Su Chen tapped on the dragon-shaped icon in his system storage, then closed his eyes, preparing himself to comprehend the techniques.
Swish—
A surge of knowledge flooded into his mind. There was no gradual realization, no peaceful meditation—just a direct and overwhelming transfer, like lightning carving ancient runes into his soul.

Each technique was detailed—ruthless, ancient, and profound. From cultivation method to battle application, the information was complete. The sheer depth of the techniques exuded an unfathomable power, revealing just how terrifying the true dragon bloodline truly was.
As the knowledge settled into place, Su Chen remained seated within the Immortal Pond, silently digesting the flood of information. Around him, an illusory dragon shadow coiled slowly, flickering in and out of existence.
He had no idea how much time passed—minutes, hours, or perhaps an entire day. Eventually, his eyes opened.
"Huff… damn, that was hard."
His voice was hoarse, laced with exhaustion. "Learning high-level techniques like these… is no joke."
He rubbed his temples with a tired expression and muttered, "Fortunately, the system implanted everything directly into my mind. If I had to comprehend this the old-fashioned way, even with my Innate Sacred Dao Fetus physique and its so-called heaven-defying comprehension… it would've taken at least a month."
He stood up, stretching his limbs, his joints softly popping.
"I should test these techniques… but before that—"
His gaze sharpened.
"Let's see what this 'Eternal Immortal Wind' is all about. The system wouldn't shut up about it—so let's hope it lives up to the hype."
With a thought, the Immortal Rebirth Armor appeared on his body. Even if the system claimed all the treasures were pre-refined, Su Chen wasn't arrogant enough to be careless. When it came to primordial forces, caution was the only sensible path.
He tapped the icon labeled Eternal Immortal Wind.
Whoosh—
A dark, silent wind emerged from the void, forming a small, tranquil tornado around him. At first glance, it looked gentle, almost peaceful—but the moment it brushed his skin, Su Chen's eyes narrowed.
He could feel it.
Within that quiet spiral was a destructive force—a presence that could erase existence without warning.
Then, without pause, the tornado began to merge into his body, soul, and consciousness.
BOOM—
His entire being shook.
It was as if every part of him—physical, spiritual, and mental—was being stripped down and reforged. His soul howled, his meridians screamed, but slowly… everything settled.
Silence.
In the vastness of his sea of consciousness, three presences now hovered in perfect harmony:
A giant, glowing green lotus, representing his Wood Sovereign Script.
The translucent, battle-ready Immortal Rebirth Armor, floating like a vigilant guardian.
And the unfathomable Eternal Immortal Wind, swirling silently like a void-born storm.
Su Chen looked down at his bare body, then blinked.
"Good thing I wasn't wearing clothes… they'd be dust by now," he muttered.
With a flick of his fingers, he summoned a clean robe from his system storage and casually draped it over himself using qi.
His eyes shifted toward the cave's exit.
"…It's time."
A smirk crept across his face.
He had been planning this from the very beginning.
When the system offered two reward paths, Su Chen had deliberately chosen Option Two—which required him not to accept any inheritance from the Immortal Palace. That choice had led him to the Immortal Rebirth Armor and the Eternal Immortal Wind.
But then something unexpected happened.
He had consumed the Unity Severing Immortal Fruit, and it resulted in the creation of a sub-body—Huang Wu. Through that twist of fate, he ended up fulfilling both options at once.
Still, even if things had gone differently, his plan remained clear.
"I didn't take the inheritance," he said, cracking his neck, "but who says I can't take it from the ones who did?"
His eyes gleamed with excitement.
He had lacked offensive and defensive techniques before—but not anymore.
"Now… I'll just rob those lucky enough to succeed."
His laughter echoed through the chamber, deep and villainous.
"Jejeje…"
With a shrill whistle, Su Chen shot out of the cave like a streak of divine light, flying toward the Immortal Palace entrance at full speed.
The cat-and-mouse game had just begun.
In just a few seconds, Su Chen reached the end of the exit path. But the moment he arrived, he paused, his eyes narrowing in realization.
"This isn't a cave..." he muttered.
He glanced around. What he had assumed to be a cave was actually the hollow stem of a massive, ancient tree. The winding paths and thick stem stretched high into the sky. He could see the trees below, but they looked tiny—like little saplings. Like Huang Wu, he was also a little surprised. He was still airborne, floating near the wide entrance carved into the bark.
Instead of descending immediately, Su Chen slowly landed near the wall of the tree hole. He walked calmly toward the wall, placing a hand on the ancient wooden surface. Its texture was rough and cool, pulsing faintly with dormant spiritual energy.
He murmured softly, almost to himself, "Eternal Immortal Wind."
Swish—
A thin wisp of dark wind slipped out from his palm. It looked harmless, like a stray breeze, but carried an eerie, unfathomable power. Without making a sound, the wind sank into the wooden wall—no ripples, no signs of activation. It simply vanished.
Su Chen's lips curled into a crooked smile.
"Hehe... if anybody except me enters this palace now..."
He didn't need to finish the sentence. The warning hung in the air like a blade. The Eternal Immortal Wind would activate—and what followed would be best left unspoken.
Jejeje…
Grinning like a villain, he turned toward the exit.
Boom!
With a burst of power, Su Chen shot downward like a thunderbolt from the sky, leaving behind only the faint echo of wind and laughter. A sharp sonic boom split the air as he vanished toward the ground.
