# Chapter 317: The Eternal God
Chikuzen Ohoka, his face transformed into the likeness of the Judge, wore a smug smile as he looked at the invincible monster he had Summoned in a single Turn.
In his opinion, this combo, which he had learned from the Duel Recordings of Jounouchi Katsuya, a Top 4 player in both Duelist Kingdom and Duel City, was the greatest in the world, flawless, and could even be said to surpass the master.
After all, Joey Wheeler had only traded five cards for one to bring out a **Red-Eyes Black Dragon** with 2400 ATK, while the **Sword Hunter** Chikuzen Ohoka Summoned, after being Equipped with **Legendary Sword**, had a staggering 2750 ATK. There were very few Monsters whose ATK could surpass his.
However, Hayato's reaction to his play was one of utter disdain.
"I originally thought that after being banished to the Network World, maybe you guys would break through human limits by becoming inhuman, and get better at dueling," Hayato said, practically writing "Is that it?" on his face.
"If this is all you've got, you're finished, buddy. And if you ask why, it's because hope is already in my Hand."
"My Turn, Draw!"
After Drawing a Card, Hayato immediately played the Card he had just Drawn: "Target locked, annihilate all enemies! Come forth, **X-Head Cannon**!"
As the Card was slapped onto the Duel Disk, a blue flying vehicle appeared On the Field before Hayato, silently and loyally facing the **Sword Hunter**.
[X-Head Cannon] [ATK 1800]
"Oh, facing my invincible **Sword Hunter**, you didn't choose Defense Position to preserve your Life Points as much as possible, but Attack Position?"
"Well, if it wasn't in Attack Position, I couldn't use it to hit you hard." Glancing at the Cards in his Hand, Hayato Set four of them directly in his Backrow. "Set four Cards, I End Turn."
"As expected, it's that move." Seeing Hayato Set a full four Cards at once, Chikuzen Ohoka showed a look of understanding.
"In the Duel Recordings related to you, I discovered something, Defendant Kobayashi Hayato." The Judge's gavel in Chikuzen Ohoka's hand struck the table, as if to declare Hayato's sentence. Chikuzen Ohoka said confidently, "Although on the surface, you often use some strange Monsters, such as **Ojama**, **Armed Dragon**, and other Cards, most Duelists who study your Deck would likely focus their attention on these Monsters."
"But I, as a Legal Elite, am different! I have seen through the essence of your Deck! The synergy between Monsters is completely irrelevant; what needs to be guarded against the most are the strange Spell/Trap Cards in your Deck!"
As he spoke, Chikuzen Ohoka pointed to his Deck and Drew the top Card: "From the moment I knew I was going to face you, I started preparing. Do you know what kind of Cards I put in my Deck?"
"**Mystical Space Typhoon**, **Heavy Storm**, **Giant Trunade**, and even your companion Mai Valentine's **Harpie's Feather Duster**! I've maxed out on all these Cards specifically targeting the Backrow. Although I didn't Draw any of them in the first Turn, my Draw this Turn is quite unlucky for you—it's proof of your impending defeat!"
"Activate the Spell Card I just Drew, **Heavy Storm**! With this, I'll Destroy all the Cards in your Backrow!"
As Chikuzen Ohoka raised the Card in his hand, a storm that indiscriminately swept across the Field instantly formed. In a flash, both the **Legendary Sword** in the **Sword Hunter's** hand and the four Cards Hayato had just Set in his Backrow began to tremble violently, as if they would be swept away by the storm in the next moment!
"Don't think you'll succeed! I Activate my Set Card, **Royal Decree**!" Hayato naturally wouldn't sit by and watch his four Set Cards be Destroyed. He immediately Activated one of them. As the Set Card was flipped, a king wearing a luxurious robe and a crown suddenly appeared before the defendant's stand where Hayato was, raising his hand sternly and pointing at the raging storm:
"By this command, Magic Severance!"
As the king's command was issued, the violent whirlwind truly obeyed his instruction as if it were an intelligent life, disappearing from the Field in a single breath. The **Legendary Sword** in the **Sword Hunter's** hand and Hayato's other three Set Cards in the Backrow also calmed down. However, along with the storm, the dazzling cold light that had originally flowed on the **Legendary Sword** also disappeared.
"Continuous Trap Card, **Royal Decree**. As long as it exists in the Spell & Trap Zone, it Negates all Spell Cards On the Field," Hayato explained unhurriedly.
Chikuzen Ohoka had originally thought that with the Activation of this one Card, he should have been able to secure a significant Advantage, but Hayato managed to counter it. However, despite this, he still felt that the situation was under his control: "The Spell Cards Negated by **Royal Decree** also include your own Cards, right? What's more, to maintain **Royal Decree's** existence, you are forced to pay 700 Life Points during your Standby Phase every Turn."
