By the time Jake descended from the top floor, it was almost 10 p.m. Today had been an eventful day for him.
Yakov had finished his phone call and was chatting and laughing with Mia and Taylor. When he saw Jake coming down, he gave his daughter a meaningful look.
Mia immediately went over and linked arms with Jake. Yakov, understanding his wife's personality and having been raised under strict discipline himself, didn't press Jake to stay. Instead, he gestured for his daughter to see him out.
