CH74 Rune Slots and Slot Capacity

In hindsight, Alex cursed himself the entire time the Rune grafting was happening.
What a dumb idea.
"Happy birthday, Alex," he muttered bitterly in his head. "Hope you enjoy your gift of searing agony."
The process dragged on for a brutal twenty minutes before it finally ended.
The Rune Tattoo now rested neatly on the right side of his torso, just above the ribs. Alex chanted the finishing bind spell, connecting the newly grafted slot to his energy channels.
The Rune shimmered faintly in golden light—its activation complete.
Alex didn't even bother to check for efficiency or resonance. He simply dragged his exhausted body to bed and collapsed into sleep.
Even as he drifted off, he was still cussing himself for picking today, of all days, to gift himself a new Rune.
Some birthday.
He only woke up around noon.
