Chapter 53 - Unto Evil I Submit My Soul

Ya stared at the expanse that stretched before them, it was dark, it was lifeless, classical hell landscape from what he'd been seen on this journey since he was reawakened and blessed to serve his Master for all of eternity.

"So this is the Noxsphere, Master?" He asked.

His Master smiled, lava spittle heavy on his teeth. He truly was glorious.

"No, my warrior. We are still miles away. Remember what I told you?"

His Master had regaled him with many a tale since his Reawakening. Tales of the history of Naraku, tales of Assarians, tales of the Fey, tales of the realms which they had crossed to get here.

So many tales. Of history, of victory, of death, of glory.

But none in the histories had been more victorious, nor glorious than his Master. None had killed as much as he. The amount he'd killed to create the Hakokage Box was staggering and had really enlightened Ya to the great darkness of his Master.

"Which tale do you speak of, Master? Forgive your servant for lacking the ability to follow your thought process," Ya said, bowing low at the waist.

The Master placed a hand on his head and combed through it with his cracked and blackened fingers.

"Fear not, my warrior. If you were to become capable of that then we may as well as never have reached the point of our journey," the Master said, calmly.

Ya had no understanding of his meaning, but knew his Master was wise beyond the age of man, thus it was not extraordinary that his sageful words were beyond the reasoning of a lowly pseudo immortal such as him.

"As you say, Master."

"Indeed. Anyway, I sought to remind you of my words of the Fey."

Ah, that particular tale. It was the tale of how the Feys had sealed the Noxsphere. They had sealed it with the lives of Fey prisoners. As long as the prisoners were alive the seals shall remain active.

Before, his Master had needed to kill one of the imprisoned Feys to break one seal to be able to reach into the Noxsphere to retrieve his Hakokage Box which had been resting there for centuries.

In the aftermath, according to his Master, a few Lagarakeis had broken through and one of them now resided inside of him, Ya.

He remembered the Fey woman saying something like that.

"I recall the magnificent tale of your victory against the Feys, my Master."

The Demon Prince snorted. "It wasn't much of a victory. They were imprisoned, it wasn't much of a hassle to kill just one."

"Regardless, it was a victory, my Master. If an imprisoned Fey was no hassle to kill, it stands to reason that a healthy one would only take much of an effort," he praised, regarding his Master with awe.

"As you say," the Demon Prince humored him. "It is good you remember that tale because we are going to be reenacting it. Do you know how I made you mine, my young warrior?"

"That is a tale I haven't had the pleasure of hearing from you, my Master."

"Hmmm," his Master sounded very pleased with himself. "It was very carefully orchestrated. You might never remember this, but before your death, you once had an incident in which the spiritual realm of the Feys was involved. Twice you have spoken the words of destruction. A record for any mortal or pseudo immortal. The first time you did it was to kill a Lagarakei. Yes, my warrior, you have slain a beast of such a great and infernal repute. It was just before the incident with limbo. You drew the attention of everyone in Naraku, I must tell you. We all sent our presence forward to investigate this lowly mortal who had done such a thing of great power while possessing none. I happened to catch a glimpse of your soul during the limbo accident and I saw just how special you are, my dear warrior. You, my great arrow, were always going to be mine. It took me nothing to see the path you had walked, I saw who you walked it for and what your soul goal was, how it burned so much inside of you it threatened to consume you at every breath you took."

His Master turned around so they could be face to face, staring into each other's eyes as he spoke. "I figured out then, that it'd be not farther into the future before you'd come to me possessing a request to fulfill that one great desire which only I could grant you. And indeed, just as I'd predicted, you came to me. I stole you on this journey, my warrior, knowing how brilliant you are going to be. I knew of the War of Shadow and Silence, banked on you paying the Blood Toll for our journey—on you dying upon the peak of the Eclipse of Eternity and being reborn, being made anew. I guided your instincts to use the word of destruction knowing it would cause the shadow lord to escape into your soul to attempt an escape from nothingness. I molded his soul, imbued it with my power, and urged you to take it in. Thus, you became mine, my arrow of victory."

"This grand tale of your great cunning has brought me so much pleasure, my Master. I must apologize for how much stress you went through in making me your eternal servant."

The Master chuckled. "My loyal servant should know better than to plead my grace with empty hands."

Ya fell to his knees. "Speak the word. I will do anything to earn your grace for any trouble I may have caused you in obtaining my will and soul."

"Good. You mean that."

"More than anything has ever had meaning, Master," Ya proclaimed, raising his head to stare into his Master's eyes so he's great Master would determine his sincerity for himself. "Speak the word, Master. Anything. I. Will. Do. It."

"Then pay heed to my command," his Master ordered.

Ya focused on the words of his Master. At that moment, nothing else in the universe existed save the sacred order he was about to receive.

"You shall equip yourself."

He paid heed.

"I shall create a portal to lead you."

The great arrow paid heed.

"You shall step in, guided by the fury of your Master."

He paid heed evermore.

"Your soul shall be opened to me, and I shall reside in you."

His joy brimmed as he paid heed to his Master.

"With my guidance you shall invade the realm of limbo."

Resolutely, he paid heed.

"And on my order you shall take the lives of countless Feys."

Grinning, the young servant paid heed.

"Every core within you shall be unleashed upon them. You shall mow over their lives until the Noxsphere is broken to shards."

He blinked no more, he paid heed.

"You shall bring me death, you shall bring me chaos, you shall bring me glory. This is the price of my grace."

Ya bowed his head low and opened up his soul.
