KODA'S POV
I woke to gentle shaking and opened my eyes to find Mira standing beside my bed, her face creased with concern.
"Your Highness," she said quietly. "His Majesty requests your presence at the family breakfast."
I sat up, running a hand through my hair. The remnants of my dream still clung to me like smoke, and I could feel the heat in my cheeks. "Family breakfast? It's been months since he's asked for that."
"I believe it has something to do with the presence of the Elder Prince," Mira explained, moving to open the curtains. Sunlight streamed into my chambers, making me squint. "He will be making an appearance, and perhaps your father wants you there because you are the only bridge of peace between the two of them."
I groaned and fell back onto my pillows. The last thing I wanted was to sit through another tense meal with my father and grandfather glaring at each other across the table. "One of the Lunas is supposed to see me today."
"Which one?"
