A fire is lit as Blake, Kyra and Cane. Spent the night banish in the woods, with the creatures of Grimmer lurking the night, with their red eyes peeping thought the trees waiting for the time to attack. Kyra lay on Blake shoulder as she's tired and ready for sleep. Cane look at her, and he smile too.
"Tell ma, Cane. Why does she care about me?" He said.
"You're the first one who she likes in years. She hated her life back in the kingdom, being raise by the king is very... stressful." He said.
Blake wrap around Kyra and she smile a little. Blake see something in the skies. For it was an eagle, he laugh a little. Then a Grimmer bird attacks it, it screech as Kyra woke up and Cane jolt up and grab his sword.
It looks down and attacks the others, they all ran into the woods. With the others Grimmers chasing after them, Cane slashes one by one of them who tries to attack them.
They stop and see more of them, they turn and they were trap as the Grimmers circle around them, with them drooling and growling at them. Cane steps in and pointed his swords against them. They attack, as Cane was about to take them down, someone appears.
Blake knew who it was, for it was Shelly. Cover in scars and bruises. She uses her blood lust that made them, ran away. She calms down and look at the people, and she smile for she see's Blake.
"Shelly, your alive." He said.
"Yes, indeed Blake. It's nice to see you again after 2 weeks." She said.
The others just stair at her and she introduced herself.
"Hello humans. I am Shelly, the last of the demon dragon tribe." She said.
"Wait, Blake told us all about you yesterday. Saying how you save him from the fall." She said.
"That is true, now come with me. We need to move before the other pack shows up." She said.
They follow Shelly, into an abandoned shack, where she did some redecoration of the place. Cane picks up a picture on the ground for that an elders used to live here. He puts it on a counter.
Shelly starts up a fire and gets them food. For it was pork chop that she killed pigs in order to heal up. They all sat around the fire and Blake was wondering something about Shelly.
"Hey, Shelly. Why are you the only one of your kind left." He said.
"Yeah, I read stories about how all of the demon dragons were wipe out." He said.
"It's... Going to be a long story." She said.
Shelly explain how she is the last one left, dated back hundreds-thousands years ago when technology was still being under go
Where the demon dragons hid deep in the woods. As their land was known as the Demon Of the World Catastrophe.
Shelly was the youngest of the leaders of the kingdom with the royal guards led her home from school. She is welcome by the maids.
"Welcome home, Princess Shelly." They said.
"It's good to be home too" She said.
Shelly loved her life, she loved her family too. Despite all of the fights and anger they been through. She still held her head high and no matter what comes her way. She will be there, to protect those who need to be protected.
"Good morning, Princess Shelly." She said.
"Good morning to you as well, Elsie." She said.
"Shelly, your father would like have a word with you." She said.
She went to her father and her father is a big, dragon that is the tallest of the demon dragon of them all. His wife held his hand.
Shelly mother is the wife of the king, with her jewels all over her body and some on her ears to look like earrings.
"You wanted to see me, father?" She said.
"Yes my daughter, I did want to see. The reason I called you here is to tell you, something." He said.
His hand started to tremble as he grab his hand and took a deep breath. He look at Shelly.
"Shelly, your siblings. There dead." He said.
Shelly jaw drop and was in shock.
"D-dad. W-what did you say?" She said.
"It's true. All of your four siblings were just getting woods for the town only for Grimmers to attack and kill them all." He said.
"No. No. NO NO NO NO!!! Tell me this isn't true. Maybe it was the humans who did this." She said.
Her mother calmly walk towards her and hug her.
"I'm sorry." She said.
A big bang echo outside of the kingdom, they rush outside for the Grimmers to attack the kingdom. As the guards tried to defend the people but they just get eaten by the Grimmers and they were not prepared to fight against this many.
As some of them breach the castle and they were inside of the castle. As Shelly and her parents both try to fly away but they can't fly past against this many Grimmers. And one knock them both down to the ground.
"Mom! Dad! Come on we need to go!" She said.
"No. You need to go." He said.
"What?" She said.
"Listen to me, and protect those who need to be protected. For us demon dragons can not age. We maybe demons but we are not immortal. You need to go ahead and remember our name of who we are." He said.
"Here, I open a portal for your escape." She said.
"Go" He said.
He shoved her into the portal and he smile at her. And portal closed and appear in the middle of nowhere. She punch a tree that leaves a crack in it. She looks up and see the Heaven Tree. She looks at it and raise her hand at the tree and she remember what he said.
"Protect those who need to be protected." She said.
Back to the present where the fire is out and she opens her eyes, and look at them. Who was speechless.
"I can't believe it. You were a princess?" He said.
"But what I remember in the book is that, the demon dragons were wipe out by an earthquake." She said.
She chuckle a little.
"Yes that what they say. But that how it happened. So I spent a hundred thousands years living in secret while helping those who need to be protected." She said.
Blake look at her and look at her back and notice a scar on her back.
"Well any way, that's enough story. We need to get some shut eyes We need to get back in the kingdom buy dawn." He said.
They all lay down and Blake looks up at the ceiling, and he closes his eyes.
