YUTA POV
Just as I stood there, frozen in confusion, a figure swooped in via a 3D maneuver gear, moving with incredible speed and agility. It was a man with a lean, short midnight black hair, athletic build and piercing gray eyes. He emerged from the shadows, wearing a scout Legion like uniform with a wolf like insignia on the back, his dual swords gleaming in the sunlight.
In one swift moment, the man struck down the gigantic, frozen Vampwolf, cutting off its head with ease, like he was slicing through a piece of butter.
The creature's body crumpled to the ground, its icy encasement shattering into a thousand pieces.
I stared at the mid aged man with great nonplussement, my mind reeling with questions. Who was this man? How did he move so quickly? how did he get so good with a sword? And what was with his uniform?
The man turned to me, his eyes narrowing as he took in my appearance. His eyes quickly turned from seriousness to annoyance.
He strode toward me, his movements swift and purposeful, and suddenly, he delivered a swift kick across my face, sending me crashing to the ground.
How he delivered that kick seemed to be a mystery to me. He was no taller that 5ft3 and I was at least 6ft3.
Either way his leg did pack a punch.
The impact was intense, and my senses were momentarily dulled. I felt a wave of pain wash over me, and my vision blurred. As I struggled to regain my composure, his voice echoed through the air.
"Get up," he barked, his tone venomous, his eyes a shade of predatorial red, "What were you thinking heading into battle without your superior? Didn't I tell you all to stand back?"
I slowly sat up, my eyes locking onto his imposing figure. My face throbbed with pain, but I forced myself to focus. Who was this man, and what did he want from me? Why was he so mad at me and what was the kick for?
As I gazed up at him, I couldn't help but notice the intimidating aura that seemed to radiate from him. His eyes seemed to bore into my very soul, as he replaced his swords in their hilts.
"I am speaking to you, answer me Yuji" He commanded, there by jogging back my senses.
"Who are you?" I asked, my voice shaking slightly as I tried to process the events that had just transpired.
The man's expression remained stoic, but a hint of curiosity flickered in his eyes. "Did I hit you so hard that you lost your memories Yuji. I'm Kento Okazaki," he replied, his voice firm. "You teacher"
"My teacher???" I mutter in utter confusion, my head aching with a thousand more thoughts. Was there something I was missing. Who the hell was this Yuji he spoke of and how was this violent person ever a teacher in the first place.
I hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal, how was I supposed to tell him that I was a person from another world trapped in the body of this Yuji person. I opened my mouth to speak but before any words could come out. A group of teenagers hurried towards me. They were all wearing some type of uniform similar to that of Kento, and were lead by a cute, blonde hair fellow with blue eyes, who was is tears.
The minute fellow ran towards me in a pool of his own tears, mucus dripping from his nostrils as he pulled me into a hug.
"Yuji, I was so scared that something bad happened to you" He cried for me, like I was someone very important to him, "Don't even make me worry like that again, okay"
His show of affection made my heart hurt and in an instant a flit of memories rushed into my brain, but those memories weren't mine , there were of a certain Yuji Mitsuya, the second prince of Ember nest and the guy hugging me was one of my two best friends, Akira Katsuragi. We were all students of Royal Vampwolf Elimination Academy (RVEA), and today was supposed to be our first day on the field after a month of intense training at RVEA.
If my memories serve right, I appeared to have been separated from the gang. It seems someone has called me away from the lot but I couldn't recall the face, nor the person's voice, all I remember was him or her was putting on a uniform similar to that of the students standing before me.
After that it appears, I had been ambushed by someone and killed.
My blood ran cold upon that revelation, apparently the real Yuji was dead and I was a fake. What was I supposed to do? I couldn't play Yuji's life, what if the person who tried to kill him comes after me?
Just then Taro Ryujin, my other best friend stepped forward, a confident look on his face as he pulled Akira to his feet by the collar.
"Pull yourself together Akira, Yuji is fine, thanks to my awesome ice magic" The said and my world stopped spinning.
I didn't have magic powers, Aria lied to me. I would have been dead if it wasn't for Taro.
Realizing that if it wasn't for Taro I would have been dead the second time, brought tears to my eyes.
"Yuji don't cry. Taro didn't mean to offend you" Akira beseeched me in a state of utter panic but I couldn't help it, I needed to cry the tension away.
"Stop creating a scene. You guys are too old for this" Kento said rolling his eyes from boredom. His gaze lingered on us for a moment before he turned and began walking away.
"We'll discuss your punishment later," he said. "First, we need to get out of here. This isn't a safe place. Everyone pick up your gears and let's leave"
All the other students quietly followed his orders and began walking away. Taro offered me a hand, a big smile etched his face, as he said "Pull yourself together champ. Let's go."
"Yes Yuji, let's go everyone is leaving" Akira supposed, lending out a hand of his own.
I felt a surge of uncertainty. Could I really trust them? But something about their actions seemed to suggest that they were genuinely trying to help me.
Skeptical, I wiped off my tears and I took their hands, and they both pulled me to my feet. As I stood up, I couldn't help but feel a sense of trepidation. What lay ahead? How was I supposed to navigate this new world all on my own.
I, Taro, and Akira hopped on our horses, and quickly rode down to the most magnificent building I had ever seen. It was a gigantic black castle surrounded by a gigantic 20 meter walls.
As soon as we got into our dorms, we were ordered to freshen up, but apparently Kento had other plans for me, cause as soon as I stepped out of my dorm, I was confronted by a furious Kento.
He pulled out his swords and said in a cold tone, "Come with me, immediately"
With that one statement my hair stood on ends. It was obvious that I was in big trouble, a trouble that I couldn't avoid.
So much for a peaceful first day in another world.
