Biltmore Estate Ballroom, 1907
Gevherriz looked at her husband with a sweet expression. "Luthor."
Luthor turned to his wife, his brow slightly furrowed in curiosity. "Yes, my love?"
With a solemn smile, Gevherriz continued, "There's someone that I want to introduce to you."
Luthor raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Oh? Who might that be?"
Gevherriz glanced toward the entrance of the ballroom, where a vibrant figure stood, her laughter ringing like music. "Her name is Lyanna. I met her earlier this evening, and I think you'll really like her."
As Lyanna approached, her gown shimmered under the grand chandeliers, catching the light and reflecting it like stars scattered across the night sky. Luthor straightened, offering a welcoming smile.
"Lyanna, this is my husband, Luthor," Gevherriz said, her voice warm and inviting.
Lyanna extended her hand, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Luthor."
Luthor took her hand, his grip firm yet gentle. "The pleasure is all mine, Lyanna. I hope you're enjoying the ball so far."
"It's absolutely enchanting." Lyanna says with a sincere smile.
Şadiye then introduced Joren to her new friend Lyanna. "Joren, this is Lyanna," she said, gesturing toward her friend.
Lyanna turned to Joren, her eyes bright with excitement. "It's wonderful to meet you, Joren!" she exclaimed, extending her hand in greeting.
Joren smiled warmly, taking her hand in his. "The pleasure is mine, Lyanna. How are you finding the ball?"
Lyanna's face lit up as she responded, "It's absolutely enchanting! The decorations are like stars scattered across the night sky."
Joren nodded in agreement, appreciating her enthusiasm. "I couldn't agree more. It's a magical evening."
As they continued to chat, the atmosphere around them buzzed with laughter and music, adding to the charm of the occasion.
Then a thought came to Gevherriz's mind.
Gevherriz looked over at Luthor, her heart racing slightly. She knew it was the perfect moment to speak with him privately. "Luthor," she said softly, leaning closer to him, "could we talk alone for a moment?" His brow furrowed with curiosity, but he nodded and led her away from the lively crowd.
Gevherriz found a quiet corner, away from the swirling energy of the ball, and took a deep breath. "I've been thinking about something," she began, her voice steady but laced with excitement.
Luthor met her gaze, sensing the enthusiasm in her tone. "What is it, Gevherriz?" he asked, his expression shifting from curiosity to concern.
She knew she had his full attention now, and she was ready to share what had been weighing on her mind.
"Can you talk to William?" she asked, her eyes searching his for understanding.
Luthor hesitated for a moment, contemplating the implications of reaching out to William. "I can certainly try," he replied cautiously. "What specifically do you want me to discuss with him?"
Gevherriz felt a surge of excitement. "I was hoping you could ask him. I was hoping you could ask him if he would be willing to dance with my new friend, Lyanna.
Luthor raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the request. "Dancing, you say? That sounds like quite the adventure. I'll do my best to convince him."
Gevherriz turned to Luthor with a warm smile. "Thank you so much for agreeing to help me. It means a lot to me that you're willing to step in and make this happen. I greatly appreciate your support." Luthor nodded, a hint of pride in his expression as he prepared to take on the task.
Luthor looked at his wife with immense love. "I'll give you the signal for when to send Lyanna to the dance floor."
Gevherriz looked at her husband with understanding. "You got it."
Then Luthor walked away and made his way towards the other side of the ballroom, where William was located.
William had just finished dancing with a previous partner when he spotted his friend Luthor approaching. He could see the hint of pride on Luthor's face as he made his way through the crowd. Luthor's eyes sparkled with excitement, and William couldn't help but smile at the sight of his friend.
"Luthor!" William called out, waving him over. Luthor quickened his pace, and once he reached William, he clasped him on the shoulder.
"Hey, man!" Luthor enthusiastically greeted his friend William.
"It's been a long time," William said, a hint of nostalgia in his voice. He stepped back to take a good look at Luthor, noting how much had changed since they last saw each other.
Luthor grinned, clearly enjoying the reunion. "Too long, my friend," he replied, his tone warm and welcoming.
William studied Luthor for a moment before asking, "So, what brings you over here?"
Just hanging out with Gevherriz, I met her new friend. She's really cool! I wondered, would you dance with her? I think you two would hit it off."
William raised an eyebrow, intrigued but slightly hesitant. "Dance?"
"Come on! "It'll be fun," Luthor urged, a playful grin on his face.
William chuckled, the nostalgia fading as he considered the offer. "Alright, alright. I'll do it."
"That's the spirit!" Luthor exclaimed, clapping him on the shoulder.
Then Luthor gave the signal to his wife, Gevherriz.
Then Luthor pushes William towards the dance floor.
The other side of the ballroom is where Gevherriz, Lyanna, Şadiye, and Joren are.
Gevherriz stood with Lyanna, her eyes sparkling with excitement as she watched Luthor and William approach. When Luthor gave her the signal, she immediately understood what was about to happen.
"Come on, Lyanna! Let's demonstrate our skills to them! Gevherriz called out, her enthusiasm infectious.
Lyanna raised an eyebrow, intrigued but slightly hesitant. "Dance?"
"Come on! "It'll be fun," Gevherriz urged, a playful grin on her face as she nudged Lyanna forward.
Lyanna chuckled, nostalgia washing over her as she considered the offer. "Alright, alright. I'll do it."
"That's the spirit!" Gevherriz exclaimed.
Gevherriz exchanged a knowing smile with her friends—Şadiye and Joren—before she took Lyanna's hand. "Just trust me," she said, pulling her toward the dance floor.
