Kurohane paused, then looked very seriously at Thor, who had been rooted to the spot, silent as a statue.
"Thor, do you know you have a sister?"
Thor frowned. His heartbreak over Loki was too immense, and it was natural for him not to be able to escape it for a while.
"NO." Thor's voice was barely a whisper.
"Exactly, you actually have a sister!"
Kurohane pointed at the female Loki on Tony Stark's phone and said with an unusually serious expression, "If there's a civil disturbance in Asgard, I hope it doesn't affect our Earth. That woman's appearance is exactly the same as Loki's; she must have genuine Asgardian royal blood. If there's a struggle for the throne later, don't forget to call me. I just want to watch the world."
Thor: (expression of extreme confusion). Something's not right! Since when did I have a sister?!
Thor rubbed his eyes again. Although he only saw her through the screen, as her brother, he could recognize the scent of the mischievous god on the female Loki with just a glance.
Kurohane sighed deeply. There were too many unexpected situations today.
"In short, things are getting weirder. We need to go to Stark Tower immediately. Captain, give the hammer back to Thor. We need his strength now."
Steve Rogers hesitated for a moment, his eyes on the still-confused Thor, but still said nothing. He handed Mjolnir to Thor. Thor couldn't help but let out a silly laugh as he held the hammer, as if all his mental burdens had lifted instantly.
"Hehehe, Kurohane, right? Why are you willing to give the hammer back to me?"
"Because frankly, with your personality, always being deceived by others, if you wanted to conquer Earth, you'd start fighting the moment you arrived on Earth. You wouldn't use any tactics," Kurohane explained, grinning. "Now I believe you came from Asgard to stop Loki out of love for him. But for you, the biggest punishment for Loki is to take him back to Asgard, and then let Odin judge him, right?"
"Right." Thor nodded firmly.
"To minimize the problems caused by Loki, quickly take the hammer and retrieve the Cosmic Cube! If you can't get the Cosmic Cube back, discussing anything else now is just a waste of breath."
Thor quickly agreed with Kurohane's viewpoint. As long as there wasn't a large-scale alien army attacking Earth, the damage caused by Loki himself wasn't too significant, not even as bad as when he fought the Destroyer armor last time. Last time, an entire small town was reduced to rubble. Fortunately, no human lives were lost, otherwise, in Kurohane's eyes, who strongly disliked Aliens, he wouldn't have just taken Mjolnir.
"Oh, and one more thing, when you can return to Asgard, remember to retrieve Odin's scattered fine notices and the detailed list of compensation for rebuilding that small town." Kurohane rummaged in his Space Ring and pulled out two crisp, stamped papers. They detailed the time and place, as well as the cost list for rebuilding the small town.
Thor took them and glanced at them, then found that the documents stated Odin had thrown two pieces of trash onto Earth. They were the big, silly blonde man and Mjolnir, which had smashed a big hole in the ground!
"Mjolnir is not trash!" Thor immediately began to defend Mjolnir, completely ignoring the problem of the big, silly man. His eyes widened.
Everyone present couldn't help but slap their foreheads in frustration. They all doubted whether Thor was truly Thor, because compared to Thor, the current Thor's appearance was more like a God of Hammers!
"Is this the time to be discussing this? Female Loki is about to open a portal over there!" Tony was the most anxious person present because the location where the portal opened was his group's building!
Kurohane, on the other hand, looked like nothing was happening, just smiling at the silly Thor!
"You're at least a shareholder of Stark Industries, don't smile so happily! What's the point if Stark Tower is destroyed?" Tony exclaimed, slightly annoyed.
After thinking for a moment, Kurohane sat calmly at the conference table, his expression turning serious.
"Everyone, please be seated. There are a few things I'd like to ask you. Oh, and the bald criminal suspect, sit down too. Some things have to do with you." He pointed at Jasper Sitwell.
For some reason, Kurohane spoke with considerable influence. Everyone sat down in chairs, regardless of who they were. Nick Fury extended the silver handcuffs on his wrists, indicating that he had been arrested and had the right to remain silent.
"It's fine if you don't want to talk, just listen quietly." Kurohane also didn't want to talk much with Nick Fury. He just needed to throw some big scapegoats at him later. As for whether it would destroy Nick Fury, that wasn't included in Kurohane's consideration.
"First, the issue of law enforcement authority." Kurohane began, his gaze sweeping across the room. "Tony and Captain, are you two national law enforcement personnel? This country has given you the right to protect yourselves, but can your actions represent the United States? Or do you think you can never be used as a shield by those politicians?"
Kurohane was right. None of them could keep their identities secret. One was Iron Man, who admitted his identity, and the other was Captain America, who had a commemorative museum. As long as they dared to appear on the streets of New York, someone would definitely recognize them.
Steve frowned. He thought Kurohane's words made a lot of sense. He was very patriotic but didn't love the government. He had seen the faces of politicians far too often!
"But we can't let the Cosmic Cube open a portal and let an alien army attack Earth!" Steve insisted, his tone full of principle.
"Why not?" Kurohane was so calm, as if not only New York, but even the entire Earth collapsing had nothing to do with him!
"The Cosmic Cube was researched by S.H.I.E.L.D., and because of that research, Loki was drawn in. The entire alien army was attracted, and all of this was arranged by the U.S. government. They secretly researched Nazi German Hydra weapons back then, and the person responsible for this project," Kurohane paused, then pointed at Nick Fury, his voice piercing.
"There's Nick Fury, standing there, refusing to sit down." Kurohane first firmly laid this burden on Nick Fury. Even if Aliens invaded later, causing huge losses to New York, the U.S. government behind S.H.I.E.L.D. had to take responsibility!
It was at this moment that Nick Fury realized Kurohane was truly targeting him!!! His eyes narrowed dangerously.
"Why should we clean up a mess for a troublemaker? And on a voluntary, unpaid basis?" Kurohane continued, his voice full of sarcasm. "Come on, that idea is too un-American. If we don't charge a fee, can this matter be trusted? If there's no government commission, aren't we using illegal force?"
Steve also felt something was off. Why did Kurohane feel like he was turning into a greedy villain?
"We don't need to participate in this kind of thing at all. The Cosmic Cube? Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D. members will take it!"
"Alien invasion, of course, the U.S. military will handle it. What does it have to do with us?"
"Kurohane, aren't you a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent?" Steve asked, confused.
Kurohane snorted. "Risking your life for a few thousand dollars a month? What kind of life is that!" His tone was cynical, as if he was truly questioning the essence of selfless heroism. His words hung in the air, provoking thought among the Avengers about their motivations and roles in the coming chaos.
