Danzō ripped off his bandages with a sudden movement, revealing the right side of his body.
Satoru smiled upon seeing a Sharingan occupying his right eye.
Several more were grotesquely embedded in his right arm.
"Four..." he murmured. "Only four. What a disappointment."
One of the eyes on Danzō's arm suddenly dimmed, losing its glow.
It closed like a withered flower.
Danzō noticed immediately and frowned.
His muscles tensed. His gaze turned as sharp as a dagger. He gripped his cane so hard his knuckles turned white.
"What the hell are you doing, you damn brat?!" he roared, a slight tremor in his voice betraying what he really felt: fear.
Satoru gave a small smile, his eyes locked on the Sharingan in Danzō's arm.
"I'm taking away your toys, old man... one by one."
His voice was calm, but laced with venom.
In total, Satoru noticed that Danzō had only three active Sharingan left.
And when all of them closed, Danzō wouldn't be able to return from death.
Danzō used the implanted Sharingan to activate Izanagi, a powerful genjutsu that blurred the line between reality and illusion within his personal space.
Thanks to this technique, he had the ability to manipulate his very existence, altering the course of fate and evading death.
Just as he himself proclaimed: he completely rejected the idea of dying.
The Izanagi represented the pinnacle of the Sharingan's ocular power, a forbidden technique capable of turning any injury —even death— into mere illusion. But its use came at a high price: every time it was activated, the eye that cast it lost its light forever.
But for Danzō, sacrificing an eye to escape death was a fair trade.
Thanks to Orochimaru's experiments and the implantation of Hashirama Senju's DNA in his body, Danzō managed to graft multiple Sharingan into his right arm.
This not only allowed him to withstand the strain of the Sharingan but also granted him access to the First Hokage's Kekkei Genkai: Wood Release.
However, that abuse of the legacy of the great clans was something Satoru would not allow.
Satoru was convinced that Danzō was the true cause behind the disappearance of the Senju Clan.
And now, that same pattern of destruction was repeating with the Uchiha, condemned to extinction by Danzō's sick obsession with stealing their eyes.
That's why Satoru would end the problem at its root.
When Danzō blinked, Satoru vanished without a trace.
The only thing that broke the silence was the sudden flapping of wings, a deep and powerful sound that cut through the air.
Danzō immediately assumed it was a summoning. It had to be huge, judging by the force of the wingbeats.
But then, Satoru descended from above, falling like lightning. He landed in front of him, one knee touching the ground, raising a cloud of dust.
"Hero landing," Satoru joked mentally, with no intention of saying something so embarrassing out loud.
It was then that Danzō saw him clearly.
A pair of imposing, luminous white wings extended from Satoru's back, glowing as if forged from pure light.
Danzō didn't have time to react. He was too absorbed, almost hypnotized, by those majestic wings.
His mind got caught, for an instant, between awe and disbelief.
And in that brief moment of distraction, he paid the price.
With a single movement of his wings, Satoru generated a colossal gust of wind that hurled him through the air. Danzō was sent flying, crashing into the trunk of a nearby tree.
Before he could stand, he was caught. The tree's branches began to move, twisting like snakes.
In a matter of seconds, they had completely immobilized him, trapping him from his ankles to his shoulders.
Then he looked up, straining his neck between the branches that held him, and saw him.
Satoru Senju, just a few meters away, smiling.
"You might not die..." said Satoru coldly, "...but I can still make you suffer."
The branches snapped shut, crushing Danzō with all their strength, without mercy.
The first thing heard was the horrible sound of his bones breaking. His right arm, full of Sharingan, was crushed like paper. The branches squeezed so tightly that his body began to bend in impossible ways. His legs cracked, his spine broke, and his chest slowly caved in as if being crushed by a press.
Danzō tried to scream, but couldn't. His mouth filled with blood, and only a choked gurgle came out. One of his eyes burst inside his skull from the pressure, and his face was completely deformed.
His ribs pierced through his skin from the inside. His organs were shattered like rotten fruit. What once was a human body became an unrecognizable mass of flesh, bone, and blood.
The branches, soaked in blood, slowly opened and dropped what was left. It wasn't a body. Just a formless heap of remains.
Then, what was left of Danzō's mangled body faded away, dissipating like a mere illusion.
A few meters away, Danzō reappeared intact, as if nothing had happened.
But for him, it had.
His mind was on the verge of collapse after experiencing two horrific deaths.
Gasping, he leaned slightly forward, resting a hand on his knee. He struggled to breathe. Then he straightened up suddenly, forcing his body to obey, and fixed his gaze on Satoru.
He couldn't falter. He couldn't allow even a second of doubt or distraction.
Satoru smiled at seeing him like that: exhausted, on the brink of collapse, fighting to stay standing.
But what pleased him most wasn't his suffering... it was what he saw on his arm.
Another Sharingan had closed.
Satoru narrowed his eyes, focused.
One less.
His smile widened, not out of mockery, but certainty.
Each time Danzō evaded death, he paid a price. And that price was nearing its limit.
Satoru pointed at Danzō with a finger, which began to glow with intense light, as if a spark ignited at its tip.
"I'm not giving you a single chance," said Satoru, his voice cold and firm. "You won't even be able to move, let alone breathe."
Then, with a defiant smile, he said:
"Bang~!"
A shot pierced Danzō's forehead, leaving a hole just a few centimeters wide, but enough to end his life instantly.
Danzō was dead. Again. Unable to avoid his fate, trapped in an inevitable cycle of death.
And Satoru kept killing him, again and again, until finally, Danzō did not rise again.
