Chapter 79
***sarah POV***
"I will see you later!" Hyun min said and I stood there,Hyun Min's retreating figure dissolved into the throng of students,. The sudden "Bang!" of a book dropping from the shelf startled me, and I spun around to face a girl I had never seen before. Her eyes sparkled with an insatiable curiosity as she emerged from between the towering book shelves, her bright smile illuminating the quiet atmosphere of the library.
"Who are you?" I asked, my heart racing in my chest like a jackrabbit.
"I'm Madison," she replied, her voice melodious and warm. "I was browsing through some books when I saw you talking to that guy. Are you two friends?" Her gaze lingered on me, expectant and probing.
My hand instinctively flew to my head as I muttered, "Oh my god," my mind reeling with the implications of her question. I couldn't help but notice the way Madison's eyes lit up when she mentioned Hyun Min, like a spark of electricity had passed through her very being. It seemed she was captivated by him, and I couldn't blame her –he was good looking.
"Yeah, we know each other," I said, trying to sound nonchalant despite the turmoil brewing inside me. "What about you? Are you a fan of...him?" I asked, raising an eyebrow inquisitively.
Madison's cheeks flushed a deep shade of crimson, and she looked away, her voice barely above a whisper. "Well, who wouldn't be? He's...fascinating." I chuckled, sensing a hint of admiration in her tone, like a whispered secret shared between us.
As I turned to leave, the Madison girl's sudden movement brought me to a halt. Her eyes blazed with an unrelenting passion, a fervor that seemed almost manic. "I won't rest until he's mine," she declared, her voice dripping with a dreamy sincerity that only served to heighten my skepticism.
I raised an eyebrow, my gaze lingering on hers as I asked, "You're determined to stake your claim, huh? Don't you know where to find him?" My tone was laced with a subtle amusement, but beneath it, a thread of tension began to weave its way through our exchange.
The girl's gaze narrowed, her eyes flashing with a competitive spark that hinted at a deeper intensity. "You seem to know him rather... intimately," she said, her voice tinged with accusation, as if proximity was a crime.
My anger simmered, the heat rising to a boil as I demanded, "What gives you the right to question me?" My words were laced with irritation, but the girl's face reddened only to be replaced by a stubborn resolve.
"Help me" she said, her voice firm, a challenge ringing clear. "I want him..help me."
I cut her off, my voice cold, a warning note echoing through the air. "Don't bother me again," I said, before turning on my heel and striding away, leaving her standing alone in the wake of my departure..

As I stepped out of the library I walked forward, only to be brought back to reality by a sudden collision. Racy Lion stood before me, a mischievous glint dancing in her eyes, leaving me wondering if the collision was accidental or a deliberate act.
"What is it, Racy Tiger?" I asked, my voice tinged with a mixture of amusement and exasperation.
A spark of indignation flashed across her face, and she corrected me with a hint of pride, "It's Racy Lion, not Tiger."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued by her sudden defensiveness. "What do you want this time?" I asked, my tone a blend of curiosity and wariness.
Racy's expression transformed, her features softening as she gazed up at me with an unmistakable sincerity. "Please be my friend," she whispered, her voice laced with a vulnerable honesty. "I really like you."
My eyebrow arched higher, surprise etched on my face as.
Racy's eyes sparkled with amusement as she chuckled, the sound husky and endearing. "Let's get one thing straight..I am not gay" she declared, her voice laced with a hint of defiance. I met her gaze, my expression a mask of innocence. "Did I say otherwise?" I asked, my tone light and casual.
Racy's smile still played on her lips as she raised an eyebrow. "You didn't need to," she said, her voice tinged with a knowing quality. "Your eyes betrayed your thoughts." She paused, her expression turning serious, her gaze locking onto mine with an unnerving intensity. "I want us to be friends, nothing more," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
I raised an eyebrow, skepticism etched on my face. "Are you planning on dragging me kicking and screaming into friendship?" I asked, my tone laced with a mixture of curiosity and amusement. Racy's face fell, and she shook her head, her shoulders slumping in defeat. "No, nothing like that," she said, her voice small. "I just thought...it doesn't matter."
I studied her for a moment, my expression unreadable. Then, I spoke, my voice firm but polite. "I appreciate the offer, but I'm not interested in pursuing a friendship," I said, the words hanging in the air like a challenge.
As I turned to leave, the crowd parted like a curtain, revealing Chuchu and her entourage. Their presence commanded attention, drawing in the surrounding students like a magnet. I stood my ground, curiosity piqued as I wondered what drama was about to unfold.
Chuchu's eyes blazed with fury as she stalked towards me. "You seem to think I'm all talk," she spat, her voice venomous. "But I've been watching you, and I know exactly what you're up to."
I raised an eyebrow, my voice rising in response. "And what exactly am I supposed to be doing?" I asked, my tone laced with skepticism.
Chuchu's gaze narrowed, her eyes flashing with malice. "Don't play dumb," she sneered. "I know all about your little conversation with Hyun Min. What were you discussing, hmm?"
I smiled, a sudden understanding dawning on me. "Ah, I see," I said, my voice dripping with sarcasm. "You're seething with jealousy because he chose to talk to me instead of you. How...flattering."
Chuchu's face contorted in rage, her hand flying towards me in a swift arc. But before it could make contact, Racy caught her wrist, holding it in a firm grip. "That's enough," Racy said, her voice low and even.
Chuchu's voice dripped with venom as she spat, "And who do you think you are?" Racy's gaze never wavered, her eyes locked onto Chuchu's face as she dropped her hand. "It's enough," she repeated, her voice a low, even tone that commanded attention.
Chuchu's laughter was a melodramatic, almost theatrical sound, laced with contempt and mockery. "How dare you!" she exclaimed, her face twisted in indignation as she charged towards Racy with swift, aggressive movements.
But Racy was a calm within the storm, her movements fluid and calculated as she sidestepped Chuchu's attack. With a swift, precise motion, she delivered a kick that sent Chuchu flying across the room. The students parted instinctively, their faces a mix of shock and fascination, as Chuchu's body dropped to the floor with a resounding thud.
