"And… cut!"
The director's voice echoed through the entire set and for a second, everyone was silent until chaos and screams and cheers erupted.
Some were clapping, some were shouting for joy, some applauded, some even threw confetti.
I was frozen for a beat, still taking in my surroundings. Christopher's influence had just worn off and I was still getting used to where I was.
It was over. It was finally over.
"Holy shit," I breathed as I ran my two hands through my hair. "We actually did it."
I managed to trick my way into my first comeback movie, and now, with the end of the movie, I had no reason to get involved with Christopher anymore.
If I ever do get another acting gig, I'd have to practice a lot before I can accept it.
We locked eyes for a bit at everyone around us celebrated but he broke contact and walked away. I smiled to myself as I also slowly walked off the set as everyone hugged and shouted.
