Chapter 20 - Jeunk's Breakdown

There was one thing Si-woo had to admit about Jeunk: the bastard was resilient.

For an entire week, Si-woo had crafted the most humiliating tortures the system could offer for a bully like him. But Jeunk endured them all—without a shred of shame.

Monday.

Every class, right after lunch, he had to strike an absurd pose—like Rodin's Thinker or a monkey scratching its armpits.

Quest: Make those around you laugh while remaining completely still for at least one hour.

Requirement: 3 times (0/3)

Reward: +1% chance of a special reward per amused onlooker. (Winnings doubled.)

That very evening, a high-tier reward dropped.

Reward acquired: "Selective Amnesia" – Makes observers forget the last two minutes.

I'll save this one for a real mission, Jeunk thought.

Tuesday.

Through the system, Si-woo had ordered him to wear the school's beaver mascot costume and walk around with a megaphone, apologizing to everyone he'd ever hit.

Quest: Seek forgiveness from the lowest-ranked students.

Reward: Double earnings for each student who forgives you.

Seeing Jeunk bow to him in that ridiculous costume didn't bring Si-woo any joy like expected. Only disgust.

He knew those apologies were fake. Jeunk wasn't repenting—he was selling his pride for a mountain of gold.

In just three days, Jeunk had earned billions of gold coins. He was now among the top 10% wealthiest people on the planet. But that wasn't enough. He had to become number one.

His system let him buy stat upgrades. The more he spent, the higher the cost climbed.

At first, he tried that mechanic—already dreaming of crushing Il-seong in a rematch. But now? He hoarded every coin like it was sacred.

Wednesday.

Junk posted on the class group chat:

Quest: Fulfill all of your classmates' demands until 17:00.

Reward: Triple payout if completed within a minute. + Skill unlocked: "Master's Word" — Give one unrefusable order per week.

Do-Yun tested it immediately, ordering Jeunk to bark like a dog during roll call. Jeunk complied.

Then came the money requests. Tiny amounts, compared to what he was raking in.

Do-Yun had him play "human chair" during history class. Relishing having the upper hand over his former boss.

The teacher looked confused—but said nothing.

Even Si-woo gave in and told him to fetch a strawberry juice. Mi-Cha jumped in instantly:

— Don't take advantage! Can't you see he's lost his mind?!

Si-woo reimbursed him, despite Jeunk's refusal. But the rest of the class had no such reservations.

They seized the moment to take revenge for every past beating.

By the end of the day, Jeunk was shirtless, with insults scribbled across his chest in ink, bruises forming like medals of shame. He just walked around the school with a cracked smile while other laughed at him.

Il-seong wasn't okay with it either. Every time he tried to intervene, Jeunk shoved him away.

— Go cry to your Master if you've got a problem! I'll be so rich soon, no one will be able to stop me, you bastard.

— I'm trying to help you, Il-seong growled.

Jeunk didn't care. Blinded by the obscene rewards, he begged for more requests at the feet of amused spectator.

Even Si-woo began to feel uneasy.

He had reduced his worst nightmare into a money-hungry bitch in within a few days… and now, he forbidden himself to feel bad for him. But it was difficult.

Thursday.

The school buzzed with excitement. Everyone raced inside, eager to see what Jeunk would do next.

Even the teachers enjoyed watching the once-feared bully crumble from his self-built throne.

He didn't disappoint.

Class by class, Jeunk bowed deeply to each teacher and announced:

— I apologize for my behavior. From now on, I'll treat you as my mentors.

Quest: Show respect to your elders and make them proud of themself.

Reward: Triple payout per adult affected.

One teacher cried. Another whacked him on the head with a textbook. Most just laughed.

Friday.

Si-woo had grown tired of his petty revenge. He gave Jeunk the day off.

But without quests, Jeunk grew irritable. He tried to pick a fight with Do-Yun—who responded with nothing but a cold stare.

Jeunk, shocked, acted out in class, chewing gum and reading manhwa in full view of the teacher.

A ruler struck his shin.

— I'll tell my dad! Jeunk shrieked, grabbing his leg like it was broken.

— Please do, the teacher replied, adjusting his glasses. I've got some very entertaining videos to show him.

Indeed, the students had been uploading Jeunk's "missions" online.

No major media outlet had picked them up—yet.

Jeunk paled.

He considered using "Master's Word"... but, what if something bigger came up?

He slumped back into his seat and stayed quiet.

His reign of terror had ended.

Even Il-seong and Mi-Cha didn't bother reporting his behaviour to the principal. The man was still clueless about his own son's transformation, proudly talking about the upcoming midterm ceremony and the visiting Ministry official.

But to Si-woo, the weirdest part wasn't Jeunk.

It was Dr. Kim.

The man kept barging into class unannounced, hugging Si-woo while flashing photos of Jeunk in humiliating outfits, and cooing like a proud father :

— So much cruelty in such a tiny body… Incredible.

Then he'd leave, smiling, ignoring the stunned silence behind him.

It was clear now: the doctor knew. The way he acted… it was too deliberate.

Si-woo began to wonder: Is he creeping me out to stop me from confronting him ?

Il-seong saw it as a threat.

Stay quiet player… or I'll do the same to Si-woo.

Il-seong clenched his fists. He wouldn't let a sadistic Master touch his friend.

He endured the absurd quests in silence.

Meanwhile, Jeunk never once complained.

He sat alone, grinning, watching his fortune grow as he played with the system's slot machine.

He dreamed out loud of buying the school, firing everyone, forcing drama actors to act out his twisted scripts.

He'd become a star. Mi-Cha would beg for a role. He'd grant it—on one condition: she'd stop acting so cold.

But no matter how big his dreams became… Si-woo, watching through the system, saw the truth.

At night, Jeunk couldn't even look his parents into their eyes.

He'd sit on his bed, staring blankly, shame crawling up his spine. Scared of the next school day.

That was what Si-woo wanted.

He wanted the brute to feel it. To understand what it meant to live in fear, to be humiliated.

But even then, Jeunk played the victim and the tough guy.

— They're all just jealous. I'm going to win. Il-seong'll pay too…

He repeated it over and over, like a mantra, as he drifted to sleep.

It wasn't satisfying. In the end, Si-woo just wanted to kick him out of his life. He felt so pity for him that he didn't make him wait too long before delivering the final blow.

Quest: Imitate a pig in front of over 1,000 people for 60 seconds.

Reward: Your total past weekly earnings ×1000.

The quest arrived on the morning of the grand ceremony.

Perfect. Jeunk was thrilled.

He'd been through worse. This would be easy. And the reward? More than worth it.

He had his special skill now. Nothing could stop him. Nobody would even know.

Strutting through the gates, Jeunk glared at every student who snickered.

— Laugh while you can! After today, you'll regret everything you did to me!

No one took him seriously.

They shared the videos, laughed at the photos—he had become the school's favorite clown.

Jeunk's fury boiled. He wanted to break their noses, to wipe those grins off their faces.

But he held back.

This ceremony—this final quest—would change everything.

He just knew it.
