedule. And to Ronen's great relief—his kidneys were still intact. Ronen also completely let down his guard against Meteria.

He chuckled to himself.

"That was a great sleep."

Perhaps because of his encounter with the beautiful girl.

Perhaps it was the comfort of the room… or maybe the presence of a kind, beautiful girl. Either way, he felt more rested than he had in ages.

After stretching, Ronen walked out of the basement.

The sun is shining brightly, it must be past nine o'clock, right?

Meteria was seated outside, waiting. Her eyes lit up when she saw him.

"Hungry?"

She approached, gesturing clearly with her hands. Ronen watched carefully and nodded, understanding her meaning.

"Come. Time to wash up."

She pointed to a small basin, wooden cup, brush, and towel nearby. There was no toothpaste, but a powder served the same purpose well enough.

After washing up and eating a simple breakfast, Meteria brought out several books once more.

"Let's begin today's lesson."

They were basic language primers—colorful children's books meant for learning the written language. With a proud smile, she declared, "As a teacher, I think I'm pretty good."

Seeing her cute appearance and bright expression, Ronen couldn't help but reach out and gently pat her head.

It was a little forward, since Meteria touched him yesterday, it's okay for her to touch him back now, right?

He watched her reaction.

Instead of annoyance, she blushed softly.

Can girl… really be this pure?My goodness, are all girls in the other world so naive?

Ronen smiled. "I'm counting on you."

Even though she didn't understand the words, his gentle tone made her heart flutter. Their connection didn't need full sentences.

They were, in some way, kindred spirits.

The day's lesson began. And Compared to yesterday, the two were closer.

Although they haven't been together for a long time, they get along very well.

They seemed to grow more in sync with each passing hour. Ronen's mysterious aura, combined with Meteria's innocence, made it easy for affection to blossom.

"Today's teaching is over~"

---

Soon a week passed in the blink of an eye.

After examining Ronen's progress, Meteria clapped her hands happily.

"You really are a fast learner. I must be a good teacher!Of course, Ronen is also a good student"

She now pronounced his name with a local accent—a natural shift, since Ronen would need to blend into this world eventually.

"That's amazing."

Ronen gently touched her head and then pinched her cheek. She didn't resist—in fact, her face reddened again, and she giggled.

Though they still couldn't fully communicate, Ronen had picked up enough vocabulary for everyday conversation.

He realized something curious—since arriving in this world, his ability to absorb knowledge had skyrocketed. Everything came easily, like he had a low-level cheat code.

"Not bad," she muttered to herself.

Meteria had a smug expression on her face, puffed her chest out with pride. she looked very cute .

During the week, they had grown intimate close. Through shared time, gestures, and smiles, a subtle bond had taken root.

As time passed, he completely let down his guard against Meteria and truly fell in love with this girl.

Gentle, kind, a wife sent by God. a girl who felt like she was meant to be by his side.

He thought back to Re:Creators, of a certain protagonist who let jealousy destroy something beautiful. What a waste.

How could anyone throw away such a blessing?

Then, he thought of himself.

Here he was, in a new world, still powerless. That uncertainty gnawed at him.

A pure soul like Meteria must have grown up under strong protection. Her world was safe because of the people behind her.

Ronen even imagined scenes of being slapped in the face, but fortunately he hadn't met anyone other than Meteria this week.

And maybe… that was enough now.
