Chapter 94 - The Synthesis of a New Element

"Let's talk after I actually solve the palladium poisoning issue."

Iron Man didn't take the matter too seriously. After giving a quick nod to Nick Fury, he left the secret base.

He returned to Stark Tower.

"Sir! Welcome back!"

JARVIS greeted him warmly and politely, like a loyal butler.

But Iron Man couldn't be bothered with JARVIS. He eagerly pulled out a set of Mark 7 armor.

Then, relying on the information in his mind, he attempted to store the Mark 7 armor inside the Universal Capsule.

Whoosh!

In a blink, the Mark 7 armor vanished before his eyes.

Iron Man's eyes lit up. After taking a deep breath, he threw the Universal Capsule onto the floor.

Boom!

With a puff of smoke, the Iron Man armor reappeared right in front of him.

"Amazing!"

Even a top-tier scientist like Iron Man couldn't help but marvel. The technology involved in the Universal Capsule was far beyond his reach.

Since he had confirmed the capsule worked, Iron Man didn't waste another word. He immediately stored a set of Mark 7 armor inside the Universal Capsule.

As he had anticipated, he turned the capsule into a pendant and wore it around his neck—absolutely perfect.

Just like that, the problem of carrying his Iron Man armor everywhere was perfectly solved.

"Sir, someone's here. It's an agent from S.H.I.E.L.D. who has visited before—Agent Hill."

After toying with the Universal Capsule for a while, JARVIS suddenly spoke up.

"Let them in," Iron Man ordered without looking back. Clearly, Nick Fury had sent something over.

Iron Man was very curious about what Howard had left behind for him.

Soon, Iron Man saw it—a vintage suitcase with Howard Stark's name printed on it.

Opening it, he found some Arc Reactor blueprints and other related materials.

Stark glanced over them expressionlessly; he didn't pay them much mind. The knowledge in those documents was something he had long since mastered.

Finally, Stark began to play the videotape inside the case.

It was mostly Howard Stark talking about the Stark Expo, which nearly put Iron Man to sleep—it all seemed useless.

Just when Iron Man was about to give up, a voice suddenly grabbed his attention: "Tony!"

It was Howard's voice on the screen, prompting Iron Man to lift his head and look again.

"You're still young, so I'm recording this in advance. Everything here is something I created for you!"

"One day you'll understand—this represents more than human invention. It is my life's work. It is the key to the future!"

"I'm limited by the technology of my time, but one day, you'll understand it all. You'll change the world."

"And my greatest creation will always be... you!"

The video ended there.

Iron Man sat frozen in front of the screen, eyes misty. It caught him completely off guard.

All this time, he had believed his father didn't love him. But in that moment, Iron Man realized how wrong he had been.

Nick Fury had been right—though he was Howard's son, he never truly understood him.

After taking some time to regain his composure, Iron Man began to reflect.

Nick Fury had confidently said that what Howard left behind could help him solve the palladium poisoning issue, but at this point, Iron Man was still completely clueless.

He had watched the video, reviewed the Arc Reactor blueprints, and read Howard's old notes—but none of it offered any clear answers.

"Only I have the wisdom and resources to complete all of this. What exactly was Howard trying to tell me?"

Iron Man fell into deep thought.

And then… he spiraled down a rabbit hole.

But Iron Man wasn't the type to give up easily. He didn't stop just because of temporary setbacks.

For the next week, Iron Man threw himself obsessively into studying the materials, practically living in his lab.

Until one day—on his twentieth rewatch of the Howard video—his gaze happened to fall on the Stark Expo model in the footage.

A flash of inspiration suddenly lit up in his mind.

Iron Man shot upright.

"No way!"

His eyes widened with disbelief.

Unable to contain his excitement, he immediately called Pepper Potts:

"Pepper, I remember there's a model of the Stark Expo in your office, right? Send it to me ASAP! I need it!"

"Stark? You mean those models? Why are you suddenly interested in those? What do you need them for?"

Pepper sounded baffled. "I'm really busy right now… you've dumped all the company's work on me."

"Pepper, this is important! Have someone send it over now!"

Iron Man didn't explain further and kept urging her.

Though confused by his sudden obsession, Pepper sensed the urgency in Iron Man's voice. She immediately called Happy.

Following Iron Man's instructions, they delivered the models to Stark Tower.

Once Iron Man got the model, he cleared everyone out of the room, locked the door, and began his experiment with eagerness.

"JARVIS, scan this model and create a digital version. I need an interactive projection!"

Following the command, waves of blue light began to ripple. JARVIS quickly scanned the model and built a complete holographic projection.

Iron Man immediately enlarged the projection and spread it throughout the room. The idea he had in his mind now felt more and more plausible.

"What does this look like?"

Iron Man asked himself confidently. "It looks like an atom."

"And the nucleus… is right here!"

Iron Man's gaze fell upon a large globe within the model.
