Chapter 65 - Chapter 65: The End of the Generals

"What should we do?" Sengoku looked helplessly at the others.

"It's simple. We just fire Kizaru. One Admiral less won't make any difference at this point." Commander Kong didn't feel threatened at all—he immediately threw Kizaru under the bus.

"Isn't that a little… extreme?" Sengoku hesitated slightly.

"Nah, let's just go through with it. That guy's been wanting to quit anyway. He's been dreaming of forming an adventuring party to hunt for the Grand Treasure. Kuzan and Akainu are thinking the same thing," Sengoku nonchalantly dropped a bombshell—turns out all three Navy Admirals were ready to quit and go treasure hunting.

"I swear I'm going to kill them," muttered Garp, his face dark as thunder. Sengoku's words hit him like a truck—those three idiots wanted to ditch their jobs? Did they think he wasn't strong enough to beat some sense into them?

"What the hell is this? Are you guys trying to disband the Navy altogether?" Hermione, who had been listening to them chatter, couldn't hold it in anymore and blurted out. Without warning, the four of them launched a coordinated strike on Kuzan.

"Why me?! I didn't even say anything!" Kuzan panicked and tried to dodge, but still got hit by two spells, instantly losing half his health.

"You're just the easiest to kill—now get him!" Dumbledore snapped back, then somehow pulled a massive wand out of nowhere and swung it at Garp as he charged in.

"What the hell?! What kind of wizard fights like this?" Garp stared in disbelief as he felt Dumbledore's raw strength. Was this guy even a real wizard?

"I've been reading up. It says a wizard who can't fight melee is a terrible tank. So now I'm a battle mage! DEMACIA!" Dumbledore shouted wildly. His strength surged again, and he sent Garp flying with one brutal swing.

Behind him, Professors McGonagall and Snape twitched at the corners of their eyes. This wasn't the Dumbledore they remembered. The kind, wise old man was now rampaging like a berserker, leaving them emotionally exhausted.

Ever since they joined the Guild, they'd been reading books and watching videos, learning all sorts of modern knowledge. But ever since Dumbledore picked up some weird books, his personality had completely changed. For example, during his conflict with the Ministry of Magic, the old Dumbledore might've chosen diplomacy. But this new version? He smashed right through them—beating down Ministers, senior officials, and even the elite Aurors. The Ministry now didn't dare challenge him at all.

McGonagall and Snape exchanged a glance and silently launched an attack on Commander Kong and Garp. As for Kuzan—Hermione would take care of him.

"Never thought I'd be the one bullying a kid," Kuzan muttered, staring at Hermione. His words were casual, but he stayed on high alert. No one knew what her skills were, and a surprise move could be deadly—especially since his HP was already low.

Suddenly, two ice spears shot from his hands toward her.

"Fire Shield!"

Hermione didn't dare take any risks—her HP was even lower. A ring of flames sprang up around her, instantly melting the incoming spears.

"Transfiguration!"

Hermione flicked her wand, sending a spell flying at Kuzan.

He flashed to the side, trying to dodge, but the spell curved mid-air and struck him squarely. With a puff of smoke, he turned into a dopey-looking bird.

"What the hell…?" Kuzan was stunned. Just as he was about to look up at Hermione—

A bolt of lightning filled his vision.

Kuzan: Game Over.

"Looks like my ultimate move's pretty badass—Transfiguration! Not bad at all," Hermione said proudly. It had a 100% hit rate, turned the target into an animal, dropped their defense to zero for three seconds—perfect for burst damage mages.

"Eat my fist!" Garp caught the stick that had smacked him in the face and roared as he lunged at Dumbledore.

"Bring it on!" Dumbledore bellowed back. His robes exploded off, revealing sculpted muscles underneath, and he met Garp's punch head-on.

"Buddha's Wrath!" Sengoku activated his ultimate move. His body turned red, blazing with the fury and power of battle. Even Buddha could get angry! He launched his strongest energy blast straight at McGonagall.

"Can't you be more of a gentleman? CRUSH!"

McGonagall refused to back down. She couldn't block the attack, but she'd make sure to take a piece of Sengoku with her.

As expected, she was eliminated by the blow. Sengoku, though, was left with only 1/10 of his HP.

"We finally won—" Sengoku sighed in relief, only for a bolt of lightning to shoot at him from behind, easily finishing him off.

"Professor McGonagall…" Hermione arrived too late, heartbroken. If she had just come a bit earlier, maybe the professor wouldn't have died.

"Pull yourself together. Let's go help Professor Snape," she said firmly and ran toward his location.

"Heaven-Cracking Nine Strikes!"

Kong and Snape were both low on HP. Snape was completely out of spells and about to fall.

"Transfiguration!"

Hermione arrived just in time, turning Kong into a cow and interrupting his ultimate attack.

"Blazing Inferno!"

"Lightning Destruction!"

Snape and Hermione cast their spells in perfect sync, eliminating Kong.

"Perfect timing," Snape gave her a rare compliment.

"Don't get too happy—we still need to help Professor Dumbledore," Hermione warned, sprinting off.

By the time they reached the battlefield, Dumbledore had vanished. Garp sat on a rock, gloomily smoking a cigarette.

"So… Professor Dumbledore lost?" Hermione asked cautiously.

Garp glanced at her and muttered, "Yeah, he's dead. But I wish I was. That lunatic… what kind of wizard fights like that?! I almost lost to a melee mage. It's a damn disgrace."

As he spoke, his eyes reddened. He knew the game wasn't reality, but as a high-damage warrior, the fact that he nearly lost in close combat to a wizard made him question everything.

Then, to Hermione and Snape's utter shock, he picked up a rock, smashed it against his own head, and eliminated himself from the game.

Garp couldn't take the humiliation—he'd rather die.

"What do I even say to that…" Hermione was speechless.

"Let's go. There are only a few players left. We've got a real shot at winning this," Snape said, shaking his head and putting Garp's tragic end behind him.

The finals were about to begin.
