Chapter 85 - Episode 82 Blood Of The Betrayed

The Devil's Bride

By Rapwizzy Debaron

Episode 82: Blood of the Betrayed

The world fell silent.

Not from peace.

But from the weight of choice.

The child—born of fire and light—stood between destruction and salvation. His eyes held galaxies, but his face… mirrored Seraphina's sorrow.

Lucian gripped his blade, eyes locked on the boy. "It's a trick. It has to be."

Seraphina stepped forward, her voice trembling. "No… he's real. I remember his name."

She dropped to her knees. "Aureon."

The name echoed, soft and holy. Even the flames paused, listening.

Aureon tilted his head. "Why did you leave me, Mother?"

A gasp escaped her lips. Her hands trembled. "I didn't know. I wasn't told. They took you before I could—before I was reborn."

The First Flame's voice rolled across the sky like thunder:

> "SHE ABANDONED YOU. JOIN ME, SON OF FLAME. BECOME MORE THAN HER SHAME."

The boy's eyes glowed—a war waging inside them. "I'm not… angry. I just… don't understand."

Lucian stepped forward. "Then let me help you understand."

Aureon turned to him.

Lucian knelt beside Seraphina. "You were born of fire. But fire doesn't have to destroy. It can protect. It can warm. It can… love."

The child hesitated.

Behind him, the First Flame coiled in the sky, its wrath growing. "HE IS MINE."

Seraphina's wings flared open. Her soul lit up. "No. He's ours."

She reached for Aureon.

He stepped closer.

The Flame screamed, shaking the earth.

> "IF HE LEAVES ME, I BURN THE WORLD."

Lucian rose to his feet. "Then burn it."

He turned to the Moon Priests, the Witch, Gabriel, the Chainbreaker. "Form the Circle of Severance!"

They nodded, racing to form a ring of runes around the child and Seraphina.

The Harbinger hovered above, eyes glowing silver. "This will break the bond—but it could shatter the boy's soul."

Seraphina looked at her son. "Do you trust me?"

Aureon whispered, "Yes, Mother."

The spell began.

Fire clashed with divinity. The ground cracked. Time twisted. The First Flame roared in agony as its tie to Aureon began to unravel.

> "HE WAS THE PRICE! THE FIRSTBORN! YOU CANNOT—"

A shockwave exploded outward.

Aureon screamed—but held Seraphina's hands tightly.

Lucian gripped his sword with both hands, drawing on every ounce of his infernal birthright. The blade blazed with blue fire—Hellfire Purified.

He struck the sky.

And cleaved the Flame's voice in two.

Silence.

Then—

The First Flame began to collapse, folding into itself, trying to retreat into the veil between realms.

But the Harbinger pointed. "It's weak. We strike now."

The final battle had begun.

But as they charged toward the heart of the dying god… Seraphina looked down.

Aureon had collapsed.

"Lucian!" she screamed. "He's not breathing!"

Lucian turned mid-charge. The light around Aureon was flickering.

And from his chest… a black brand began to spread.

Not the Flame's.

Something older.

Something darker.

The Harbinger's voice broke. "No… not that. Not him."

Lucian's eyes narrowed. "Who?"

She turned slowly, dread in every syllable:

> "The Father of Fire."

> "The one even the First Flame fears."

> "Aureon is not just a child… he is a gate."

To be continued…
