Moonlight bathed the ocean in silver. A cool night wind swept across the waves, making the vast sea glitter like a field of stars.
Then, without warning, the surface rippled—and a massive, ancient dragon head emerged, silent and majestic.
The calm sea churned violently under the weight of its presence.
That colossal skull was only a fraction of the beast. Beneath the waves, an immense body lay coiled like an underwater mountain range.
"I haven't been on land in a long time. Living in the sea... I seem to forgotten how to breathe with lungs."
Silver-white scales shimmered like shattered moonlight, and a natural, awe-inspiring pressure radiated from the creature's body, sending surrounding sea life into a panicked frenzy.
This mighty dragon... was Jack.
Unbelievable as it might seem, a full year had passed since his rebirth.
Jack had now lived twelve months in this new life.
The first ten were spent imprisoned in the confines of Jurassic World.
Monotony ruled his days—no battles, no challenges—just silent growth, hiding strength, and accumulating genetic points while biding his time.
Then came the upheaval. In just two months, everything changed.
The rampage of dinosaurs shook the world.
The Jurassic Alliance was formed. Behemoths clashed.
Jack led a new wave of evolution, fought off human warships, left Nublar Island to train, and even brought down ancient marine beasts.
His legend was growing.
But deep down, Jack knew—this was only the beginning.
The monsterverse had far more in store. What he had faced was just the prelude.
Then he felt it.
A subtle shift in the water. A presence.
Jack's telepathic perception—now at Level 3—blanketed a radius of nearly a hundred miles.
It picked up disturbances immediately.
And now, something large was moving toward him. Fast. Silent. Purposeful.
It wasn't a coincidence.
Whoever it was, they were coming for him.
"Trying to ambush me, huh?" he muttered to himself.
He held still, masking his aura.
Calm. Neutral. Pretending not to notice.
From the dark abyss of the deep, the figure approached like a phantom.
And then—he saw it.
A massive, twisted shape with writhing limbs and a grotesque beak.
"Octopus?!"
Recognition struck like lightning.
That monstrous octopus—straight out of the old movie Deep Rising.
Jack remembered watching it as a child. The terror. The paranoia.
He used to fear using the bathroom, convinced a slimy tentacle would grab him from the toilet bowl.
That creature had haunted his childhood.
And now it was here, real, alive.
But things had changed.
Jack wasn't a frightened child anymore.
He was a dragon.
And more importantly, this thing… was genetic points on a silver platter.
A sudden crash of water shattered the calm as the octopus struck first, tentacles shooting out like harpoons.
Jack barely twisted in time, one of the slimy appendages slamming into his armored side with enough force to rattle the bones beneath his scales.
He roared, the sound echoing through the deep.
Tentacles wrapped around him like constricting snakes.
The strength was terrifying—even for him. He thrashed, silver scales scraping and flashing in the dark.
A second tentacle curled around his throat, another squeezed his tail, dragging him downward into the crushing depths.
"Not bad..." Jack growled, his golden eyes narrowing.
"But not good enough."
His tail lashed out violently, tearing through the water like a guillotine.
One tentacle snapped off, spurting dark purple ichor. But the octopus didn't retreat.
It only grew more savage, latching on tighter, pulling Jack toward a trench so deep it swallowed the light.
Jack snarled and bit down on a flailing limb, tearing it clean.
He gathered energy in his chest, his inner core burning like a furnace.
[Sonic Pulse]
With a deep, earth-shaking growl, he fired.
A beam of searing sonic wave tore through the water, hurling the octopus and splitting the sea apart with deafening force.
The beast shrieked in a high-pitched screech that vibrated through the water.
But it was still alive.
It was madder.
The Octalus spun wildly, ink clouding the sea like smoke.
In the darkness, it struck again—blades hidden in its tentacles slashing at Jack's wings.
He roared in fury as one sharp edge pierced a thinner scale, drawing blood.
Pain flared.
Real pain.
He hadn't felt that in a long time.
This was no pushover.
Jack's eyes gleamed.
"Good. Finally… something worth fighting."
With a thunderous beat of his wings, he surged forward, claws slashing and fangs bared.
The sea boiled as they collided again, ancient beast versus mythic leviathan, locked in a battle that shook the trench floor.
The next moment, dozens of thick tentacles suddenly lashed out, creating violent ripples that radiated across the sea like shockwaves.
Each limb moved with eerie precision, twisting and thrashing like monstrous, hundred-meter-long sea serpents converging on Jack's position.
The Octalus wasn't just attacking—it was hunting.
Each of its tentacles housed an independent secondary brain and sensory system, allowing them to act semi-autonomously.
They could detect prey through vibration, touch, and sound.
Agile, intelligent, and terrifyingly strong—once caught in their grip, even a creature like Jack could be in serious danger.
"Too slow."
Jack's voice echoed in his mind, cold and composed.
The mantis shrimp gene in his body didn't just grant him overwhelming striking power—it enhanced his nervous system to an entirely different level.
His reflexes were now operating on millisecond timing.
To him, the storm of incoming tentacles was like a slow-motion dance.
Not because the octopus was weak.
But because he was faster.
"Swish! Swish! Swish!!"
In an instant, Jack exploded into motion.
His muscles surged with energy, the bio-electric organs along his body pulsing as arcs of lightning sparked across his scales.
His steel scythe-like claws crackled with blue electricity, deadly and precise.
The electric ray gene had evolved.
He could now manipulate electricity with brute force and surgical finesse, wielding it in wide arcs or focusing it on a razor point.
