As we stepped on down into the dungeon it really felt like a dungeon, the kind you'd see in an old castle or something, though as the further you went through it became more cave like.
At the beginning there were no monsters, wasn't surprising as the first floor had so many adventurers in it at this time that monsters were basically killed as they spawned, so we moved onto the second floor which was larger than the first and less adventurers were around at the moment.
*Crack Crack Crack*
The sound of the walls beginning to crack around us could be heard before monsters slowly fell out from within them.
What appeared were hunched over dog headed monsters who looked towards me before baring their fangs and then launching themselves right at me.
But as they were as predictable as yesterdays weather along with having the intelligence of a brick relying on instinct alone, it wasn't even a challenge to not only dodge these Kolbolds but I simultaneously severed their heads from their bodies with one swing each.
Soon the five Kolbolds lay dead before me as their bodies turned to ash where only their heads and a tiny magic stone remained.
"Wait, why did all the heads you cut off remain and not dissolve when they were killed?" Finn couldn't help but ask as he was only here to watch me go through my first run in the dungeon and IF needed to protect me as well.
"Why? It's because they are material aren't they? Don't monsters drop things on death besides magic stones?" I asked before I reached towards the heads and magic stones.
"Well of course they are very- what was that?" He asked as he suddenly saw the heads and stones that got within reach of my hands only to completely disappear from sight.
"What? It's just my inventory that holds all of my materials…. Wait, that's not normal in this world is it?" I ask after seeing the look on his face.
He put his hand on his face before taking a deep breath and looking at me seriously, "No, it isn't, it's extremely rare for someone to have a spatial inventory and the only other substitute are magic bags created in the magic capital of the country of Altena, and not only do they cost hundreds of millions of vallis the size is only roughly the space of a wagon from what I have heard." Finn explained to me as he watched me put everything away in my inventory.
He stared at me to which I could only shrug, "I have no clue how large the inventory is, the amount of materials I can own is functionally infinite, however that's for materials, food and miscellaneous items, but if it's warframes, weapons, and companions then I only have limited space for those." I went onto explain to him how my inventory worked.
I could personally hold onto 5 Warframes, 10 Weapons, and 5 Companions, but anything else is infinite such as materials, money, and miscellaneous things that can go into my inventory.
However for Warframes in Particular I need to return home in order to change into a different one it seems, like how the arsenal worked in the game, but I can access all the weapons at anytime if I want to.
I would be able to extend the number of Warframe, Weapon and Companion slots with the use of Premium currency but that's not available to me in this world thus that's my limit.
However I can make Warframes and give them to those who are either gods/goddesses or are over level 4, same goes for weapons and companions but there's no level restriction when it comes to that and as such I can provide those to everyone in my Familia and maybe sell them off to those outside the familia for profit, but that's for later.
"Do you not know how amazing that is? Even if there's a limit on your weapons and Warframes you can hold, having the ability to hold major supplies like food, items and materials it would make it easier for us when we dive further into the dungeon together." He went onto explain to me.
"Huh, never thought of it that way, then again my inventory is second nature to me, it's just a shame I only have access to the Foundry and Mods, there were plenty of other things that were helpful to have back in my world that would be great to have here." I say as we move on into the dungeon while I cut down more Kobolds and take their heads and magic stones.
"…. I got to ask, why are you collecting there heads? The important parts are their nails when it comes to selling their materials." Finn couldn't help but ask me as I gathered and stowed away my 20th Kolbold head.
"Really? Huh, well I need the heads to help with the creation of a Warframe is all, need 500 Kolbold heads and 100 Hellhound heads as some of the materials, turns out every Warframe needs monster materials to create them, same for stronger and more powerful weapons that I can make as well." I go onto explain as I gathered the Kolbold heads for the possible future creation of Voruna, The Houndmaster Warframe.
But this was more of my ingrained mindset from playing Warframe so much made it automatic to harvest these monster parts, but as these were parts that only mattered to me I think my skills revolving around my Foundry makes it possible for me to farm these specific parts.
Every monster, for the most part, had monster parts that were to be used in creating better warframes and weapons as a result thus leading down the cycle that any Warframe Player would know, and that being the Grind.
'Sucks I have no access to the shop or else I'd at least try to find a way to increase the capacity of my inventory for weapons and Warframes as a result.' I couldn't help but think as we head on down into the third floor.
Most monsters on the upper floors weren't even remotely a threat to me, then again these monsters were both simple and weak along with the fact the Warframe handed to me was my original one which was already max level, though without my rare mods unfortunately.
Still a level thirty Warframe, since max rank for Warframes is Level thirty, has all their powers right off the bat and all abilities are maxed, and because of my Warframes strength I could cause a level 4 to step back from a full powered attack showing the power this frame has now.
And knowing power gain in this world is exponential at that if I had to give a comparison would be that each level in this world is equivalent to a level 50 to level 100 enemy in the world of Warframe and I would say that Noir is somewhere around the low to mid 300's if I had to give an example.
He kicked my ass sure but mods can completely change the strength and power of a Warframe and with powerful weapons on top of that, especially messing with the status chance, critical chance and critical damage, even a level thirty Warframe could kill level 9,999, the max rank enemies that could possibly spawn in the game, with the proper builds.
And while these monsters were level 1, their strength is similar to enemies of around level 5 to level 10 in the Warframe Universe, and enemies at that level when up against a Warframe with decently good weapons can be taken down in one shot, so you know, right now nothing was a threat to me.
But with every kill I could feel something within me slowly get stronger as I began to gain strength unlike my already maxed out Warframe.
The Excelia of this world, which is basically xp, was flowing into me and gradually increasing my own personal strength and power at the same time.
While the Grind was tedious in games, when it came to real life and gaining quantifiable strength? It was all worth it.
So now I wanted to see how far I could go here in the dungeon before returning back home.
