Then Lyanna looked out the window and saw a handsome young man outside. He stood at 6'1", with a slender build that gave him an elegant presence. His dark brown eyes seemed to sparkle in the sunlight, and his black hair framed his face perfectly. There was an air of confidence about him, and she couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in her chest as she took in his striking features.
Lyanna turned to Edith, her skepticism increasing. "Who is that young man outside?" she asked, her eyes still drawn to the handsome figure standing in the sunlight.
Edith smiled gently, her eyes glancing towards the young man outside. "That's William Vanderbilt," she replied, her voice warm with affection. "He's my adoptive son."
Lyanna's curiosity was piqued further, and she took a moment to absorb the information. "William Vanderbilt?" she echoed, a hint of surprise in her tone. "He certainly has a presence about him."
Edith nodded, pride evident in her expression. "Yes, he does. He's grown into a remarkable young man."
Lyanna continued to watch William, captivated by his charm. "What is he like?" she asked, eager to learn more about the young man who had caught her attention so completely.
Edith smiled, her eyes sparkling with admiration. "He's not only intelligent and ambitious, but he also has a kind heart. You should see how he interacts with everyone around him; it's as if he truly values each person's story."
Lyanna felt a flutter of excitement at Edith's words, imagining the warmth in his interactions. "It sounds like he truly is someone special," she replied, her curiosity growing stronger.
Edith nodded, her smile widening. "He really is. I've never met anyone quite like him, and I have a feeling you would get along wonderfully."
Lyanna couldn't help but feel a rush of anticipation at the thought of meeting him. "I can't wait to find out for myself," she said, her heart racing at the possibility of forming a connection with someone so extraordinary.
Edith leaned in closer, her eyes sparkling with excitement. "You'll get your chance tonight at the ball," she said. "William will be there, and I know you two will hit it off." Lyanna's heart fluttered at the thought.
"Really? I can't believe I'll finally meet him," she replied, her voice filled with enthusiasm. "What should I expect?"
Edith chuckled softly. "Just be yourself. He truly is someone special." With that, Lyanna felt a rush of anticipation, eager to see if the connection would indeed be as magical as Edith suggested.
"Okay," Lyanna said, her smile widening. "I'll just be myself and hope for the best."
Edith glanced at Lyanna, a playful smile dancing on her lips. "Are you ready to finish getting ready for the ball?" she asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
Lyanna nodded, her heart racing at the thought of the upcoming event. "Absolutely! Let's make sure I look my best," she replied, her enthusiasm growing as they began to gather the final touches for her outfit.
Edith nodded her head in agreement. "Agree. Let's finish getting you ready for the ball."
Lyanna nodded her head in agreement with Edith's statement. "Agree."
Meanwhile, at the Biltmore Estate Pavilion, Gerald Otter and William Vanderbilt were admiring the beauty of their surroundings. William's gaze was suddenly drawn to a beautiful woman in one of the bedroom windows inside the house. She had long brown hair that cascaded down her back, brown eyes that sparkled with life, and a pale complexion that contrasted beautifully with her dark hair. Standing at 5'4", she appeared graceful and poised, capturing William's full attention.
William turned to Gerald, his skepticism increasing. "Who is that woman in the bedroom window?" he asked, nodding toward the figure that had captivated him.
Gerald glanced over, a knowing smile crossing his face. "Ah, that's Lady Lyanna," he replied. "She's a close friend of your mother, Edith. Quite the enchanting sight, isn't she?" William nodded, still entranced by the woman's beauty and grace.
William turned to Gerald, his skepticism increasing. "When did Lady Lyanna arrive at the estate?" he inquired, still unable to take his eyes off the graceful figure in the window.
Gerald raised an eyebrow, his smile widening. "She arrived just this afternoon," he answered. "Your mother was eager for you to meet her." William nodded, feeling a mix of intrigue and anticipation as he continued to observe Lady Lyanna.
William then asked Gerald if Lyanna would be at the ball tonight.
Gerald chuckled softly, clearly enjoying William's interest. "Oh, she wouldn't miss it for the world," he replied. "The ball is the perfect occasion for her to showcase her beauty and charm."
William felt a surge of excitement at the thought, eager to finally meet the woman who had captivated his attention from his dreams for many years. "I see. Thank you, Gerald."
Gerald nodded his head in a manner typical of a loyal butler. "Of course, my lord."
Gerald then made his way into the house to finish preparations for the ball.
William couldn't believe Lyanna was actually here. He felt a surge of excitement at the thought, eager to finally meet the woman who had captivated his attention in his dreams for many years.
William then said to himself. "I can't believe you're actually here, Lyanna, and I hope we'll finally meet tonight. After all of the years of dreaming about you."
William then made his way into the house to get ready for the winter solstice ball tonight. He is eager to see what the night has in store for him and Lyanna.