"And even if the Equip Spell Card is Negated, **Sword Hunter** can still easily Defeat your **X-Head Cannon**!" Saying this, Chikuzen Ohoka commanded, "**Sword Hunter**, Attack **X-Head Cannon**! Sentence: Death Penalty! Immediate Execution!"
The dim, lusterless **Legendary Sword** was discarded by **Sword Hunter** as if throwing a large orange ball. Drawing two sharp long swords again from the scabbard at its waist, **Sword Hunter** Attacked the **X-Head Cannon** On the Field, whose ATK was far inferior to its own.
Although theoretically, Chikuzen Ohoka could have Activated the Judge's Effect at this moment, Banishing Hayato's **X-Head Cannon** On the Field at the cost of 1000 Life Points, and then having **Sword Hunter** Direct Attack Hayato to maximize Damage, out of a stubborn insistence on activating **Sword Hunter's** Effect "Destroy a Monster and Equip it as an Equip Card," and feeling it was slightly wasteful to use the Deck Master Effect now, Chikuzen Ohoka did not directly Activate the Deck Master's Effect.
"Just turn into a departed soul beneath **Sword Hunter's** blade!"
Hearing the Judge's loud voice, Hayato picked at his ear and retorted, "Isn't it a bit much to make such a request of a Machine Type Monster?"
"Besides, protecting the Monsters under my command is my duty as a Duelist! Thinking you can just Destroy my **X-Head Cannon** like that means you don't even put me in your eyes!"
"I Activate the Effect of the Eternal God of Duel Monsters!"
As he spoke, Hayato Drew a Card. Hearing Hayato's words, Chikuzen Ohoka, in his Judge form, looked incredulous: "Impossible! KaibaCorp's database shouldn't have any information about God Cards!"
"Heh heh, that just shows your ignorance. Although the Card I'm about to use isn't a Divine Attribute, calling it a god is not excessive at all!" Hayato smiled and flipped over the only Card he was holding in his Hand. "The Card I'm activating is this one, my most trusted Aibo, my Tamashii! The Invincible **Rainbow Kuriboh**!"
"When an opponent's Monster Declares an Attack, Equip **Rainbow Kuriboh** to the attacking Monster. Therefore, a Monster Equipped with **Rainbow Kuriboh** cannot Attack!"
"I-It's this Card!?"
Chikuzen Ohoka wasn't lying when he said he had "studied the Duel Recordings of famous Duelists," so he also clearly knew how powerful the Effect of **Rainbow Kuriboh**, which Hayato had used countless times, was. Among other things, **Rainbow Kuriboh's** illustrious battle record included, but was not limited to, "the key Card that Defeated Insect Haga," and "creating the opportunity for victory against Maximillion Pegasus."
It was also one of the most representative Cards of Kobayashi Hayato, one of the two King of Games, and one of the few Cards included in the KaibaCorp database.
As a seven-colored light curtain appeared, **Sword Hunter**, which was skilled at Equipping other Monsters to itself, met the greatest opponent of its career. The soft and elastic light curtain was impenetrable to needles and water, and no matter how **Sword Hunter** struggled, it still couldn't escape **Rainbow Kuriboh's** Binding Play.
[Sword Hunter] [ATK 2450]
**Legendary Sword** was Negated, and its Attack ability was also stripped away by **Rainbow Kuriboh**. The **Sword Hunter** that Chikuzen Ohoka had painstakingly Summoned last Turn instantly turned into a useless Wall Monster. It served no other purpose than blocking Hayato's Attack Route.
"Tch, to think you'd use this kind of Monster to restrict me. Your crime is increased by one degree, Kobayashi Hayato," Chikuzen Ohoka said, annoyed.
"Sounds like you're quite annoyed with me?" Hayato raised an eyebrow, revealing a cold smile. "Then next, I'll make you even more annoyed with me."
"During your Battle Phase, I Activate the Effect of my Deck Master, **Cactus Fighter**." Hayato pointed to the Plant Warrior standing beside the defendant's stand. "Once per Turn, it can halve the ATK of one Monster On my Field and make it gain the same Effect as **Cactus Fighter**. This Effect can also be Activated during the opponent's Turn."
"I will halve **X-Head Cannon's** ATK and make it gain the same Effect as **Cactus Fighter**."
[X-Head Cannon] [ATK 1800 → 900]
"Then, I Activate my Set Card in the Backrow, the Continuous Trap Card **Summon Limit**."
Another Card opened in Hayato's Backrow, revealing the images of three red, yellow, and green Gear monsters. Hayato did not possess these three monsters; he had only seen them in Yugi Mutou's Deck. However, this did not prevent Hayato from using this Card.
"As long as **Summon Limit** is On the Field, when a Monster is successfully Special Summoned, it must be changed to Face-Up Attack Position, and if it can Attack, it must Attack."
Perhaps it's not as rich as in Chaoyang Prison?
And I heard about the Cultural Performer spots, as long as one more Artist goes in, their professional ability is probably stronger than his.
