Around her, the six Moon Wolves grew paler as their energy flowed into her body. Elder Thompson's aged face was already starting to look like old paper.
"Stop this!" she screamed, but her voice came out strange and wild. "I don't want your power!"
"The prophecy has begun," Elder Thompson whispered. "You cannot stop what was written in the stars."
Dorian's shouting grew louder. The silver chain blazed brighter. Aria could feel his spell pulling at everyone's life force - werewolves, vampires, even the Wraith of Vengeance that still lurked in the shadows.
Twenty seconds left.
The triplets changed back to human form, their eyes wide with terror as they watched silver light pour into Aria's skin. She was shining so bright now that looking at her hurt.
"Aria, fight it!" Caleb shouted, pushing his hand against the bleeding claw marks on his chest.
"I'm trying!"
