"Sweet talker!"

Tsunade didn't believe him. Crossing her arms, she asked, "Have you said the same thing to other girls?"

"Never! Absolutely not!" Sasame quickly stood up, swearing earnestly.

"Hmph. Men."

Tsunade glared at him, though a faint smile tugged at her lips. Her tone softened as she said, "Let's go out."

Sasame immediately reached out and helped her up.

Tsunade walked to the entrance, leaning against the wall as she balanced on one foot to change her shoes.

The high slit of her qipao exposed her thighs completely to Sasame's gaze. He swallowed hard, feeling a pang of regret.

He should've been the one helping her put them on.

But after being scolded earlier, he'd lost his chance.

Still, Sasame was happy.

This is what dating should feel like.

After slipping on her left shoe, Tsunade lifted her head and noticed his burning stare. "Like what you see?" she asked.

Sasame nodded eagerly.

"You really are no different from other men," Tsunade said, rolling her eyes.

"None of them are as capable as me! Today, you'll get to taste my cooking!"

Sasame's words were both a rebuttal and a diversion.

"When did you learn to cook?" Tsunade chuckled, a flicker of suspicion in her eyes. "Don't tell me you learned from me?"

"Of course not!"

The moment the words left his mouth, he saw her expression darken—too late to take it back.

Tsunade raised her still-bare right leg, pressing her black-stockinged foot against his chest and pinning him to the wall.

"Are you saying my cooking is bad?" she demanded, furious.

"Wrongful accusation!"

Sasame sucked in a sharp breath. Thank the Slug Sage for my senjutsu training—otherwise, I wouldn't have survived that.

At this moment, he was grateful to Katsuyu.

Having superhuman regeneration really does come in handy.

But it wasn't a total loss—from this angle, he could see the tantalizing view trailing up her stockings and beneath the qipao.

"Uh… What are you two doing?"

Shizune pushed the door open and froze at the bizarre scene before her.

And why is Lady Tsunade wearing a qipao?!

"Nothing," Tsunade replied casually, continuing to put on her shoe. "I'm taking Sasame out. We won't be back for lunch or dinner."

An ordinary girl would've been mortified, but Tsunade remained completely unruffled—so much so that Shizune started doubting her own assumptions.

"Should I pack some food for you?"

"No need," Tsunade waved her off. "Someone else will treat us."

"Then… be careful."

Though still puzzled, Shizune didn't press further.

The two stepped outside.

Sasame deliberately walked behind Tsunade.

The qipao hugged her figure, showcasing her curves in a way that redefined sensuality.

Her full, rounded hips were nothing short of a lethal weapon.

Suddenly aware of his gaze, Tsunade stopped and asked, "Where do you want to go? Should we have Katsuyu take us?"

"Just by the river is fine," Sasame replied, suppressing his disappointment.

"Mm."

Tsunade summoned Katsuyu.

A moment later, they arrived in a secluded valley.

Sasame opened his eyes to a breathtaking view—a waterfall, a wide river, and a small grove of trees.

Perfect. The ideal "outdoor" setting.

Under Tsunade's slightly surprised gaze, Sasame unsealed a storage scroll and began laying out a picnic blanket, a grill, and various cooking utensils.

In no time, he'd set up a cozy little campsite.

He could've just used Wood Release, but where's the effort in that?

Pulling out two fishing rods, Sasame grinned. "Let's go fishing."

"I don't know how," Tsunade admitted, eyeing the unfamiliar equipment.

Despite her rough-and-tumble personality, she was the Leaf's princess.

Fishing wasn't exactly in her skill set.

"It's easy. Just bait the hook, cast the line, and wait for a bite."

Sasame handed her a rod and patted a long bench beside him. "Sit here."

The bench wasn't very wide.

They were pressed close together, but it was warm.

After a few minutes, Tsunade tossed her rod aside. "I'm done."

Sasame had already caught two fish, while she hadn't gotten a single one. Her patience had run out.

"Then you lose," Sasame teased, nudging her with his shoulder.

"Lose what?" Tsunade turned, studying his profile. "We weren't competing."

"Wrong. The moment a fisherman picks up a rod, the competition begins," Sasame declared with mock solemnity. "Don't underestimate us!"

Tsunade couldn't help but laugh at his theatrics. "And what happens if I lose?"

"You accept your punishment," Sasame answered without hesitation. "A bet's a bet. You're one of the Legendary Sannin—you wouldn't cheat, would you?"

"What punishment?" Tsunade asked, intrigued.

"I need a softer seat."

Sasame stood and promptly settled into her lap.

Tsunade blinked in surprise but adjusted slightly, her long legs shifting as she wrapped her arms around him. Her voluptuous body molded into the perfect cushion.

Listening to his breathing, she felt an inexplicable warmth rise to her cheeks.

After a moment, she teased, "What's wrong? Only a few minutes in, and you've already gone limp? Not a single bite."

"That's your fault!" Sasame shot back, indignant. "You're distracting me!"

"Blaming others for your own shortcomings," Tsunade said, smirking.

Sasame froze. Then—

Damn this woman!

I'll make her eat her words!

Channeling the discipline of a sage, Sasame banished all impure thoughts and focused solely on fishing.

Soon, Tsunade's lips parted in astonishment. "How are there so many?"

It was as if the fish recognized him—five bites in under a minute.

Sasame tilted his chin up smugly. "See? Told you I had skills."

Tsunade chuckled.

Men and their strange pride…

With more than enough fish for both of them, Sasame began his culinary showcase.

"Where did you learn this?" Tsunade took a bite and her eyes lit up.

This is incredible!

She'd never tasted grilled fish this delicious.

"Ah, it's nothing special," Sasame said, too pleased with himself to notice the edge in Tsunade's gaze.

Her voice turned dangerously sweet. "Do you not want to eat my cooking anymore?"

"W-What? Of course I do!" Sasame stiffened. "I'd eat it every day!"

"With a silver tongue like that, who knows how many girls you'll fool in the future."

Tsunade flicked his forehead lightly.

"I'd only fool my sis—"

Catching himself, Sasame quickly changed the subject. "Here, try this grilled meat too."

Almost slipped up.

Tsunade lowered her head, chewing quietly, a strange mix of embarrassment and satisfaction swirling inside her.

So… I really do have charm, huh?

Meanwhile, in the Uchiha compound.

"Clan Head, according to Uchiha Izumi's report, the attacker was Orochimaru."

"This is an outrage! We must retaliate!"

"Three years ago—it was all staged by the village elders!"

"Not long ago, Hiruzen's eldest son, Sarutobi Seinosuke, revealed Wood Release during a mission!"

"Clan Head, with things like this—what else are you waiting for?!"

Uchiha Fugaku listened to the furious clamor, his stern face darkening.

Over the years, the radical faction had grown rapidly, leaving the moderates as a pitiful minority.

Now, the entire clan was demanding rebellion. He had no choice but to fight.

His gaze shifted to his silent son. "Itachi. What do you think?"

"I have nothing to say."

Itachi knew words were useless now.

Only force would decide things.
